I'm curious about reasons for fishing 3, or 2 for that matter. I never was, or will be, a dropper kinda guy. I'd rather fish ONE FLY properly than multiple flys improperly.....or should I say "less proper". But that's just me. 🤷‍♂️

Well there was never anyone taking credit for the fish in those pits. And it was no easy chore getting back in there to several of them. When the fed or the state are responsible for anything they definitely want to be recognized for it. .

How many computers do you suppose they (we) had to buy..... and how many MONTHS do you suppose they labored while figuring that "budget" out ? I bet it took a team of 16-18 working 9 months of the year.....just to compile those digits. Who knows how many OVERNIGHT MEETINGS at lavish establishments with Continental breakfasts and dinners. Oh my goodness 😊. What a chore! I promise you one thing.....it wasn't done by somebody's wife with her iPhone at the kitchen table during lunch.......like it gets done HERE.

In 73, I was 10 Me too! Gas might have been 39.9 now that I think about it. Used to fill up my 5hp Briggs&Stratton mini-bike AND buy a Coke and a Slim Jim....all for less than a dollar. Man those were the days!!!! 🤗 I didn't get turned loose with the motorboats until I was 12.

I threw a big and loud fit when they proclaimed that. Jack Uxa and a few other lake area guides still hate me because of my voice on that issue. Won't send me business, and roll their eyes whenever my name is mentioned. 🙄 As long as they can still catch bass & crappie then bygod this lake is as "pure as the driven snow"! And anyone claiming otherwise is just a crackpot. In their defense it's true that nothing can or will ever be done to rectify it.....So I suppose it's best to just ignore it and not stir the pot.

Lake O's fish health is surprisingly excellent. But I personally have been noticing the decreasing number of damsel & dragonflies. They have been on the decline since the late 80's. And the number of frogs is worrisome, because they are downright rare now. It isn't hard to recognize a truly HEALTHY body of water. And sometimes you need to be around a healthy lake....and then come home....to realize what's missing. You can spend a week on Lake O during the Spring -Summer without getting a single mosquito bite. While that's lovely.... that's just not right. It's not proper nature, the way I was brought up to recognize it.

I feel ya brother. My first wife & my oldest daughters mom is in the same boat. Her best move is to commit a freakin' crime. Seriously! Credit card fraud or something similar would suffice. She'd honestly be better off in prison. Sadly her mom was a judge, so she knows exactly how to stay out of courtrooms.
