  1. I think the Roubideau (sp?) Flyfishermen were there also. Something about a "fly-fishing club" just seems so...... ????...... (Help me out here PC police).
  2. Occasionally you'll run into one like that. I had one argue with me saying that carp and buffalo were the same fish, just different regional names. He wasn't a young new agent either.

    What's Cooking?

Oh my heavens, the PC police are here. 😳 Quick! Shower them with thoughts and prayers!

If you drank Corona, dated midgets, and had a Pekinese.....Judge I must.
  5. Oh was it packed? Geeze 🙄

None of that XX swill in this house, thank you very much. The price includes a 6 of MGD, some shredded cheese, and 2 bags of Frito Scoopers. 😋

A $46.78 pot of chili is in the makings. This stuff is amazing. Best chili ever! But it ain't cheap to make.
  8. I'm thinking that I wanna go Monday. I'd kinda like to have Sugarbritches whip up a batch of chili, take the Coleman stove to warm it up, and just make a day of it. Any of you other non-working bums gonna be there?
  9. I'm sure it was, pellets get more wind deflection than you think they should. At 40 yards with only a 10 mph cross-breeze I am a whole mildot off. I just recently discovered that I shoot way more consistent with my scope on 6x than on 9x. My mildots make more sense at that magnification level too. A squirrels head is exactly one mildot space thick at 30 yds. when on 6x. Makes ranging my targets a breeze. An added plus is that I can't see my heart beat and all my other little tremors so it gives me a bit more confidence right before the trigger releases.
  10. The chicken was definitely a butt shot, but that Ram.....Right in the ol' penile unit. Poor guy 😩 I'm a little more humane with my ram but the others get it wherever they get it. 😊
  11. No 10 in the crappie tournaments I was in. The top and bottom white beads are stationary and aren't part of the deal.
  12. 😂😂😂 Why ya gotta shoot everything either in the butt or the Weiner ? 😆
  13. Yeah, because if I could have proved where a deputy/investigators car was sitting at 3:45 am on a certain date I could have saved myself $16,000.00 in lawyer fees.
  14. Yet they can freely zoom in a sattelite pic from any time frame with enough clarity to read the expiration date on a license plate. Makes perfect sense 🙄
  15. Crappie guys around here all use these bead slider things to keep track of how many are in the livewell.
  16. One of my neighbors is into drones and he was down at our local baseball field, nobody else around, test flying a drone that he had just did some work to. A deputy came driving in and got right nasty with him about it. People fly kites there, throw frisbees, run RC cars and all kinds of stuff, so I don't get why drones are causing such a freak-out. What's the (real/actual/potential) problem?
  17. I keep my boat in my garage so stains from spilled drinks, fish blood, and Dip-N-Dye build up after awhile. Letting it sit out in the hot Summer sun for a week or so, and at least one good thunderstorm, totally removes all the stains and leaves the carpet nice and fresh.
  18. Do you clicker guys count every little dink that gets swung over the gunnels? I have this weird way of determining if my outing was was a galactic failure. If I don't catch enough to potentially feed my family one good meal then I consider it a Skunk. That has happened 2 times so far this year.
  19. It's likely that you are just happening upon schools that are on the move. The next time that happens head immediately to the nearest shallow flat or long tapering point, and just wait for them to pile in.
  20. What is the outboard that you are having trouble with ?
  21. Better or luckier, Yes.
  22. If it has a Merc, and it runs.... go ahead and run it until it threatens to cost you more than it's worth, then part it out. Not all Mercs are turds, they certainly had some good ones that are still sought after and you can still get most of the parts you'll likely need.
  23. Last time I was out they weren't where they were supposed to be. I got so insulted that I haven't been back out since. I'll try again after things have had time to change. I refuse to take another butt kickin' like I did that day.
  24. Lured you into the dark side, didn't I ? 🤣
  25. It takes a certain mix of MATURE trees with lots of clearings to really be a squirrel heaven. I prefer hunting/cleaning/eating Reds, but grays are all we have around my place (short of the city parks). I'd love to revisit some of the woodlots I hunted up north when I was younger. Huge mature trees just the right distance apart, and Red's galore. All the woodlots in THIS part of the country are young trees (pole timber) smothered in scrub brush. Just not the same. 😏
