They sure did. Not so much the hunting stuff - at least not quite as much - but just go ahead and try to find a box of 12 gauge buckshot for example. Or .38 special or 9mm. You can still get a box of .270 or .243 etc. with a lot less variety in choice.

I got a 20 gauge 1100 from my mother on my 21'st birthday. It's been just a great gun since day one. Still have it of course. Its also why I bought the 11-87. Very similar guns with similar fit. Too bad the 11-87 wasn't reliable.

I have an M-1 super 90. It's probably 20 years old now if not more. It has never failed me. Bought it to replace an 11-87 with intermittent problems that Remington could not cure after two tries. I've always liked Remington shotguns, but that one's hiccups just made me get a different brand for duck hunting. Can't go wrong with a Benelli if you ask me.

In order to keep trips between Ozark and Mountain Home to the minimum, I'll probably rent a cabin at Rim Shoals. Will still want to visit with everyone in the safest way possible.

All I would need would be a place to plug into 115 V for lights and such.
