Taneyfest January 26,27,28

What I think about it depends on whether or not it is 15° with a 20mph North wind. 😅 Is there a cozy restaurant nearby with warm big-titted waitresses?.......Just for a backup plan. -
All sex toys end up in a dumpster somewhere. They are the first thing to go when a break-up occurs. People will screw each other's partners, sleep in the same bed, and eat with the same silverware, but I'll be darn if they'll use the same toys that were used in the previous relationship. I guess the emotional attachment is just too personal. 😅 I mean, they all have their own cute little names. 🥰 And being a mechanic I've had to overhaul my fair share of them. Much of what I know about keeping your outboards & trolling motors running was learned from rebuilding vibrators. 😂 You're officially CERTIFIED when you can overhaul one while sitting naked on the side of the bed IN THE DARK with nothing but a bobby-pin and a wet wipe. 🏆

Not Me! I was referring to @Al Agnew I had Marlboros and carb cleaner keeping me sterile. Didn't work though, I still got it, and for about 4 days I was concerned that I might be circling the drain.

Several years ago there were 4 in the woods back behind here. The neighborhood hounds had it out with them one day, and one of the dogs got tore up pretty good. Then 2 got hit on the road....same place/same time, and a neighbor collected them and cooked them up. I didn't partake but it did smell pretty good. Haven't seen any since.

You're talking to the guy that used gloves and a pair of channel-lock pliers to get the mail out of his box during COVID. If you think he sniffed that thing, you're crazy! 😂
-
I was a little worried that it might be mine UNTIL he said "condoms"......Then I knew it didn't come from ME. 😉

By that, I'm assuming no Shannon Twin Spins, or Heddon Crazy Crawlers. 🙄 Cool tackle box find nevertheless. 👍 Have fun with it ! 😅 Don't eat that nastyass Twinkie Though. 🥴

Cap'n Crunch effects me that way. Doesn't stop me from gobbling up a bushel basket of it though. 😋

Probably the biggest problem I have is that dyed materials (feathers & hair) loose their color and turn dull and ugly after being fished awhile. If it weren't for that, a fly could last several outings. Trout flys tied with naturally colored material tend to last far longer than brilliant colored bass & panfish flys.

A drop of this stuff on the hook & thread when spinning deer hair, makes a muddler head last forever.

I'd give my left nut for a bowl of Fruity Pebbles 🤗

Fungus gnats 🤔 I bet they are Dog Pecker Gnats. In order to determine the difference between the species you have to spread their legs and measure their foreskin. If they are circumcized then they are Fruit Flys.

Livescoping suspended fish, would be my guess.

"Processed foods like cereal may contain trisodium phosphate, a food additive. Consuming small amounts of trisodium phosphate is most likely safe. But excessive consumption can lead to unhealthy levels of phosphorous." "Most likely"? Silly Rabbit, Trix are for kids !

All in a days work 👍 The topic of the day here at Sims Marine had nothing at all to do with boats. Everyone from the mailman, UPS driver, as well as all customers, the road crew, and the guys at O'Reilly Auto parts...... We've all concluded that Wonder bread (and their hamburger/hotdog buns) smells like fingernail polish remover. It's unanimous, and none of us will ever eat it again. If you have any in the cupboard, go ahead and take a whiff 🤔 Is it because of something in the bread....or is it because we've all had COVID so things don't smell the same?🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔

It's all very crafty and fun......but in my experience none of the flys that require UV resin are among my productive arsenal. 🤷♂️

Ewe, she has RBF (resting B face). The honeymoon might be over. 🤔

I need a "my place" in that area. What's the going rate? -

As is typical in my life, I can't plan/commit to doing anything. Doing so just ensures that something will come up to destroy my plan. I'm definitely due for a Taney trip though. I'll gladly front up my portion of the dough however, in the name of good intentions.....And if something should prevent me from attending y'all can just raise a glass & party on my behalf. -

Possibly 👍 Sounds like a good time. -
Within 3-5 years there will be a lot of used rigs for sale at very reasonable prices.....but there will be a catch. Those Mercs over 200hp will have performance issues that nobody can rectify. What dealers, and some individuals, will be doing is replacing the props with ones with a lesser pitch in order to band-aid the hole shot and get the top end RPM's back up. Which makes everything seem fine..... temporarily.

There is an old movie that I have tried and tried to find for many years, and never have been able to figure out what it was called, but I saw it when I was a kid on broadcast black&white, way before anyone in my area had cable TV. It was a young Andy Griffith, and I think it was the dude that later played Uncle Jesse on Dukes of Hazzard (whatever his name is) Or it was a young Jed Clampett from Beverly Hillbilly's. They were Flyfishing in hip boots, hats all covered in flys, and catching White bass on what looked like an Ozark stream. Both of them casting better than I had ever seen anyone cast at the time. And there was a scene where they were sitting in a cabin tying flys. If anyone can tell me the name of that movie I'll gladly send you a dozen of my best flys. I'd love to see it again.

You ever found one to be infected? I kinda think that was something from back in the depression days. Kinda like rabies. I haven't heard of any animal with rabies, or even suspected of having it, since I was a small child. A little girl was on her way home from school and carrying a cupcake. As she was passing our house our liver&white bird dog went out to greet her.....so she held her cupcake up as high as she could, which just happened to be within perfect reach. The dog swiped her cupcake and the brat totally flipped out, started screaming, ran home and told her momma that our dog attacked her. Her parents showed up with 4 police officers demanding that we have the dog tested for rabies 🙄 Not a single mark whatsoever on the kid, mind you. So dad calls the vet and 2 of the cops go with him to have Lindy checked out. The vet takes a bucket of water out to the truck, and Lindy immediately gets a drink. The vet looks at the cops and says "She's fine, LEAVE HER ALONE and buy her a donut when you go get yourself one". 😂
