Earlier my 5y/o slung water all over the floor and dumped out a 1/2 bottle of cream rinse just for kicks.
She is currently balling and stomping around because it's bedtime, and has lied about brushing her teeth.
If one of you gives her a Mountain dew (or a $5 bill) I'll kick you square in the nads.
I can tell already that you have something that a lot of guys don't. You have the ability to be honest with yourself.
Just pay the dues, You'll do fine.
I dunno. I'd prefer they didn't go to diddling with our LM bass and crappie DNA, they might screw it up.
I would love to see a better hybrid/striper stocking program here on LO though.
MDC can't do anything in the thousands.....it has to be Millions with them.
If you ran long enough to add 20% to the charge you'll probably spend more in fuel than a fresh battery would cost. Charging a battery for 10 minutes ain't gonna save the day IMO.
And if you've been using the same cranking batt for 4+ years then you are on borrowed time.
I've preached it on here multiple times....Almost every single regulator fire I've seen was caused by either hooking up a battery backwards OR by guys trying to get ONE MORE SEASON out of a tired battery.
A regulator fire amounts to between 700-2000 bucks. So fresh battery's are cheap insurance.
No sir, I don't throw A-rigs or Ned rigs (not that I wouldn't).
I have been snagging twice in the past, caught one pushing 60# and several that were too short. None of them attempted to fight at all, it was like pulling in a big piece of drift wood.
I have also cleaned/cooked/eaten them, and find them no better than catfish.
Also caught a pretty big one on the fly rod once....so they CAN be caught other ways IF YOU JUST TRY. That one didn't fight much either yet still acted like it was gonna die after I released it. So they just aren't my thing.
By all means have fun with it if you want. I'm glad some enjoy them since they cost so friggin much to maintain.
Sitting up a little higher is a really good thing.
Not as easy to paddle upstream in a canoe but still doable.
I have been solo'ing from a OT Guide 147 for going on 9 years and I can't think of a single place I've wanted to get to that I couldn't..... or could have IF I was in a yak.
I know nothing about Stealth chargers, I just know a lot about outboard charging systems.
If you truly need the outboard to assist charging your TM batteries throughout the day....then IMO you need better batteries, not a better charger.
Trolling motors these days are very efficient consumers of battery life and your batteries should not be going dead even on a long day in the wind.
Besides, does anyone realize how long/far you would have to run in order to make a noticeable difference in battery charge rate?
I have heard that it can be an issue with insurance but don't know that for sure.
You could probably just peel the 175 stickers off and call it a 150, the insurance co. isn't hip enough to ever catch it via the Model # I bet, and the DMV doesn't care.
I wouldn't try that with one rated for a 115 and a 150, but the actual difference between a 150/175 is petty.
Matt, they are right up on the banks in certain spots.
I can't explain what a "certain spot" is though, you just gotta go try awhile and you'll figure it out.
1/16 road runner with a 2" curly tail grub will do the trick. Or the same bait on a plain 1/16 jig head and 6# line.
