    I will be there Thursday with a boat that has two empty seats. But fair warning, if Eric and Michael find the White River in unexpectedly good condition, I will bolt Friday morning for Flippin.

    Did I ever tell you guys about this time driving home to St. Louis after a George Birthington;s Washday fishing trip on Taneycomo? Had a 20' jon on a trailer behind an Aerostar van. Boat tried to pass me about a mile east of Northview on ! 44. Wound up in the median thinking look out here comes a head on. Boat straightened out in the grass, van was driving fine so back up on 44 no harm no foul. So be careful.

    We need to let Ham see what it's like tomorrow. If it's brown crap it was not worth the drive two years ago when it was turning over.

    I'm also a 2" thick steak person. That way you can get a good bark and still have a nice rare/medium rare center.

    I'm a fire person too. Use a meat thermometer occasionally - but typically I rely on color, rebound texture and a lifetime - a surprisingly long lifetime by now - of experience.
