  1. Wanting to sell my IRod Genesis II "Lone Star Special" casting rod. Rod is in excellent condition except for a few small scratches. 6'9", MH, 3/16-3/8oz baits and 6-12# line. Great rod, just not getting the use it deserves. This rod is super light and sensitive and perfect for spider jigs and finesse Texas rigs. Asking price is $110, located in the St. Louis area. Let me know if you have questions.
  2. Price drop to $125. Need to sell this

  4. Hey guys, I have a new custom rod coming in this week and I'm doing a little switching around with my reels. After much debate I've decided I'm parting with my Lew's Super Duty SD1S (5.4:1) This reel is in pristine condition with a couple of barely noticeable scratches and a little dust/dirt. I'm a firm believer in "take care of your stuff, and it will take care of you" and this reel is the proof. Reel comes with pink grip savers installed and is pre spooled with 65# power pro braid. Braid was used on 1 trip and is almost new (also comes with the remainder of the braid left after spooling the reel) I'll also toss in a rod sleeve for you of which you can choose between a standard length in pink (rod glove brand) or xl length in light brown (rod sox brand). Also, reel comes with original box and paperwork Price is $140 and I am located in the St. Louis area. Would consider a shipping/paypal sale if wanted and in which case you can check my feedback on Swimbait Underground or ebay under the same username. Shoot me a message at 314-369-1888 and I can send you some pictures. Also, I'll be listing a IRod Genesis II (Casting) and All-Star Classic (Spinning) rod very soon
  5. Hilarious. I think this guy is kidding honestly. Reminds me of Kenny Power's love for jet skis on HBO's East Bound and Down
  6. I'd really be interested in seeing a study on the mortality rates of these transported fish.
  7. I'll drink twelve beers from time to time and can't say trespassing on a boat, taking a crap and circling the empties around it has ever crossed my mind though! This guy must have been on hillbilly heroin or something. Regardless, score one for the good guys
  8. I used these quite a bit fishing for smallies in Canada, it worked well so I figure it will here too. I mainly used pink and orange heads with a black or silver 3" grub
  9. I don't have any problem with spending a lot of money on a lure if it has a proven track record and I have confidence in it, for instance a lot of the swimbaits I fish. That said I am not impressed with spybaits. I've fished the Duo a bit and found the hookup ratio to be horrible. Talked to a couple other guys with similar experiences. For the way this bait is fished I feel a countdown minnow is cheaper and works better
  10. Kind of freaky looking. I caught a couple largies in LOZ around 2006 with humpish looking backs but nothing that severe
  11. Perhaps consider one of the Okuma Big Bait Rods. They are considered economical and a good starting point for guys wanting to get in to bigger lures. Plus the Okuma warranty is great and the price:quality ratio is very good. Also consider the new Daiwa DX rods as an option. I haven't fished one but the buzz is good If seriously interested in bigger baits I suggest you check out Swimbait Underground as there is a wealth of knowledge over there
  12. I caught a 9-3 LM on the rock in '99 near Kimberling City on a Chug Bug. Haven't caught one there over 6 since then. Confident there are at least a couple teeners out there though.....somewhere lol
  13. They are making fliptails again I believe.
  14. This kind of makes me sick to my stomach
  15. Next time in StL check out Bogarts or Sugarfire, both are fantastic. OK Joes is great too though. I'm a big fan of BB in KC as well, the music and food are top notch
  16. Who makes that bait? I fish a similar Gliding Gizzard from High Power Herring
  17. All I'm saying is that if I encountered a seemingly unstable person with a gun I'm getting the hell out of dodge and calling the police, or if I felt people were trespassing and I was not in immediate danger then I would call the police.
  18. I've held off on commenting here but here is few things I've got: 1. In the case of this incident, I'm a firm believer that all parties were at fault, or at least certainly didn't do anything to alleviate the situation. 2. The floaters/drunkards can't and shouldn't be banned from the river, hell I've been on many floats over the years where I had a few to many. Its the same way on large lakes with fishermen complaining about jet skis and recreational boaters messing everything up, but at least the floaters aren't operating motor vehicles. 3. The number 1 problem I have with ANYBODY using our waters is littering. I'd rather see littering tickets given out to floaters than public intoxication tickets. Sadly, I have also seen fishermen litter as well

  20. Has anybody gotten a response back from CU? I spent 6 years in Springfield (College plus a couple years) and have fond memories of Fellows lake, and the guy that used to be at the marina was a pretty nice dude. Sad to hear all this.
  21. I don't post much so take my line suggestion however you like, but I've taken to using P Line PF Original on every rod I have except my frog rod and 1 dropshot/finesse rod. Been using using 6-30# depending on the setup and have no complaints
  22. Hey guys, I'm Kyle, I've been a lurker for a while but figured I may as well get active in these forums since there is so much good info and conversation. I enjoy all species/fishing styles but in the past couple years have become pretty obsessed with bass fishing using swimbaits/bigbaits. Looking forward to contributing to the forums!
