  1. Nah, I'd only be afraid of it if I owned one and was selling it to somebody I liked.
  2. I was too until it happened a few times. It wasn't nearly as bad as I expected. Odds are, when it happens, the worst spot is behind you so there's nothing too deadly to land on. 😅
  3. Don't know about that, but I have to be putting enough pressure on the pedals to keep my weight lifted forward on my arms instead of back on my butt. Granny gear just makes me wanna sit down. I don't understand how guys use clip-in pedals. Seems those up Stokes would force your butt down. I just use the seat to stabilize myself, I'm not sitting on it. All of my weight is on my feet and arms.
  4. If you're bike is set up good for you your butt shouldn't start hurting. The biggest help for me on hills is to get setup before the real pumping starts. Take as many deeeep breaths as you can and load your blood up with oxygen, select your gear so you aren't shifting in the middle of it. Set a reasonable pace, relax, and keep your eyes on the crest. Do all of that before you ever begin the climb. All bikes are different (so they say) but 2/2 or 2/3 is my gear for long basturd hills on every mountain bike I have ever spent any time on. Around here the steeper the hill....the shorter it is. So in 2/2 it averages out pretty good for me. If I start gassing out I'll stand on the pedals and that takes the load off my legs for a bit.
  5. My Trek Marlin is a beast 29er. Just point this bad boy between two trees and go ! I've been over the bars enough times that I'm not scared of it anymore.
  6. Sugarbritches has a thick booty, so she wanted one of those cruisers like the witch on Wizard of Oz has.....so about 4 years ago I bought her one. It has never even left the driveway 🙄
  7. Yes. Monkeys are like aliens, they have no business here. I'd honestly like to shoot every monkey in the United States in the head with a 12ga slug. They need to leave those cocksucker's across the pond where they belong. I won't even allow my kid to have a stuffed one.
  8. @snagged in outlet 3 has the most rediculous fear..... Squirrels 😅 Who the hell can be afraid of a cute little bushy tailed tree rat?
  9. I'm not afraid of that....just don't see any reason for it. 😉
  10. Spiders bigger than a pea. Monkeys. Heights. Flying in planes. Whitewater rivers. The Missouri River. I/O and inboard boats. Potatoe salad at picnics. Young cops. Cougars and bears make me pretty nervous too. Other than that I am fearless. 😊
  11. He might be working with my kid. Is he with Designer Group?
  12. If she made you roll over I'd take that as an invitation to kick her out and holler for the dogs.....or to go crawl in bed with sis. 😊
  13. I guess I should start doing that to the ones that straighten up after tapping them a couple times with a screwdriver handle.
  14. Did you knock the bottom out of it? I woulda 😉
  15. Took a tiny little trail off a lake road a couple years ago. It led to this. The closest 2 lane trail was just shy of 2 miles away. It's amazing what you can find completely buried in the forests around here.
  16. According to Strava, my average is 3.4 😅 It would likely be the same if I was walking. Proof that my rides are uphill both ways. I never get off the second chain ring.
  17. Do they sit in trees and shoot goats in China ?
  18. Our melons and squash are rotting on the vine. Zucchini is doing great. Cucumbers....we got 2 good ones, and the others didn't make it. Tomatoes are all splitting open way before they are ready to pick. The wife's cilantro, dill, and various spices are all still doing great. Strawberries yeilded one good bucketful.....then nothing. Basically spent close to a grand on gardening crap this year, and could have matched the outcome for 25.00 at the local market. 🙄
  19. I've said that before too. But I've seen it not add up way too many times. Take 3 kids all raised in the same house, same rules, same incentives, and eating out of the same box of Cocoa Puffs..... You'll have one real go-getter, one lazy bum, and one that's somewhere in between. But Wait....check on them again in 20 years. People evolve.
  20. Don't boat prices just make you wanna hurl? When I look at that rig I see 7800.00 max.
  21. These don't say what they are. I have a couple more (same ones) in the boat, but it's all buttoned up and I'm not in the mood to uncover it.
  22. I'm gonna say Not Many 😊 Original paint doesn't have a scratch. To hear the horn you'd think it was a 48' cruiser. 😎
  23. I was thinking they are 78's....but I'll dig them out and see tomorrow (if I can manage to not space it off). Either way you are welcome to them. IMO a rod light enough to throw them is too light to work them right.....so I'll never use them.
  24. Yes it does. For some reason I was under the impression that the rattles were just layers of dry skin, and that after a good rinse they could be preserved. Obviously it takes more than a rinse. 😅
