In a way you all have missed my point. I do not really care what you pay for anything. I have a ruined who bought a rod and reel last year cost him over $800 bucks. He can afford it. But when a someone is married has family to support a home to pay for and a future to contemplate getting the most expensive stuff ( notice I did not say the best always) cause all kinds of serious domestic problems within he family. I look at it this way. I ask her to get married. I fathered my kids. Therefore they are my first responsibility.

I turned one our of cedar one and put 3 inch propller blade on the back of it. It did make a pretty good bait but mostly with the jerk and pause. It was no where in the class with that wopper stopper. The back joint looks like legs kicking back there. I think it's fine but I am not going to pay $15 bucks or more for one.

I looked at a video . It is basically a buzz bait. I do not see anything wrong with it. It might be easier for me to use than a regular buzz bait. The color means very little to me just light or dark. Whatever my hand fell on. But I am not the least bit interested if they want to charge you 3-4 times more than it's worth. I hate that. I just know there are a good many people on here paying for a home raising children and on a tight budget. I just hate to see them blow the budget for a lot of the cool you got to have things that are mentioned on here.

On on this forum selling is what it is all about.intended or not intended. If it looks like the thing to do many will act like white bass on a feeding frenzy.

i do not do it here on LOZ. i depend a lot on stealith. i am no wrench about that( he can sneak up on a fish in 1 ft of water) but I do well enough to suit me. I have learned you can get awful close to fish and not disturb them by being careful. When I do go behind docks I pitch or flip. I can usually handle the fight without getting messed up in the cables I am that close. i also have arthritis. I would not last very long skipping. Fishing around cables is a real challenge on LOZ that's for sure. There are old cables that were replaced and you do not see plus most docks have minimum of 6 like mine does. I have had fish take my lure and run. under a cable then jump and still end up tangled in the cable. It still can happen either way over or under around here.

I imagine there is one competitor running around with some damage on his bass boat. I was down fooling with my boat in the dock and I seen these two. Guy fishing between mine and the dock next door a distance of about 25ft. There was a large wake rolling though. For some reason they just did not react to it . I turned my back and that wake thru that boat into the Corner of my dock o hard it liked to knocked me off my feet. I did not see the damage to his boat .I was busy on the floor of mine working on something. They left before I could get a look.

Use those shad swimming all over the place for bait. The fresher the better. I and my neighbor had a strange experience a few days ago we were out deep jigging a hump with a top at 30 ft. Seen a lot fish deeper. Sure enough we got a real nice channel between 50 - 55 ft. That is the deepest I have ever caught one, though I have caught some big Blues between 30 - 40 ft.

They have been in LOZ as far back as I can remember. As a matter of fact have not seen as many in recent years. I do not think they effect the plankton at all. I have a submersible light that draws hoards of plankton.

There was something amis ok .It was my brain for several years. You have not specified enough reasons to cover the crap I did wrong.

There ifs no worry about those leaking since they are gel sell. It is the flooded cell like mine that leak.

You know I very rarely disagree with you wrench but I do this time. Guess we will have to wait and see and hope there is no heavy fog to contend with to begin with.

Bigctrading -------- I seen your boat on a visit up to see Wrench. I have known him for many years. I noted you had a Targa. I want you know if your boat came equipped with battery trays instead of boxes like mine did that they are not good guards for battery acid. I would change them all to boxes if I ere you. In my 1991 18 ft model the trolling motor battery trays were locates in the in front forward of the consoles. Over a period of 15 yrs there was spilling etc from the two batteries unknown to me that got through the bottom of the battery boxes. Then. ate tiny holes here and there thru the hull near the keel. They were able to fix itself here at Outback welding. They had to apply 18" wide pieces of 90ga aluminum over both sides of the keel over the top of the 100ga already there the full length of the bottom. Cost was $ 2400.00.

With temperatures in the. 40's at take off timeYour going to have thick fog out there and it might last in places till at least 8 am. I think they should ammend the tournament hours for this reason to later time slots.

While the rest of the state has been getting a bit of rain we are not really lacking here. I would not be surprised if a lot of the lake is stagnated. That can be tough. Very tough.

I think they have shut down the bare foot bar and coconuts for the season. Not sure coconuts is not open on the weekends still. That along with the cooler weather should make the boating easier. i might sound like a broken record but be careful we had a guy killed last weekend in a bass boat. He turned the wrong way to a avoid a collision. Wrong way driving is common around here. As far as wakes go. I own a big old deep 18 1/2 fr Targa that has a lot of freeboard. Some of this stuff will roll that Targa at a 45 degree angle. and it can be a violent ride. Three guys were thrown out of a tracker about a month ago by a wake. I suspect with the cool weather coming in a lot of them will be staying home. Water temperature off Coffmans Beath was 80 yesterday at the bottom of my trolling motor. Bit warm for this time of year. All my fishing this week has confined to 2 periods covering 31/2 hours . Nothing to do with bass. I was deep jigging a spoon and shad combination for Hybrids. and heavy catfish . Neither of witch I caught.

Seth I know you fish out of a John boat a lot is that what your bringing down here? be extra careful if it is. I do not know how many of these joints down here are still open in the area you have to travel to for weight. That main channel can get wakes in it you almost can not se over from the seat of a John boat.

What they are doing is selective feeding. They are foraging on shad and 99% of the time that is all they want. Your best bet with artificial right now is getting them out of to reaaction. Usually that means a fast retrieve.

I live on the. Mill Creek side of Cedar Point. I can guarantee you there will be plenty of rocking and rolling going on.

That is a thing for a few of us at LOZ. When I say a few I mean we are a rare breed doing this. I can guarantee you it can be a real. Pain to use around brush and docks. It also can be very effective at times.

I been using it for a few years. Mine have 1/2 oz and larger bell sinkers on them ,0/5 hooks and anything from a magnum trickster in up as a rule

I never really weigh fish here on LOZ. I measure them and that's it. I remember times when 18 inch fish were weighing. In a tournaments at 4lb and by the same token there are time when they weight 3lbs. At this point in my life I only have two measurement 15" is a keeper and 21 is hog. This year I am not seeing much of either.

Ones shot. You cannot totally blame them for any move they make I know they are suppose to be independent but you can bet your bottom dollar they are not especially this day in age. When they get done you can almost bet they will send notice to every member of the Missouri Legislator asking for any comment. Most times they ignore those and do not bother to comment. But if some A hole up there wants to create a rucus you can bet he will apply pressure. iT just amazes me how the government and legislature really work. I often marvel this country has lasted this long.u
