  1. People weren't supposed to travel the globe. If everyone had just stayed in the area where they were born then we would all be better off. Both sides of my lineage are originally from Scotland but migrated to middle America. Maybe most of ya are just a bunch of mutts. 😂
  2. Sounds like you are on the wrong area of the planet. Maybe you should relocate to the far North. Put a little more distance between yourself and that deadly ball of fire. You were probably supposed to be a Martian. 😄 I should probably be further South, or on Venus, since I'm more likely to freeze to death than I am to burn up.
  3. Well, it depends on how your boat is loaded on that particular day. Once you run flat out and adjust trim angle for the best ride you should leave it at that setting for the rest of the day and avoid touching the trim switch unless you move a heavy cooler around or do something else to alter your load placement. Where you can hurt yourself is by trying to get transom lift for running extremely shallow....which pushes the bow down. Operating at a trim angle like that can cause you to "loose your posterior", literally.
  4. I can't for the life of me understand you guys that do all kinds of stuff outdoors....but wear gloves and face masks when you fish. Does the sun know you are fishing and take offense to it, bearing down harder on you when fishing than it does when working, washing the car, mowing grass and raking leaves ? One of the local boys works for the road district and is outside all day in all sorts of weather.....but when he goes FISHING he covers up like a bank robber. What in the Sam Hell ? 🤔
  5. You need to test the voltage from the battery through the trim motor circuit. If you don't have a workable understanding of how it all works then your best bet is to either study and learn....or take it to someone who does. As for the idling issue, probably just needs a minor idle mixture adjustment.
  6. You're a good dude too 🙂 There's nothing like a new friend. It's like a challenge to see how soon I can make him call me a Cocksucker. 🤣
  7. The best dock shooter I know uses a spincast reel. They will slingshot cast a crappie jig like a dream. There are a few truly good ones out there. https://www.fishusa.com/product/Pflueger-President-Spincast-Reel?utm_source=google_ps&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=google_ps&gclid=CjwKCAjw_MnmBRAoEiwAPRRWW3eZhPJPrN-Hpf46kihflPsrdP2qFo_Nqp7H_l4J1xipgve9QudNiBoCZ9cQAvD_BwE https://www.cabelas.com/product/PURE-FISHING-REEL-ABUMATIC-SPN/2997632.uts?productVariantId=6135260&WT.tsrc=PPC&WT.mc_id=GoogleProductAds&WT.z_mc_id1=02245669&rid=20&gclsrc=aw.ds&ds_rl=1246492&ds_rl=1246531&ds_rl=1247882&gclid=CjwKCAjw_MnmBRAoEiwAPRRWW74KkZPLJwPraKvOGwUgWc5P9QRsu9AvwEKB8JJ7rkHx-MmixPX6ihoCbtYQAvD_BwE I'm thinking that braid would be a no-no mostly because it would dig in to itself...but it's worth a try I guess, if you like braid. I don't.
  8. Well.....this man, real or otherwise, likes to get laid occasionally. And with the women I've always been interested in looks are a big part of that. You can stink, and sound like a pompous jackass if you want, but bygod you'd better have trimmed fingernails, clean shoes, and be clothed properly.... or you're going to end up at a party with Sally Palm and her 5 lonely sisters. 😊
  9. I do when wet-wading or swimming. But I found some that are a compromise, on my semi-short legs, between short shorts and those ignorant looking Bermuda type shorts that all the stylish people wear That's what I wear for everyday stuff.
  10. Yeah it's probably just the gay guys that can get away with it.
  11. There really isn't much to tell, as far as the fishing goes. The tournament location got moved to Shawnee Bend the evening before, and I think I could have done better up the Niangua. We caught about 20lbs. worth of 14 1/2 inchers, never saw a keeper all day. There was a jig/dock pitching bite that produced just often enough to keep us trying, and a C-rig bite that was just good enough to keep us trying. Boat traffic after 10:30 was rediculous in the Shawnee Bend area so that killed the idea of running 20 miles up here to catch 'em in my back yard. Had a great time though, Ketchup is a solid dude and a good fisherman. We were pretty laid back about it. I had fun and actually felt pretty good about keeping my livewell dry and not having to relocate any nice fish. 😊 I'm pretty sure that we will fish together again, or at least gather to shoot some airguns and cook some food. That's what it's all about. 👍
  12. Are you ready to join the airgun club yet? I wish I had pests! Besides deer that is.
  13. I actually videoed a mutt doing it's weird spasm thing so y'all could see what I'm talking about, but then I fumbled my phone and I guess the video didn't save. When I got back home and tried to find it, it wasn't there. One of them is indeed a mutt. I seldom see them in the spring, but catch alot of them in the Fall out on the flats.
  14. See what you missed out on today !
  15. You could have parted it out and got considerably more. Lots of guys out there needing parts for them.
  16. That's why you're gonna outlive all of us. You've been blessed with constant peace and quiet. Deafness is no curse, I envy you.
  17. Good job, man ! 👍
  18. The Mariner 45 isn't worth much. Very few parts still available.
  19. Today it was either someone blowing leaves or someone with a power washer spraying their deck. It truly was annoying, and what made it worse was that the bite was deader than a hammer. It might have been more tolerable if we had been catching more fish.
  20. Just don't bring BANANA's like Ketchup does and I think we'll be ok. 🙄
  21. Head upstream until it isn't a problem.
  22. Come over Sunday or Monday evening and I'll put you on to them. Bring Patfish with ya, he knows the way.
  23. Well on this lake the fish can't jump the humps and get up into the creeks when the lake level is lower than 657.5 And for the last 3-4 years the Dingle Berries at Ameren haven't been allowing the lake to start filling up until later in the season.
