  1. No doubt, if i would have caught one that size, in no way would i have thought it to be a record. Im sure a lot of alternative records are caught and eaten and no one ever knew
  2. I got one last year 6.5ft due to all these guys posts recommending it and i definitly have not been disappointed. So good for casting thos little jigs at trout, and i used mine quite a bit last year for crappie. I think i said this before on here but i got mine at Bass Pro and got the 2 year extended warranty. When i asked what it covered, the lady said just to break it over my knee before the two year mark so i can get a brand new one. And she said that is what BPS told them to say to sell the warranty.
  3. https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Daiwa_Lure_Retriever/descpage-DLR.html I got this one thinking it would be good so i gave my old hound dog away. It was a pos, I threw it away and got another hound dog to put on the reel it came with.
  4. Whats the most durable A-rig out there?. Ive read so many reviews on Tacklewarehouse and almost all of them except the Yumbrella flash mob are horrible. I got a Strike King with the titanium arms the other day and then read the reviews on TW and was nervous. Almost every review said the arms fall off for no reason at all, just from casting. I threw it a few days and hung it probably 15 times where i had to pull the crap out of it to free it and it still has all its arms. Just wonder what everyone else uses. If they hold up to a 10-20lb stiper im sure the are tough
  5. Just wanted to chime in again an say last week alone my Lure retriever (hound dog) saved a megabass 4 times, 2 warts and even sent it down on an A-rig twice and it knocked it loose. So right there is about $150+ in one week.
  6. Not sure if you can see it anymore but used to at the bottom of the home page it showed a list of all the people viewing the site. It always blew me away how many there were and most I had never seen a post out of.
  7. We had our last Tinboat Tourney of the year today. Ony had five boats show up but we fished anyway. Took out of Boliver landing, water as cold 44 and dirty, so I ran straight to the Dam, and water was much clearer and hanging around 50 degrees. We ended up with 13.18 for our best five with a 4lb in the mix. A-rig, Ned, Wacky, Jig. Hodgepoge of baits, we just kinda threw what looke good at the moment. Big fish and a couple others were on the A-rig in about 15-20ft on windy bluffy banks. Lost a few nice ones and had some very nice ones follow the Rig all the way to the boat. Didnt see hardly any shad at all. ~Andy

  9. Dang im aleady tempted, This isnt helping me say no. My only problems is running the cable on my Xi5 troller
  10. 47 up at beaver Creek
  11. I have one of those retrievers, i bet in the last two years it has saved me over $200. I wont throw a crank or troll without one in my boat
  12. Only reason i got one is because my dad and i got into the crappie real good a couple years back and caught our limit. When we got home and laid them all out we had 34 not 30, honest mistake but the game warden probably wouldnt have thought so. Easy to lose count when they start biting real good
  13. My buddy saw one of those in my boat and made fun of me . He said that I was awful cocky to have a fish counter. haha
  14. i think this is this best post on this thread.
  15. I just truly dont believe there is a shortage of bass in Table Rock. If anything the spots need to be thinned out. .....Put on some dive gear and dive down any bank and you will see 3 times more bass than any other fish.
  16. Took my little guy yesterday for the first time actually fishing. He was over it pretty quick, so we only trolled for about an hour. Got a couple nice crappie and a yellow perch then he was ready to ride around in the boat
  17. 10 and some change won. Most everyone had a limit just no one got a big bite.
  18. ive seen them on the finley up above Linden
  19. If your not running banks fast or fishing in tight spots around docks it is easy to use.
  20. Pedal sucks. Had mine 4 years, still dont really like the pedal, but the other features make up for it. I can use the pedal fairly well but if someone else in my boat that is used to a normal cable steer tries it , it is a disaster. The spot lock is the best thing ever
  21. Anybody with an aluminum rig come to Ruark West for he Tin boats Tourney. Take off at 7 a.m. Saturday the 27th
  22. Water up by McCord's bend was 55 on Wed. I got no love up the river. 65 around Bridgeport. Threw a Plopper for a long time and never had even a blow up
  23. I dont know how much a bus like that weighs, but im sure its more than the 10 ton weight limit of the bridge, fill it full of passengers and luggage and im sure it over double
  24. ran across this video on Facebook today.... No thanks
  25. I Remember when i first got a boat, i was chasing gar half the day throwing topwater thinking they were bass. Then i finally realized i wasted a solid 4 hours. They are thick up the James this time of year
