The MDC disgusts me. They should be in our (anglers/outdoorsmen) corner when it comes to stream/river access. But instead they pander to tax paying landowners and corporations in far too many situations. The tired old saw about how fortunate we are to have MDC because some states hunting/fishing opportunities suck in comparison, is just lame. They could do SO MUCH better with zero effort at all. Stroke of a pen. They don't even realize how special Smallmouth bass and clean streams are to this region, they'd rather piss away time, money, and efforts on rediculous crap like Urban trout, Hybrid stripers, Spoonbill, and chasing ghost prions that they can't even do anything with when they find them,...ad infinitum. It's so frustrating that I can't even shut-up about it....even though I'm sick of hearing myself rattle on about it. 🙄 Their mission was never to "Teach and Promote", it was to Protect and preserve.

Well if they obviously ignored the mail-in survey, I can only imagine how quickly they'll swipe away the email variety. I'd rather get on here and pick a fight with @Quillback

Kyler Beckmann is a friend and a HAMMER. He does trips out of several marinas, but it's likely that he is booked pretty solid.

Posting in the Truman lake forum may have been a mistake, but it was a good one. It's the crappie capital of the state, hands down. If you don't have a few weeks to spend figuring things out just hire one of the local guides. You'll get your crappie fix taken care of in short order. I promise.

I took a 17' Tracker Pro in on trade, and that sucker had a terrible leak all along the center rib. I pulled the floor, cleaned and dried everything, and did a 8" wide strip of Flex-Seal inside and out. That boat remained leak free for at least 6 years that I know of. And that was while taking a Lake Ozark pounding every weekend for 7-8 months out of each year. It actually is good stuff.

Dude that pic wasn't taken during carp spawning time. The trees are full of leaves and have dropped their buds long ago, and the grass has already grown high and turned brown from summer heat. GTFOH ! Carp spawn about the same time the White bass do, typically dogwoods and redbuds still in bloom and other trees budding but not anywhere near full of leaves. Do you even know WTF you are talking about? No..... you don't.

Yeah, people always like to talk about how delicious carp are......but when you ask them when was the last time they cleaned a mess of them, it always takes them awhile to remember. And odds are that their next carp trip isn't penciled in anywhere on their calendar either. 😅

If those fish are valuable then BUY THEM. I'm sure the BFers would sell them for a reasonable price while they are still fresh. That would be better than continuously finding piles of dead & rotting carp and gar. The bottom line IMO is that if it is possible on any given body of water, to go out in one night and kill 1000 of them with a goddam bow & arrow.....then they need to be thinned out anyway. I mean, don't ya think? 🤷‍♂️. By continuing to claim all these inflated/exaggerated kill rates.....you are effectively pissing on your own argument.

When was YOUR last time? They even coated part of the seat frames and thwarts with it. I definitely wouldn't wanna eat a hotdog cooked over the bonfire I tossed it on. 😅

The inside of the floor looks coated with Flex-Seal to me. About 50lbs. worth of it.

One of the things I enjoy most about White bass is that they love relatively shallow flat areas, just like I do. 😊 Probably the biggest misconception about Whites is that they love WINDY areas. I've been targeting Whites on the fly for a long time, and I can promise you that Whites don't care whether the wind is blowing or not. All the wind does is makes it harder on the angler, it does not "position the baitfish"..... That's one of the biggest, most often repeated, lines of BS in the vocabulary of fishermen. "It moves the plankton, and baitfish follow the plankton"🙄. Oh BULL$#!T !
