That isn't even offered to us. Or Raemi just told me that so I didn't ask her to have it piped in. Our bill is already near $100/mo. so she needn't worry about THAT.

Speedometers on boats are not accurate, so there's really no discernible line that we could be expected to stay under. The other (really fun) reason why a speed limit isn't enforced, is because they don't have a patrol boat that can catch us. 😃
-
Because TECHNICALLY they don't have control off road. The 30mph night-time speed limit isn't even something they have the jurisdiction to enforce. Give the summons to a lawyer and he'll have it thrown out without even making a phone call. Of course hiring a lawyer to do that costs more than the fine.

We have Direct through ATT, we get the outdoor channel. Not even sure what WFN is. I'm really not a TV type person but I'd sure like to see the Joe Brooks thing.
-
I don't even know how to operate our TV. I had my wife look for it and set it to record but she couldn't find it playing anytime soon. I watched the trailer on YT.

I wanna see that. Thanks.

Well if there was a bona-fide test for mental illness then Kieth Urban and Jason Aldean probably wouldn't be allowed "instruments" around crowds of people. The way psychiatrist's are pushing PTSD drugs it won't be long until anyone returning from military service will be on the "no guns allowed" list. It'll be interesting to see how many guys "just want to serve their country" when they know they'll be watched like a hawk when they get back home. Interesting if you have the time...

They have defeated their purpose by propagandizing this drunk driving thing. Because now when a crime is committed and everyone is drinking.....then there are NO CREDIBLE WITNESSES. A statement or a confession made by someone who was .08% at the time the crime was committed is as worthless and undesirable in court as a silent fart. Lawyers get paid but justice is never served. If you're considered too drunk to drive a car or boat then you're definitely considered too drunk to be a key witness to a crime. If you ever wanna get out of jury duty just tell them that you once got drunk and forgot your name for 12 hours.😄

No, but I don't see a valid reason to separate the two. And more to the point, I don't see a valid reason for the media to make it a point to report EVERY incident in which one of the party's involved tested positive for alcohol consumption. If some knucklehead T-bones or rear-ends a guy, and that guy happens to have beer on his breath then they purposely lead you to believe the whole accident happened because "that basturd was drunk". And furthermore, if by terrible chance a person in the OFFENDING vehicle gets killed.....then that (innocent) dude with beer on his breath is gonna be charged with manslaughter. Oh sure, you can say "well he was .08% and he was in a car on the road, (or boat on the lake) so therefore he is guilty of a crime". Ok, I'll give you that.....but the crime he's guilty of isn't Manslaughter. The object of the game is to be a good driver, and even if he WAS .08% he was being a good driver and didn't cause the accident. He's a victim just as much as a drunk person that gets raped or beaten. Because odds are in THOSE cases the person wouldn't have gotten raped or beaten if they hadn't been drinking and running their mouth with their tits hanging out. Don't ya think? 🤔

Mind control psychology from the dark ages. That's how religion, and the Santa Claus story got started. 😀

I'd like to blow when I've been drinking and see precisely where .08% truly is. They claim that every accident is caused from drunk driving, but honestly I ain't buying it. I've watched people leave a little buzzed but in good enough shape to play Frisbee, badminton, volleyball, ect. (and Win!) And then later hear that they got busted for drunk driving right after they left. They weren't staggering, slurring words, or anything. I'd feel safer riding with them than some legally sober soccer mom on anti-depressants and thyroid medication during a full moon. That Ellingson kid that they killed for drunk boating was in good enough condition to win 4 back to back volleyball games. ------- if you have enough coordination to pull that off then you can freakin' drive just fine. I feel like most of this drunk driving business is media hype. Hell if you crash while totally sober they should throw you in jail and suspend your licence indefinitely, because you obviously have no excuse other than you are too stupid to watch where you're going while at your very best. You simply aren't fit to drive, EVER. For every "drunk driver" that crashes there are thousands that make it home just fine. The odds truly aren't any better for sober drivers. Just because you had a beer or two doesn't mean that is what CAUSED the accident.

If the powers that be were truly concerned about the safety aspect of drinking and driving/boating then they'd outlaw selling liquor by the drink, enforce the open container law, and make consuming alcohol legal only while at home. But apparently there hasn't been enough people killed by folks out running around drinking yet, and the lawyers and courts are making a killing.
-
The piddly fine isn't the point. The MSWP nor the courts don't care about the wake infraction, what they want is probable cause for a stop that THEN leads to a genuine shakedown. The wake makers may not be bothered by a $25 wake fine, but they darn sure don't want the state boys sniffing around everyone onboard, and that's what's gonna happen. "Aww you made a wake. Time for a safety inspection, everyone produce ID, and Hey captain....while they are producing ID and we run them for warrants I need you to blow on this hose". "And by the way, what's that I smell?". Detainment for a wake violation= about 30 minutes unless they find something more interesting, then your days over and everyone gets to go to City Hall in their speedo's and flip-flops. Enforcing the law is a lucrative business, and these guys are professionals.

Yaaawn! Y'all and your crappie fishing. 🙄 About as exciting as picking up toadstools. Tick...swing 'em in, tick....swing 'em in. OMG! 😄 Cool video production though, that started out like an episode of Bill Dance Outdoors.
-
There have been 17 meetings about this, and not a single voice was heard regarding the terminology. Nobody thought to change the name to "Idle Speed Only" cove.
-
Gotta love "Lake Expo". Journalism at it's finest right there! So in a No Wake zone you can either idle slowly.....or keep her Hammered Down. Boy the No Wake cove residents are gonna be pissed about MY choice. 😄

No running lights on Trailer problem?

Welcome to my world. 😄 -
I haven't read all 10 pages of this, but if y'all are fussin' over a jig head, you do know that lead is like modeling clay right? With a pair of flat nosed pliers and a nail clipper you can do just about anything with a jig head.

I've only been on the upper end (above Coconut's) and it has perfect color up here. Spinnerbait/Buzzbait water. 91° but the shallow bite is pretty consistent.

It aint half bad on a Triscuit or a Ritz. Kinda tastes like hummus. My dog loves it.

Same thing happened a couple years ago around the mouth of the Gravois. Drum of all things. You'd think they could live through anything.

No running lights on Trailer problem?

So everything is fine except the marker lights, correct? They typically are just a single wire tapped into the brown (tail light) wire, and they ground via the trailer frame. Since they are all out I'd say your ground connection to the trailer frame is bad (white wire). -
The channel cat at the bottom of the hill here don't seem to care. After they had their fire you couldn't get fresh stuff for a year and a half. I had some that had froze and thawed about 12 times, I had to add some water to it but the kittens still ate it.

Not familiar with the Plaster compound on TR but I think I understand the question. Yes, there's one place that fronts itself as a special place for disabled kids, which it might be for a week or so during the spring, but the rest of the year it is something entirely different. Another place pretends to be a private church camp, but is the furthest thing from that. Then there's the "home for wayward females" off 42hwy on the Glaize that was at one time rumoured to be where twisted politicians did twisted things, and the cops wouldn't even respond to a call there. Had a buddy that delivered ice there and someone would meet him at the top of the hill to take delivery.
