  1. Is there anyway to tune an outboard to run on E-85? i have friends that have done it with cars to make a lot more power. I know they replaced a lot of things in the fuel system to handle it, but its a thought. But i know he is making 1250hp at the wheels on e-85 now in a turbo v-6. I guess anything is possible with enough money
  2. 6 week old outfit. My friends made it for him haha
  3. We see them quite often around springfield....Great pics. You definitely know when they are coming! I also watched them fly over a buddies dock at LOZ. Pretty neat
  4. i bought a nice refrigerator for my house for 500, and it makes its own ice. Most people buy Yeti's for the sticker
  5. I guess it was a good problem to have
  6. how long were the short ones? Seems like i caught a lot last year that were almost 18 but just not quite!!!
  7. I wont use a Yeti for the simple fact my buddy got one and we put a bunch of beers in it for a while, when we went to drink them they were frozen. Im sure they would be good for keeping food, but as far as a day trip cooler i would go cheap
  8. Mine did that last month, it sucked up a whole bunch of debris and clogged the thermo so it wasnt wasnt opening or shutting properly
  9. no, just look for scuffs every once in a while. They arent as sharp as people make them out to be. I dive around them all the time
  10. My brother had one and it was a piece of junk, it lasted 2 years. his interstate lasted 7
  11. I pull my dads 19ft Pro Craft everyonce in a while with an 2001 Frontier it only has the 3.3 v6. It doesnt like it but it gets the job done. The surge breaks help a lot. I wouldnt want to do it very often. It pulls my Bass Tracker way better. If it werent for the hills heading down hwy 65 it wouldnt be that bad
  12. I think its slowing down, a month ago i caught my limit in 35 minutes and had a couple of other limit days and they were all females. went last week and caught 15 with only 6 keepers, they were all skinny
  13. I love my xi5. I have no experience with the min Kota but I can't imagine it be much different. I have read hundreds of reviews and it is a toss up. I have heard the anchor mode is more accurate on the MG and I will say it is pretty dead on. Since you already have the birds the minn Kota would be a better option. They def won't work with the MG. probably can't go wron either way
  14. I was there yesterday with a buddy that is a lurker on this sight, I hope he sees this. We caught about 20 crappie in flat creek with only 6 keepers it has definitly slowwed down. then we ventured out to capture some elusive large mouth, went out toward bearden cove ( i think thats what its called. caught a few bass on a wart and a then some on the Ned. Only one keeper bass and my buddy lost another keeper. about 15 bass all together. all spots except the one that got away and a cou[le short LM.....flatt creek was a little dirty but once we got in the James it was a nice green stain
  15. bad butt Boat, beer, FJ...I like your style
  16. I have tried the berkely vanish for leader and it is the weakest line i have ever used. Told my buddy to by some 8lb flouro cuz we were going trolling the next day and he got some vanish. And it was just as bad, i thought i may have got a bad spool of it or somthing. But He was breaking line right and left. I would stay away from it. Now we use Fireline as the the main and suffix flouro as a leader and it works great. Buying a little more expensive flouro isnt so bad when your just using it for a leader, the spool will last a long time only using 10 feet at a time... thats just my experience. and i have used a lot of different and cheaper flouros but that is the only one that stood out as being weak. Stren flouro is fairly inexpensive and i have had good luck with it too
  17. It seams like usually the bass trakker is less than actual weight at the weigh in. If thats the case they are really smokin them today
  18. Caught this in the pursuit channel. It had Mike Mcclelland talking about and fishing with the rock crawler. Pretty good watch.
  19. I was there yesterday started at 2 and had a 2 limits by 6. WeThrew swimming minnows, rooster tails and flicker shads. we caught them on everything we threw. Lots of big sows and a lot of real small guys.
  20. I pulled the lower and it was good. Impeller still looks new. As it shoud only 8 months old. I also left the thrmero out and fired her up in some muffs and it shot out a load of stuff. Hopefully that will be the fix. Side note. Yesterday after she alarmed on me. I put down the troller and ended up with 25 big whites. And a whole bunch if little males. All way up beaver creek in bull shoals
  21. well i got home and ran all the test and everything checked out fine. Took it to the lake and as soon as i got up on plane it beeped 6 times and sputtered and took me down to an idle. Did a little research and someone mentioned a clogged thermostat. So i figued that was simple to at least check real quick... Well it was clogged up with so much crap. Im just gonna throw a new one in it too. Is there any good way to clean out all the debris in the motor? i literally could stick my finger in there and pull out all kinds of stuff
  22. i got into trolling stupid colors this last winter and i did great with them. The natural colors didnt do worth a hoot. Pink Lemonade is a good one
  23. alright, after i get home from my work trip i will give it a shot and report back. What will it do if it is not working properly?
