    The motor is a 1984 model, boat is about the same. Kept on a hoist under a dock, and is in really good shape. The crackhead kid ran it without oil while Dad's health was failing, and toasted the powerhead. I'll end up owning it eventually, but I'll probably have to claim it as "abandoned" to get titles. They owe me some money but have stopped returning my calls. 🙄 It has been here since last April.

    And what do you do when lightning starts striking around you ? Do you just stand there, enjoy the sight of it......and hope that it breeds more ? NO ! You immediately seek shelter and hope like hell that the storm passes quickly! I mean WHAT ARE THE ODDS ????!!!!! Get your candyass out there and wave a 7' fishing rod around! Talk about being amazed that something still has to be explained in 2024 !!! 🙄

    Yep. No, an Evinrude 115 V4 with a locked-up powerhead. The owner passed away and the son is a crackhead 🙄 He's supposedly "looking for the titles".

    They are solid motors 👍 Plenty of them still out there stirring water. Freshen up that fuel pump diaphragm, and freshen up everything else made of rubber.....and she'll likely last yet another 40-50 years.

    The thing I really like about Bob Marriott's is that if there's any doubts, questions, or if they happen to be out of stock of something they personally call you immediately.....and they really know their stuff well. F-C would just ship whatever they had in stock, and you wouldn't know that the order wasn't filled completely until whatever they ship gets delivered. That kinda stuff doesn't fly with me.

    I still get F-C catalogs but haven't ordered from them in many years. For some reason anything I order from them takes FOREVER (a week or more) to get here. I can order from Marriott's in California and it will be delivered in a couple days.

    Sure. Last year I know of a couple groups of them that got to go to Disney for free. It cost me 1400.00 for just one kid......but the free-lunch children of single moms got to tag along free of charge. 🤷‍♂️

    If she would get off that pill then she could have the same career that most of the women around here are working. The goal is to have so many kids that getting up and going to work every morning is unfeasible. As long as she stays off drugs then society will not allow a female with 4-6 children to be homeless without food, cell phones, reliable transportation, & electricity.

    What's your price breaking point? I've got a Lund V here that is a really sweet little boat, but it needs a powerhead, and I haven't received the titles yet.

    Just so she (and You) knows.... There's no "registry" for dropouts. And employers wouldn't bother to verify that a person finished high school.....even if there was. Even people who have won elections & served as POTUS have lied on applications. 😉

    Technically what those folks have done for years is illegal, but you'd have to hire a lawyer far removed from Laclede county MO. to fight it. They pay a lot of taxes, and are quite accustomed to having their @$$es kissed. They could have a body count to match the Clinton's for all we know.

    No, but I saved a girl from drowning when I was 19. And although she was wasted on Jack Daniels & Quaaludes it was VERY obvious that she wasn't enjoying herself one bit.

    I almost drown at one point until I completely blacked out. Before that it was calm I could see bubbles going up So you are claiming that from the moment your lungs started taking on water, until you went unconscious...... everything was "calm and peaceful"? How freakin' DRUNK were you ? Because it sounds like you were on the verge of unconsciousness before you ever even got wet.

    I beg to differ. Drowning would suck ! That last 8-12 minutes of misery and pain would cancel out every minute of pleasure you've enjoyed throughout your entire life.

    I have picked up a piece of scrap line from the deck, tied a bait to it, and done the same thing. One was a HIGH DOLLAR slow sinking jerkbait that I could have retrieved......had I not tossed it 20 feet away like an idiot. I actually didn't realize what I had done until I stood up, grabbed the rod and prepared to make a cast. 🥴

    That was my immediate thought. There is only 2 places on the Niangua between Bennett and Barclay where a 5'6" person can't stand with their head out of water.

    That red spring and small white plunger goes UNDER that diaphragm. And the paper gaskets always go next to METAL. 👍

    He's a She now ! Those are a PIA to replace.

    They don't become she/her until bolt threads and screw heads start stripping out, linkage pieces refuse to be aligned properly, your hands & fingers look like they've been through a meat grinder, and you suddenly realize that you've spent 3x more time & money on it than you initially planned to. So yeah, most turn out to be SHE's.......but that's ok, it builds character. 👍
