Dogs just naturally hate snakes. I wish they were afraid of them like us but nope, that's not the deal. Hope your dog gets well soon. I've had way too many dogs v. copperhead experiences. Nearly all were fine.
No one will ever need to support me.
You say that. But no one gets to decide how or when they go. You could have a stroke tomorrow, spend three weeks in a hospital, and come home in a wheelchair totally out of your own control. Nobody is just going to put you down, even if that's what you really want. Fantasy be darn.
I was at home watching the news drinking coffee and preparing to go to a meeting later that day. Saw the second plane hit the tower on live TV. The meeting was cancelled.
I was big into Jack Russells at the time. Went to trials/dog shows all the time. Following weekend one of my good friends was putting on a trial in Kentucky. Everybody needed some normal. The show went on with more people helping, more unity and more just solid we will get them just wait, than I have ever or ever hope to experience again. One of my great friends from England was able to get there only a little late. Went hunting after the show - and we did good but the thing I remember most was how the field we started in was covered with small white butterflies. Our host had a little problem that day though, bent over to see what one of the terriers was on to, and stuck a huge locust thorn right in her butt cheek.
911 always makes me remember those days. The trial host's B'day is today and we reminisced. It was tough for sure. But I wish somehow the country could come together again like it did then.
Man are the flying predators out this evening. Swooping, diving swirling and generally getting it on. So much fun to watch mother nature, hard case that she is, working it out. Must be a dozen nighthawks working and hundreds of dragonflies.
I'm not getting into politics outside the password protected forum. And since I don't have or want that password I guess that just leaves me not getting into politics on OAF at all.
My grandson has it. So does his dad. My daughter and other grandson living in the same house do not. It does not sound like fun. At all. Fortunately,, my daughter is being allowed to work from home. Nobody has any idea where they got it. Dad has been having back problems and staying home. Only place he's been in the last couple of weeks is Dr. Office and of course he was masked at the time. Grandson is a homebody too and has not been actually anywhere other than in the car with his mother. My daughter works at a urologist's practice and is masked all day every day. Changes her clothes and puts the day's clothing in the laundry as soon as she gets home. Doesn't go anywhere without a mask. Still sleeping in the same bed as dad. The two grandsons are in the same room. So, the takeaway is you never know.
