Its still only BPT anglers. No B.A.S.S. guys. ITs Major Leagues fishing's Bass Pro Tour. The old MLF events are when they didnt know where they were going until they got there. Now the team events are kinda taking place of that.
-
Thats the truth, MLF has been tough to keep up with. There were many times last year they would have the BPT on live and the MLF cups on TV at the same time. Doesnt seem like the smartest for ratings

MLF has a team series now and it looks like they were on Stockton https://anglerschannel.com/second-major-league-fishing-general-tire-team-series-event-wraps-production-in-missouri/?fbclid=IwAR352iky4thmsQTaEl0cYLuvPYIdz84moED5GcbliPdIDhh-G56AhaJ6kPM

I spend about 200 days a year traveling and staying in hotels. Most small towns will give me a hospital rate for traveling medical workers. Well the place i have been staying at in Rolla is usually $99 for the last 5 years. Well today since its Homecoming here, the hospital rate is no good and im at $256 a night. Sucks i have to pay more for a homecoming that has nothing to do with me. And just in General Hotel rates have went up 30% in the last year all over the board.

Winter Trout Ponds IL - Still Catching Fish
aarchdale@coresleep.com replied to mic's topic in Illinois Waters
I may join you one of these days, I live down in Ozark MO but ive been working in your area the last year (Litchfield area) every once in a while i have a random day off in the middle of the week -
Did anyone see a the full results. I cant find it anywhere. Although looks like 16-10 took first, 14.5 second, and then i saw someone say they were 4th with 12-5. Thats all i could come up with, but if 4th was only 12 out of 150+ boats it doesnt look like they smashed them, Still tough out there!

Need a new/new to me boat or some help
aarchdale@coresleep.com replied to Heretolearn's topic in Buy - Sell - Trade
In my opinion unless your wanting to go deep V the Tracker 175 is one of the smoothest aluminum Hulls out there. My 19ft glass boat doesnt cut through the waves as well as my 175 did. -
I can bring CPAP machines for a snore free house....lol

Hey wrench
aarchdale@coresleep.com replied to Ketchup's topic in Tips & Tricks, Boat Help and Product Review
I went down to big Cedar today in my new to me tow rig and from Ozark, the hills were all backed up with struggling Toyotas trying to pull those hills to get to their lil tourney. Wish Toyota would make a diesel full size.............And obvi this is a joke, ive towed with a friends Tundra and they are great -

When i cracked a hose to the Turbo on my Dodge it was powerless. Couldnt see the crack in the hose unless it was under boost. Wouldnt think it would be that bad but it was a turd without boost. Cant imagine how a Ford would feel LOL -
I plan on going up that way Sunday for the USA Bassin. Havent been in a few weeks and thats the wrong side of the lake for me but looking forward to it

Fall Creek Boat Ramp Question
aarchdale@coresleep.com replied to Travis Swift's topic in Upper Lake Taneycomo
There is Fall Creek Marina parking at the top of the ramp and down a bit. I used to park there and pay to fish off the Marina dock all the time. Im sure you could park there and no one would ever question it -
Trolling motor question
aarchdale@coresleep.com replied to Carl1969's topic in Tips & Tricks, Boat Help and Product Review
I have a Garmin now and it the biggest POS ever. I had an Xi5 before, the Xi3 is pretty much the same, the spot lock on the motorguide is the best there is, remote works great on those too.. My Garmin remote is so delayed ive deemed it useless. And Garmin has sent me a new motor to replace my crappy one, is still sucks. -

I throw nothing but 20 all year for jigs. 15-17 will be just fine. I use a heavy rod too, with a med-heavy the lighter line will be good. I really dont think the fish care. I used to use 15 all the time and my buddy in the back of the boat with 20 would catch twice as many

We were down there yesterday too, It def was tough. we were in a small club tournament and no one brought in more than 2 keepers, each boat had 2 and they werent big. We had enough keeper bites but they just weren't getting the baits very good. Spoon was the most productive, Top water and jigs got us a few bites too. I think everyone with a wakeboard boat decided to come out yesterday for one last wake fest of the year

I wish this was still a fishing forum

Anymore he just has a glazed over look on his face pushing sponsors. I get that is his job but he doesnt make a video just for the the fans with tip and stuff like all the other guys do. He just wants to tell you how cold his Yeti is and how great his Nitro runs. I remember that tournament when he hooked his marshal i think on Kentucky lake. Seemed like a prick and it wasn't his fault. Your fault or not, you apologize period

Happy Birthday buddy, we share the same day!

Sept 1 Beaver Creek
aarchdale@coresleep.com replied to aarchdale@coresleep.com's topic in Upper Bull Shoals
Some people like helping others out. Kinda what this site is for. Even though fishing reports are few and far between these days. No secret there are stripers at powersite -
First time i havebt been on the road working on my birthday in years so i loaded up and ran down to Bridgeport. WT 78. I didnt get launched until 9:30. Catching was great overall. Ended up catching 23 in 4 1/2 hours. Only two were keeps and not by much. Found a decent shallow jig bite in Flat Creek, I could only get bit with a max scent chunk as a trailer. Tried a rage craw but no luck. Stopped by the bridge and it was just a topwater fest like always. They come up schooling and will hit about anything. Thought it was a perfect time to try out the savage gear snake that has been in my box for years. ITs a really cool bait but the hook up ratio sucks, it only has 2 hooks and they are in kinda in the middle of it. It has a bill on it and two different line ties, so you can wake it. And man it looks good swimming. Im going to tinker with it and see if i cant add a hook more on the tail somehow. When they were not on top schooling i would throw a jerkbait through them and pick a few up. Not a lot of size but it is a lot of fun. If anyone has kids i would say park under that bridge and just wait for the action and they would have a blast. Its been like that everyday i have been this summer there. Fishing "The Wall" at Baxter ? Beware of trot-lines !
aarchdale@coresleep.com replied to skeeter's topic in Table Rock Lake
Table Rock is not a good lake for trotlines because of all the Bass fishing, But man they will work, but they def needed to be marked very bright for swimmers and other fisherman.....TR is just loaded with flatheads. If i see one marked i happily avoid it and move on, those guys that actively run lines dont hurt my feelings. Just hate when they are hidden or left for dead -
Reel tech?
aarchdale@coresleep.com replied to Dutch's topic in Equipment - Rods/Reels/Line/and all the other toys
The guy in town I used took a few weeks, but it isnt his full time gig either. So the best option is to order a couple new reels. Then take the old ones in and you'll have spares when they are ready
