  1. I love my force! It's the best piece of hunting or fishing equipment I have ever bought in my opinion. It will run my boat 4.7 MPH if I want it to and that's using it as 24 volts. The best thing about the Force it's its Garmin and they have the best customer service anywhere this side of Chick Filet. I broke something on it and it was 110% my fault and I told them so. They said no problem sir we have a new piece on the way and it was overnighted to me free of charge! They designed it so if something breaks that part can be easily replaced without taking the whole trolling motor off the boat, that's how their pro team wanted it. I have NOTHING bad to say about the darn thing. I run my pedal off of 2 AA batteries and those two will last you an entire year.
  2. Ducky don't Sucky thats for sure!
  3. We always bring a couple coolers and load up with filets, sirloin burgers wrapped in bacon and tri tips to bring home! Hundreds of dollars worth everytime. Oh and breakfast sausage in bulk too!
  4. Filet them and fry them up in some Andy's fish seasoning and they are amazing. If your gonna grill or bake throw them back and go to Harter house and get some good meat to eat 😉
  5. Good stuff and that last tip is a good one, just like tying a drop shot hook......I hadn't thought about that! Thanks for the info Mr. Babler!
  6. That has been my preferred method of late (long tag) also DJ but I wasn't sure if it was the proper one
  7. That is awesome Bill. Would you mind sharing how you tie the tandem scud? I"m still learning on that fly stuff. Sometimes I tie the first scud like normal and then tie the second one off the back of the hook. Sometimes I tie the first one with a really long tag end and then tie the second scud off that. Not sure what the proper way is? Thanks in advance. travis
  8. Thanks for the updates. Sucks not being able to be there
  9. the Elastech is the key to the entire system and will never be topped for the Ned. Do others catch fish? Sure they do but nothing will catch them as good or last near as long and it's not even close.
  10. Still wish I had your old motor on my boat. I love my boat and the 60 just sips the gas but I wish it was a tad faster. I think you butt dialed me last week at 12:30 in the morning? or perhaps you meant to......i was sound asleep sorry man.
  11. Me and my brother snuck away for a quick weekend at Taney. It sure didn't disappoint, weather was cold and rainy but the fishing was hot. Our best fish was a 19 1/4 inch bow but we had alot of "gooduns". Got to chat a bit with DJ and Duane on the water and had a blast. We threw a jerkbait till our arms hurt but it just wasn't happening this trip. 3/32nd ounce jig did 90% of our damage with 2 pound test. Cable to lookout was okay look out to fall creek was way better for us. Big crowds for April from fall creek down.
  12. Congratulations my friend. Was so great to visit with you guys today. Was the highlight of the day.
  13. Hope to see ya on the water today buddy
  14. I've had mine over a year and I love it, no issues at all. I run mine wireless and it's ran off of 2 AA batteries the entire year. Sorry for your issue though.
  15. Trout hollow posted a picture of a rainbow caught today on their Facebook.. Damndest looking thing I've ever seen. Figured I would share.
  16. Here's a picture of it.. That was a long long long time ago ahahha. Well over 30 years ago. We used to stay at Sun Valley then and goodness do I miss that place simply for the memories as we went there every year on vacation. I think a guy named Dale owned it back then and it was a top notch joint.. Atleast it was to a kid. Back then there wasn't very many of us throwing jerkbaits......goodness I miss those days! So many more fish and follows than there is now.
  17. I've caught some good browns there thru the years for sure. In fact my first ever 20 inch brown way back in like 1992 I caught out of the last brushpile there on a husky jerk. I always figured that eddy at the end past the waterfall gets loaded with dinky bow's during generation and the big browns could just come in and pick them off about anytime they cared to. That's cool about the Gerdy though, I hadn't realized that. Anytime I want to get my young daughter in fish I always head for that eddy at the end of the bluff and give her a jig with an orange head and it's about as automatic as anyplace on the lake for a kiddo to catch one it seems.
  18. Probably fell out of one of those brushpiles over there. Beautiful fish and cool story. Still going to invest some time one of these days to my bigger swimbaits and glidebaits down there. Maybe next week, we will see.
  19. were staying down lake past the landing. Not this weekend but the next. I'm really hoping they are still running two units then but I bet they aren't.....and I bet you want it to slow down ahahahha. We will have to see what we can do man.
  20. Were coming then also, agree hope it holds 😉
  21. By the way that's a great video Phil. Some quality bow's right there, that first one was a tank!
  22. I sure hope there are some in there still, I'm surprised one or two hasn't shown up this year yet
  23. My little Lithium came with the charger which was nice. it's so small i can charge it the boat or throw it on the kitchen counter. whatever is needed.
  24. can you post a picture of that? or email or text one?
  25. I didn't either until I started doing a bunch of research on them.
