Hard water here too. I like it, and refuse to do anything to remove the minerals. Water heater elements are only good for 9-11 months. The dude at the hardware store sold me on some high-dollar elements once. He said... "This will be the last time you'll have to replace elements". They shot craps 2 months earlier than the cheap ones do. 😂 So when I went in to get replacements I (jokingly) told him to stay back in the weed-eater/leaf-blower department because he had never led me wrong THERE. 😅

Everyone ignored it around here. Turned out to be a good call, inspite of the bashing taken from the big city news outlets.. Banner year for everyone. What have we learned? 🤔

I wouldn't advise insisting on it. You can request it if you want, but if you plan to sit on the money until after you "test drive it", then you're probably not going to be buying a boat anytime soon. You're way better off knowing what you want, and knowing what to look for.....And then use the fact that you're NOT "test driving" it, as a bargaining point. Firing it up on a hose, and doing some flip-switch tests, is reasonable. (Lights, Bilge, Livewell, electronics, Trolling motor).

Sugarbritches said she got zapped off the clothes dryer, which is understandable, but she hasn't been nearly as electrically charged as I have been today. I've seen days where certain things are loaded with static electricity, but this is off the charts.

There's always cars in the parking lot, and the shelves are always full (albeit rather messy). I think they do ok. They should, as it's the ONLY PLACE near the park to get anything.

Right where Gravois creek dumps into Lake O there's a nest the size of my living room. Not a single bird in it last spring, and nobody home this last Fall. It will be interesting to see if it is occupied this Spring. Before last Spring there were always at least 2, and often 4+ hanging around it. The nest has been there for 12-15 years.
