Every day, brother. π

That's ok @Lvn2Fish I got you screenshotted before you deleted it π Does that mean you're not gonna answer ? π’

Woah,π³ Sorry if that little dose of reality made you feel like ?&$- , and demolished your pride. That wasn't my intention, but you're welcome to criticize any of my past lame-brain career paths. Fire Away ! But you'll have to do your own forensic research, cuz I'm not gonna openly brag about them. π Really? Who else have I "quickly shot down"? No really, answer that ! Can you? Wasn't Shooting YOU down either, regardless of how you took it. Just trying to inject some reality into the mindset that might help others who are taking the same path. I know you said that your insurance was paid....but did your policy writer know that you were boating in a competitive level? Did it state that in your policy? Do you have any idea how screwed you would have been if anything ACTUALLY happened? This is something that tournament directors purposely do NOT verify, because if they did then it would cut the number of entrys to 1/3. If you truly are "Lvn2fish" then all of this is something you SHOULD already know. So, anyway, let's hear it....Who have I shot down ? π€

"career" ? 500.00 per month for 9 months....less entry fees, fuel, maintenance, tackle, insurance, and wear& tear. And lodging. Sounds ok when you say it fast, and might impress your sister inlaw......But, you could have mowed the neighbors yard and came out better financially. π Oh wait, you weren't properly insured? Well then, there goes THAT idea. You're a good ways in the hole, and wearing dirty underwear. π«£

That's embarrassing! π

Yeah you can target them in late June by noodling..... But don't brag about it on Facebook! π
-
Are you claiming that you are capable of successfully going "FLATHEAD FISHING" ? I'll take that bet. π Announce what day you'd like to go, buy a newspaper that morning, and post a pic here before dark.
-
Oh I've caught a bunch, but to go catch one ON PURPOSE is something that nobody, short of Hanna Barron, can do.
-
If he is innocent of any funny business then I hope he does too. They could have just denied his entry, and left it at that......but they publicly crapped all over his name FOR SOME REASON. If he was guilty you'd think he'd just let it go.....and pray that they dont press any charges.......But he is pissed. Just like an innocent person would be. Nevertheless, they've started something that will have to be done with every single submission going forward. Now they ALL must be X-rayed.
-
Flathead are good, for sure, but the only way to specifically target them is currently illegal.

The best catfish I've ever had were corn fed.

Those Should dance sexy ! π -
I think it all depends on how hungry you are.

Supposedly a vinegar wash "fixes" the dye, but I did that with the stuff that I dyed and I can't confirm that it helps noticably. π€·ββοΈ

Wapsi and Hareline, yes. You don't get more "major supplier" than that. I've had pieces of meat on skins, and borax powder covered pheasant feathers too.....but I can live with that. Chartreuse that bleeds out to pale yellow, and Olive that turns tan in less than an hour.....that just pisses me off ! I can't believe that everyone that uses their stuff isn't throwing a fit about it. Obviously there are scads of fly tyers that seldom actually FISH. π

True that ! There was a time, 10 years or so ago, that I wouldn't have dared recommend an Everstart, because I had witnessed so much early failure. But I can't say that anymore. From what I see, the Everstart cells are as good as anything else on the market now. When I sold batteries I was an Exide dealer, and I still buy them for myself because I trust them and still get dealer pricing, but I also swap them out every other year so I never have battery issues.
-
I honestly don't know, but I've been noticing it for the last 4-5 years. Yeah RIT (the brand) is still available, but I attempted to dye some rabbit hides and deer tails myself.....and that was a total disaster. Never again! RIT probably isn't the same as it used to be anyway. π The kids did some shirts and flags awhile back and they didn't hold their color well either. I remember doing tie-dye shirts back when I was a kid.....and those colors stayed vibrant forever. Something has definitely changed.
-
To remain politically correct I should check to see if you have purple balls before I answer. π Yeah it's a bad thing. If a chartuese Clouser only remains chartuese for 20 minutes while using it, then it definitely is not as good as stuff dyed that color back before the dye was declared environmentally unfriendly.

βAs fisheries biologists, we get the chance to see a lot of big fish but this one is certainly for the books,β Reinke said of Parkhurstβs record-breaking crappie at the time. βThis crappie measured in at 18 inches long and 14 inches in girth, so it truly deserves a spot on the state record list.β "although KDWP did not provide the name of the second location where the fish was weighed." Why not ? I'll tell ya what it smells like to me....It smells like the agents couldn't dare return the fish to the guy and say "Ok, sorry, you're legit" after all they had done, and the time they had wasted....so they FIXED the situation. After a complete Case.net.com check of the guy, of course π. Judging someone because of an imperfect past is double jeopardy, and isn't supposed to be allowed in our judicial system. If we're gonna do THAT then let's check with the ex-wives of all the agents and verify their upstanding citizenship as well.

My advice is to go with the one who has the most dealers in your area. That ensures that the battery you get might be fresher, and if you ever have a problem you'll have less hassles getting the problem tended to. Many batteries on the dealer shelves right now are actually already a year old..... regardless of what the sticker on them indicates.
-
Not at all. It isn't their fault. They are probably being supplied "non-toxic, lead free, environmentally safe" dye from some leftist douchebag here in America. I hope his purple underwear stains his ball sack !
-
Unless you tie all your flys in natural colors then your boxes preserve COLOR more than anything. It seems that nobody can permanently dye material anymore. 3-4 hours of sun exposure will bleach out anything dyed. Even Krystal Flash and tinsel loses it's shine & brilliance. If a fly lasts long enough for the hook to rust.....then you're way better than I am.....or you're not fishing enough.
