  1. Just curious, whats the reasoning for 128th oz? Also what hook size? I often use 1/64th and 1/32 oz jigs (#2, 4 o r6 hook) with 2 or 3 inch plastics, and I've considered going even smaller, but I often wonder what's the point and why not just go weightless? A weightless Texas rigged or wacky rigged wiggly piece of plastic is my go to in less them 5 fow. On a side note..seems like we're both really splitting hairs on tiny jig usage.
  2. No hail at 36 when I was there just lightning. In fact after the rain quit there was still lots of lightning in the area...I felt like those guys were fishing in an electric chair. I'm just glad I live in the age of the smart phone. I don't go fishing without quick and easy access to the weather radar!
  3. Yup same here minus the nibble for the boy and i. Found a pocket in the cove where lots but they were all little.
  4. Kinda seems gross....blinky the 3 eyed fish comes to mind. I know this is sacreligous but I'd be curious to see what the heck its full of.

    livewell

I much prefer to just toss em directly on ice. Now I just fil my wells with ice. 1 gets drinks, the other gets fish. Just know which is which...
  6. It's like a treasure hunt when water levels drop on super pressured waters.
  7. It was good. 35 is weird clear for this time of year, bout 3-5feet, wt 68 degrees. Went to 36 after you guys left and tried to wait out the rain, but gave up by 7. Saw two fellers out fishing on a boat in the middle of that lightning storm....and I thought I was hardcore.
  8. I was looking for that!
  9. "biologists" hahahahahaha.
  10. As a gang id assume y'all beat up, send out death threats, and vandalize the boats/trucks of the evil meat hunters/tin boat guys, or anyone who doesnt hate the missouri department of conservation enough.

    walleye

    Awesome!
  12. I dont understand why this is viewed as "picking fights"....im sure wrench could take me...im a weakling with a bad back. I simply correct people when they say things that are absolutely false. If a person makes things up off of the top of their head...then presents it as if it is fact, then i will certainly correct them if i know it is indeed false. Im sure wrench can fix a boat just fine...but he is "way out of his class" talking about science lol...stick to outboards or shutup, unless you wanna be corrected. "junior flipper" "my boy" (im not 15...) This is just another example of the childish name calling that goes on from the white river gang...thank you for at least not referring to my penis though like mixermarkb and dtrs....thats weird guys.
  13. Me too, but I just toss em on ice and do it in the morning. Its safer too as your not dealing with flopping fish. Nice catching.
  14. Gooooooo!!!! I get the weird heeby jeebs when I catch a fish I can't quite identify (or any catfish.) I'd never touch that thing, grab jig with pliers....and shake off back in the water.
  15. Hornyhead chub if i had to take a stab at it.
  16. Hey i know you guys!! Looks like 35 is way up.
  17. Great day!
  18. Nah, i think your confusing this for the table rock forum. The Stockton forum has very little of the childish nonsense, its full of great information.
  19. Thats not all you mentioned. You went on to rant about things you clearly know little or nothing about. If you dont say such outrageous stuff i will certainly back off...but you were begging for it.
  20. I probably googled the wrong bait then. I thought it was 24.99, either way, its a heck of a lot cheaper than those things on tacklewarehouse that are 100 bucks for one.
  21. Well, you would have to ask folks who make their livelihood on fishing, but my guess would be that it would be a lean 2 months if possession limits were zero. Once again...i want to point out that im in total favor of restricting possession and harvest limits during the spawn, but its just something that the majority of folks will not get behind im afraid. For the most part, folks in rural missouri cant stand gubmint regulations.
  22. I thought the same thing...needs hooks twice that size. Although....compared to all the other jitterbugs with power worms glued to the back, I mean, rat baits. that one is a steal at only 25 bucks.
  23. Because it means that they would go in a severe dry spell in terms of revenue for a few years. Would you go with 50% pay for a couple of years, at the speculative chance that you may get paid more after a few lean years? Maybe you would, but most wont. That is why. I think it makes perfect sense.
  24. Amazing picture.
  25. I Totally agree with that....im in favor of very strict regulations regarding fish possession...and almost all environmental and conservation regulations, of which mdc is quite lax often times. This line of thought is definitely in the minority unfortunately.
