  1. Fished today from Cape to KC. Hit all my usual main lake stuff that i have been doing good on with a big spoon and didnt have a whole lot of luck. Went back into the creeks and caught 15 or so with 10 keeps. Nothing big but some solid fish. Ended up with 10lbs and some change for our best 4
  2. I totally understand why, IT because they hired some engineer to design the ramp instead of someone with common since. Beaver Creek ramp on Bull is a perfect example. I could barely get my wrangler with a 17ft boat turned there with the little turn around they made
  3. Ran across this on craigslist. A wanted ad for something like that https://springfield.craigslist.org/boa/d/columbia-wanted-open-water-layout-boat/6975146168.html
  4. There were 9 this Wed. We won with that, it was pretty tough, i think only 4 of us weighed in, second had 6 and some change. Last Wed only 2 boats showed up so they cancelled it. I would say more people will start coming when it cools down a bit. It was pretty brutal fishing till 3 the other day, we had an hour fog delay so they extended the day an extra hour. I did whack a 4.59 in that last hour, so that helped cool me down.
  5. We had a decent day yesterday, had 13.58 for 4 in the Cape Wed. Tournament. Deep docks with hunks of metal. its a 5 bite kinda day though. Tough to stick with it when you arent getting a lot of bites
  6. My dad is looking for a Deep V aluminum rig if anybody runs across one. Something in the 10k-15k range. Needs to be in good shape and turn key. Open on different motors probably wants a 4 stroke for trolling. No OPTIMAX
  7. I dont know what it should be but i do know the gauge can make a difference. I did a check on mine once and they were all around 95. I went and rented a compression tester form orielly and tested the exact same way and all of them went up to 120.
  8. Beaver is my fav walleye stop for sure, not so much when its flooded like this but usually August and September are great for trolling deep diving cranks.
  9. check facebook market place. IT is becoming the new craigslist
  10. None from the MLF/BPT have aired yet, all the MLF stuff on TV right now is from last year and has nothng to do with the new MLF/BPT tour.
  11. I would be happy to take the operators test if they put that in motion. Sometimes i feel like the young ones that have to take it have more sense than these old guys running around in there pontoons
  12. I think most people just really have no idea when they are in the wrong while boating, totally oblivious of what common courtesy is. I had a guy one time come flying up to us right next to one of our 3 dive flags we had out. He had no clue what he had did wrong until we had a heated discussion, and then he sped off... If your in a boat on Norfork lake and dont know what a dive flag is you are just an idiot
  13. Well the live scope is a seperate transducer all together. I perfer the external transducer anyways. I never got as good of a reading with built in transducer Heck, with 5k he could get the new Garmin troller, or any of the new trollers and a unit with livescope pretty easy.. And i bet that I-Pilot he takes off will still be worth some dollars
  14. I say Garmin with Livescope all the way. The Helix's are great but they are going to show the same thing as your 999 just a lot more detailed and clear. The livescope is a whole different ball game I have a Humminbird 1197 at the console and am perfectly happy with the mapping, 2d, and sidescan. Ive been around newer birds and they are awesome but they do the same thing mine does just with a lot more detail. I kinda feel like if i see a blob down there its probably a brush pile and im going to fish it regardless if i can pick out the individual fish on the limbs or not. Next thing i will be getting is Garmin with livescope up front, cant imagine how much it will help crappie fishing. I second the guys at Marine repair center, they helped me out last spring with some trouble shooting and wouldnt take a dime
  15. They are just little Tunnel hulls with little outboards, They have been doing it for years down by Rockaway. They are trying to over sell it by saying "POWERBOAT"
  16. https://springfield.craigslist.org/boa/d/boat-slip-for-lease-taneycomo/6952656079.html
  17. I thought the same thing. You would think the guy in the jersey would take a little better care of the fish
  18. USA BAssin took 20 last weekend. They are def. in there
  19. Yeah they said there best 5 would have been 21. I think there were around 30 boats and i didnt see very many limits
  20. Pretty good day . I fished a benefit tourney last Sat. at Aunts creek and it seemed like either guys caught them good or didnt do worth a hoot. Winners had 17.6 i think for 4 fish. I about crapped when i heard that. We finished second with 13.5 for our 4 fish. (4 fish limit). The weigh in only lasted about 10 minutes so i think most people didnt even weigh in.
  21. Ive had all 3. In that price range i dont really think one is better than the other, they all are pretty good. Just look around and try to find a one of them on sale. I will say the Garmin comes with pretty good mapping already on it compared to the lowrance and humminbird... the Garmin 73sv would be hard to beat
  22. Id be happy to take you out one of these days on either Taney or Table Rock. Maybe when it cools off a bit. I like to go a lot during the week to avoid the crowds and wake boats. I love throwing the ned on Table Rock
