  1. Put a dent in HLS inventory today after lunch, but they still have some!
  2. Very nice chunky small jaw. Great effort to stay with it for 9 hours on a rainy cool day. Great detailed report other the un-named bait. LOL
  3. Good article. Different refreshing way to look at bass fishing. Numbers of fish are what I like about finesse fishing, don't get me wrong, there is nothing more enjoyable than catching big fish, but I do get bored very quickly when I am not getting bites.
  4. Great report Sprint. Sounds you threw everything you had at them and tried different areas to get those better fish you needed. As we all know the LM catch rate at or above 5 lbs on the Rock is down. They turn up every now and then, but are not in great numbers. Fishing pressure and of course the fish kill have had negative impacts on those big uns.
  5. Great report QB. Good to hear of some other crank doing good other than the wart and RC, very nice looking bagley. You showed em something different, which at times will get you more bites. Alex and Whit: Thanks for adding your reports as well. I worked yesterday, but based on the type day it was, just knew the catching would be outstanding and sure enough you guys smashed them! I would like to trade a few week/work days here lately for a few weekend days. I don't know why mother nature punishes us working stiffs with consistent cold fronts on the weekends.
  6. Good report and good luck on the addition to the house. Only problem with that is it will cut into the fishing time.
  7. Well done Macsimus. You guys had a great day, thanks for posting the results of you day on the water. Those TR brown fish love those PBJ sandwiches!
  8. Glad you got into the whites. Catching them like that must have been a hoot! I don't envy you having to clean that many at the end of the day.
  9. All good suggestions. If your going to spend a considerable amount of time in the Yak and fish the Rock, I would add a fish finder. Nothing fancy or very expensive, just a basic compact unit. Fishing TR without a fish finder is like fishing with a blind fold on, a must have IMO. Another suggestion on where to get kayak gear is Ozark Mountain Trading Company. They have two locations, one in Garfield, Ar and the other in Ozark, MO. I have traded with them for the past 5 years, Bruce and Larry Jenkins are the owners and they will take good care of any needs you may have. They carry a good stock of fishing accessories as well as everything else needed. The wife and I enjoy going out in our kayaks mostly on the upper Kings, Buffalo and War Eagle.
  10. Congrats on that nice LM. Really nice one if it's a male.
  11. +1 to all the above. Keep up the good work Super Dave!
  12. That happens on the Rock, especially with water conditions the way they are. Good luck next time.
  13. Good report and some nice keepers. You do know what has increased your brown fish catching in the upper end? Answer: Fishing the Ned on a regular basis. The small jaws love those things!
  14. Awesome find Phil. I wouldn't use them for trout, but they sure look good with your collection.
  15. Ham, I might give that lizard a swim this spring on spawning banks attached to a swing head.
  16. 10-4 on the red shad gillraker worm. I still have several bags of them, they were a great worm in colored water or at night.
  17. Nice pics QB. Looking forward to seeing some green on those trees other than pines and cedars.
  18. Fished KC area today. Struggled to catch 5 with 3 keepers. Started quick with 2 in about 15 minutes on the wart and jerk bait. The other 3 were on the Ned at 3:00. Tough NE wind. Water had decent color with about 6' visibility. Temp at start of the day was 46 and up to 50 when I went to the house.
  19. I fished the TRD for the first time a few weeks ago. Rigged it with the bumpy end glued to the jig head. I caught them that way, but really don't know if it makes any difference.
  20. Thanks for the info RPS and Middleton. Didn't want to take 187 off of 62 Hwy and have to turn around and go back. Middleton: I just sent you a PM for more information. Thanks.
  21. Good point Jeff. Your statement is logical, hope you are right.
  22. Hey RPS. I suppose the bridge on Hwy 187 that flooded is closed, which means that you can't get through there to Hwy 23. Is that correct? Will be headed over to Lampe after work today and usually take 187 to connect to 23. Did they ever find the guy that was swept of the bridge in his SUV? That is just terrible.
  23. Thanks for the reports from the James guys. Fish are making a move shallow, good to hear the water color wasn't that bad also.
  24. Good to hear the crankbait bite is good. When you say stained/muddy water, how far can you see your bait under the water? Is the water clearer up river from Big Creek or down river? Thanks for the report, hope you get them again today.
  25. That is crazy!
