Speaking of rape.....Here's some wildlife activity going on that I highly approve of.....so they definitely get a pass 😊👍
-
Who can argue with that ? 😅

It may be wrong, but the way I was raised.....a problematic critter on MY PROPERTY is fair game. Poisonous snakes, feral cats, and birds that gorge on mulberries & then poop all over my porch and vehicles get no pass.

I popped a starling the other day, and when I went out to pitch it across the road I could see thousands of tiny parasites crawling around under its belly skin. They are infected with something. It was gross !

One of the organizations is implementing a rule beginning in 2026 where the anglers are not allowed to use FFS until the 5th keeper is in the livewell. After that it can be used to cull. Sounds like the best rule change so far, but I know exactly how it will be played on THIS lake...... They'll run wave-breaks for 5 quick little Kentucky's, then go spotlighting. 🙄

Interesting study on smallmouth bass removal
fishinwrench replied to Quillback's topic in Conservation Issues
True. Most of it is nothing more than a waste of time and has no detrimental effects. But some of it surely does. CWD in deer is a prime example.....Just look at all the crap that has caused, and there's no reversing it. It started in high-fence operations w/selective assisted breeding, then got out of control....and now we're stuck with it. -

Nice man ! 👍 How deep were they? Morning, Evening, or mid-day ? -

They aren't making errors/causing problems on purpose! It's like tripping over the hose at a carwash and breaking a bone. All you were TRYING TO DO was CLEAN THE CAR ! And now you can't even wipe your butt without help. -

I just don't know about that. I've personally known 4 of them, and one is still a very close friend.....even though I rip on him regularly 😅 and oddly enough he almost always agrees, or at least can't dispute my position. I get to hear about projects that will never make the "news", but out of respect and confidentiality I can't just go blabbing about it. I gotta give them credit for their enthusiasm once they get settled into a decent position. They seem to be anxious to make a name for themselves, or do something they feel like they can "hang their hat on". Funding be darn, if they feel like they are doing something remarkable they'll figure out a way to DO IT. No politicians or profit margin required. Having connections through Colleges is how it's done.....and they all seem to have those connections. There's very little oversight or concerns about funding if a college class is involved. The world is full of Anthony Fauchi's on every level. -

Man that's terrible 😔. I can't even imagine. -

I doubt that "we all know" about even a tiny percentage of it. Not denying the occasional good that comes from it......but more forethought, safeguards and control are needed ! Badly ! -

Curious about Power Pole Move.
fishinwrench replied to rps's topic in Tips & Tricks, Boat Help and Product Review
Well they FINALLY got the weight down👍 Way better than those ridiculously heavy other options that are causing the bows of boats to suffer. The props seem to be breaking a bit too easily. Best carry 2 spares......and not just ONE. -

From my perspective they are the first & MOST LIKELY to screw things up. Biologists and their "experiments" have likely caused more problems than they have solutions, over the last 100 years. -
PSA Killer Bees in South Texas
fishinwrench replied to netboy's topic in New News and General Discussion
Curious. What is it about "Killer bees" that make their attacks potentially deadly? I got attacked by what I assumed were yellow jackets a couple years ago , and suffered 11 stings all at once on my neck, back, and arms. That SUCKED ! and had me a bit worried for a bit, but other than the pain I never suffered any noticable reactions to it. I knew a guy that worked for the phone co. that opened a pedestal and got pummeled by bees.....it didn't kill him but it ended his career, and he went on disability afterwards. -
Noco genius onboard charger
fishinwrench replied to fishinwrench's topic in Tips & Tricks, Boat Help and Product Review
Most all automatic chargers cycle to 15v repeatedly.....which works fine, but generates a lot of heat inside the charger itself. This one monitors the battery voltage and coaxes it up more gradually, 0.3v at a time, and could likely lessen the boiling, and obviously reduces the heat. It might take a little longer but I think it is way safer. And probably a better way to maintain a battery. The "12v Repair" function just feeds it 12.6v for 4 hours, then goes through a normal charge function......and Hey, it WORKS ! 👍 -
If you've followed any of my past rants/opinions you might remember that I have never been a fan of ANY onboard battery chargers.......Well here's one that I'm becoming a fan of. Does exactly what it's supposed to, doesn't get hot, and has lasted 4 years so far. 👍 Has even saved a 1 year old cranking battery that had discharged completely because an accessory was left on & I was ready to replace.

I guess this sweetheart is ready for a new home. 6000.00 She could use fresh carpet.....Had that all traded for & lined up, but the guy let his wife talk him into getting a COVID shot and he fell over dead 3 days later 😥 Everything else is top notch 👍. She's caught a lot of fish ! They don't build them like THIS anymore.

There's been a tit or two shaken out in that bad boy also. 👍
-
It really is. It's a Table Rock/Bull Shoals boat, so it isn't beat to hell like these Lake O rigs are. How it rides depends on how you drive it. You can either cruise and sip coffee.....or shake your wife's tits out of her shirt. 😅
-
Structurally sound & no major issues.....but the more I polish, nitpick and tinker with it the more the selling price is gonna go up 😊 If interested in a really fine, and truly easy project rig..... Come check it out, or gimme a shout 👍 6000.00 today Or I'll sell you my old Ranger 350V for about the same price and keep this one. 🤷♂️

It was SUPPOSED to be an upgrade, partially to support the winter pond stocking city boy program...... "because THEY pay taxes too".....but that didn't work out, so here we are !
-
If you account for the first failed hatchery upgrade....... definitely yes.
