  1. Thumbs In one of your photos it looks like you have either a yellow or white rod on deck, and I was wondering if it was a yellow fiberglass blank? I have been looking for the old yellow lamiglas rods for cranking, and was wondering if that might be one.
  2. Wow! I can't believe that it took Ryan and almost 2 pages to finally mention Mike McClelland and Brian Snowden. Two locals that know this lake very well and have proven themselves on the BASS Elites, it would be hard to mention these two. Oh yeah every single fishing report and video I have seen for the last 2 weeks have said water temps are 45-51 degrees. Can you say JERKBAIT and WIGGLE WART!!!
  3. I just wanted to share this link to an article on a possible world record spotted bass. Enjoy That is one beautiful fish! http://www.bassmaster.com/news/new-world-record-spotted-bass
  4. Good read thanks for posting!
  5. Bill can you tell where Lilley's located. I would love to stop in next time I am down.
  6. I believe Fin and Feather has them in Springfield.
  7. Thanks! I fish the Cape Fair area a lot when I can get back home, and I believe the upper James section of Table Rock warms up the fastest. Hopefully the big girls start staging soon! Tight Lines!
  8. Fat Boy if you don't mind me asking: What kind of jerkbaits were you throwing?
  9. I am going with 74.5
  10. I love my Shimano Stradics, for I have never had an issue with them at all.
  11. Sore Thumbs is so right!!! I have been buying the undesired colored wiggle warts for the last 3 years. Most of them for under $20, and a lot under $10. I take the hardware off and send them to either Tim Hughes or Dwain Batey of Baitwerks and have them paint them. On the high end it might cost me $40 or so. Better than $150
  12. I just wanted to say thank you to Phil, Bill, Phillip, for posting this seminar on the forum. I wish I was back home in Missouri, so I could have attended! Live in New York now and check the forum everyday, and dream of the Rock and how much I miss it! Thanks Again!
  13. Well said Champ188!
  14. Nice Fish Richy! I love that you are catching fish on big swim baits in January!!! I have had success on big top water swim baits on Table Rock in the spring and fall, and the quality of the bass you catch goes way up! You caught five fish like you have been catching in a tournament you would be in the money for sure! Nice job again!
  15. This is a great question, and I have wondered what the TBL record largemouth was as well. I would bet the MDC would be the only source that might know and could be trusted. I would have thought the state record would have been broken in the last 10 years with either LOZ or TBL giving her up. I have heard from a MDC fisheries biologist that they had electroshocked a largemouth in TBL that would have broken the current record easily.
  16. Nice Job! That is one nice looking bait. When do most people start throwing wake baits on TBL?
  17. Thank you for the information. I was going to order some Punisher hair jigs, but are there any suggestions on brand that anyone prefers?
  18. Doug, What is the name of your company or baits? Also where would one find where they are sold?
  19. Has anyone used or had any success with a hair jig and pork in the wintertime on Table Rock?
  20. Sore Thumbs which Megabass color are you referring too? I know Red is a hot color in other parts of the country, California Delta, Toledo Bend, Sam Rayburn, and the Ohio river. I have never thrown a jerkbait in any other color than a baitfish pattern, but one thing I have learned is that if you show them something they have never seen before. It works!
  21. Throwing a jerk bait is probably my favorite way to fish, and I think Table Rock is one of the best lakes in Missouri to throw one. I am a huge Megabass Vision 110 fan, but you should not limit yourself to one brand because all are a bit different. Size, Depth, Weight, Rattles, ETC.... Please note the Megabass baits are from Japan where finesse is key, so these baits come with great light wire hooks. The down side is I have had them bend out on BIG white bass, and smallmouth, and changed them out with KVD 2X short shanks. Bad Idea! Made the bait sink like a rock, so be careful making adjustments with Vision 110. Size 6 Gammys work fine if you do need to change hooks. QB the Rogue Perfect 10 works well on the rock. Here are my favorites: Megabass Vision 110 Spro Mcstick Jackall Squad Minnow Smithwick Rogue Jackall Soul Shad Lucky Craft Staysee Lucky Pointer
  22. I love spotted bass and think they are a blast to catch, as well as being one of the prettiest black bass species. What would a trophy or a wall hanger be considered on Table Rock?
  23. Bill, Why do you think the days of catching big spots on TBR Lake are over??
  24. Well like most Megabass baits I am sure it is going to catch fish. I am having hard time wondering how this was a secret bait for Ito (owner of megabass) then why would he be selling it to the general public. Does anyone know if this bait is going to be a limited production model? I would love to know if anyone has fish the Magnum 110 version on Table Rock with any success?
  25. Hi Mike, Plastics look great, just sent you a request to your email. Thanks again
