  1. It's pretty much there, based on having fished it at 925 before. Don't think that estimate counted the all night rains.
  2. Yep. Bunch of them are here. Heard there was a HS derby too, but haven't seen any signs of them so far. Looks like it should be out of here in a couple hours.
  3. You can look them up, I think. Pool history. I've been here for all the high water years except for the weird winter flood. 935 and 936, water splashing over the dam from the waves. So we've got a ways to go.
  4. Wasn't awful at the dock, but it might be in the morning. It's still running in hard.
  5. Does it look like a toothpick factory yet?
  6. And it's not necessarily done raining.
  7. That's about right. Gentleman fishing with me this weekend is from Tahlequah area. They got pounded at home.
  8. Way to go Sprint!
  9. Plus all the rain we got all day today.
  10. That's fabulous Bobby. I love fishing with my kids, miss it when I'm here without them.
  11. Quill, I think some of our fish here around KC might have been full on spawning last week too. Have a few ways to catch them when they are actively going at it, but none that work in wind. Would explain an awful lot.
  12. There are no fish in Schooner Creek. Clearly you must be mistaking it for Aunt's or Clevenger.
  13. Definitely not fishing the way it sometimes does. Expecting them to pop next week, if the weekend is warm.
  14. It's just nuts anymore, Bill. The Tyson derby guys were already coming in today. Not picking on them, but it's just the next man up, basically. I hope it's not another Truman and KC situation setting up. It was busy years ago when CPA, Heartland, Midwest Outdoor, etc were all hopping. But there were a lot more places to stay. Only things keeping me from Bull is the recent history of the Corps filling it up to unusable levels, and not having a good handle on the resort situation.
  15. I know who will have it first. *cough cough blue Charger cough
  16. It's only your friend when it's useful. Sometimes it just blows out of spite.
  17. This. Always this.
  18. Might message Huntest. He had a really nice replica made of that giant meanie his grandson caught.
  19. I need my brown fish close at hand though.
  20. Mountain Home is a bit of a zoo, but there are some nice little places near it. We really liked Batesville last fall, although I'm not sure I'm ready to be a Greer's guy.
  21. FWIW, I'm leaving tomorrow, and have close to 2500yds of 6# Red Label and Invizx spooled. Honestly never have an issue with the floobies on large spool reels.
  22. The 3000 LT spool size is different than the old 3000s. They darn near wrecked them. In an LT you need to go to the 4000. Weight is about the same as the old 3000s, similar spool size, still a little smaller.
  23. We've felt this for the last two years or so. Of course every place changes over time, but it's been rapid and dramatic at TR. Still a great lake, still a lot of good local folks, so I try to focus on that. But Arkansas does look better every year.
