  1. The harsh thing that nobody wants to say outloud is that you're probably not gonna get a second term out of Bernie. He won't be able to accomplish anything meaningful in 4, so electing him is basically just pissing 4 years away.
  2. When my skin becomes too sensitive or the water too polluted, and nobody cares enough to clean it up, then it is time for me to cash in my chips.
  3. You apparently haven't been around pro fishermen much. I replace alot of punted depthfinders and trolling motor mounts and pedals that have been stomped into tiny pieces. You don't get to the true Pro status without having a few meltdowns. As for foul hooking.....A caught fish is a caught fish.
  4. The objective is to get out of jury duty before ever entering the courtroom. Just write "I am suffering from tourettes" on the summons and send it back.
  5. I think y'all assume too much seriousness sometimes. That's why you get butthurt so easily. If I had to be bound and defined by everything I posted on here I'd delete my shortcut to this place immediately. I'm perfectly capable of being "proper and PC", but I don't choose to hang out in places where that type of behavior is mandatory. That kinda crap is for Courtrooms and first dates, not tackle shops and fishing forums.
  6. Being mostly a shallow water guy I do more rock piles and stake beds. Everyone wants to sink brush 10-25', and I prefer stuff in 2-7'.
  7. I never bothered with getting the needles off. They stay intact for a long time too, so I think it's best to leave them as is. The old saw about how fresh green trees won't hold fish is a crock of bull. I know for a fact that a bundle of Green sycamore sprouts (leaves and all) sunk today can have fish on them tomorrow. The only down side is that it takes a LOT of weight to hold down alot of leaves.
  8. Nice. That's just awesome.
  9. You're the Jigkid, so I guess throw A JIG. I'd work over a few mouths of coves, and if nothing happens....head up the Niangua.
  10. #1. There are too many people in it. Fix that and all the other problems go away.
  11. You think if they could talk longer you'd learn anything more? I don't. The longer we listen the stupider we all get. Trust me, just pick the hottie.
  12. Piss on all that! I think we should choose based on how hot the wife is. I haven't seen Bernie's wife.....but I don't think I need to.
  13. I'm more impressed about the school that immaculately conceives !
  14. A black/red flake Zoom lizard on a pegged 5/16 Texas rig was the bait of choice during March on Lake Fork in the late 90's. On our second trip it was the only thing we threw. Tore 'em up pretty good.
  15. I listened to two live streams for awhile last night. I'd say it isn't over quite yet. There appears to be two kinds of people involved. One group of morons who just want to fight about ANYTHING. And another group who seems pretty intelligent and still feels that the feds have acted unconstitutionally from the start. The media appears to be dead set on only reporting the actions/words of the crazy idiots. Somewhere at the bottom of this is probably just cause, but a bunch of radical knuckleheads are going to prevent any good coming from any of it.
  16. I think it is a great idea too. I hope that mindset catches on. It is sad that just because tournament competitors worry about someone cheating we are going to relocate bass all the time. Yet cheating can STILL happen. Think about how much better you could concentrate on your fishing if you didn't have livestock to care for all day. Culling would be fast and easy. More storage and less weight in the boat. So many benefits to operating that way. Seriously guys, this needs to change.
  17. 20+ miles away on the opposite side of a big lake ? I just really doubt that. Even if they do concentrate on getting back "home" that equals up to alot of fish wandering around trying to find their way, and NOT behaving in any kind of a normal/predictable manner. I just don't see the purpose of it anymore. This is 2016 for Christ sake, we either need to find a better way to score tournaments, or stop allowing 200+ of them every year on every lake.
  18. I hope I live to see the day when bass are no longer being relocated constantly. Bass are for the most part "home base" creatures, and I'd love to be able to fish a lake where their natural habits aren't constantly being jacked with. Maybe the reason fish seem so unpredictable and flakey is because we keep screwing up their life. It would suck to be snatched from your home town and dumped into a different one every few weeks/months. Find a new wife, find a new job, find out where the best grocery store is, ect. Then just when you start to become "at home again".... Boom, taken to yet another new town. Sonofabitch!!!!!
  19. Not surprised. Typical Ford story.
  20. Is Color blindness a defense ?
  21. Now you've got me trying to figure out who trythisonemv's dad is. Surely I know of him.
  22. Fraud is a strong word. I doubt that the name "Missouri craw" is registered to a certain shade of color. "Buyer beware" is a recommendation, not case law.
  23. Oh good grief Do you really need yet another series of crankbaits to put better hooks on? Is the market not already flooded with too many lures that do the same thing? Well this one SOUNDS DIFFERENT. No wait.....it WANDERS MORE. And oh hell...the tail does ZERO'S (that's a fresh one). So now we have to have crankbaits that Wiggle softly, crankbaits that Wiggle harder, crankbaits that Wiggle REAL hard, flat sided crankbaits, crankbaits that wander and crankbaits that don't. And bygod if you don't have crankbaits whose tails do ZERO'S.... in a variety of colors....and change out the hooks on them.... then fuggit....you might as well stay home unless you have at least 2 of each. This whole crankbait thing has officially gone too far. Or is it just me? Will any of us really live long enough to figure out when we need to throw a hard wiggler, softer wiggler, or the one whose tail does zero's? I know I won't. Fritts made his way into your brain by throwing a Poes 400 over brushpiles he planted during one particular season many years ago, but forget about all that.
