For Wild’s Sake: The Rare Trout Chronicles | Episode 2
ColdWaterFshr replied to BilletHead's topic in Trout Talk
Interesting video. Beautiful fish that I wasn't even aware existed. I did struggle a bit with the chick with the nose ring. She's all wadered up and yet fishing from a boat in the middle of a lake. ?? And using a fly-rod with heavy sink tip down to 40 ft deep. Why not a spinning rig with small jigs and split shot? -
I've met Griffin. He was one of the original, if not KING monkey dodo-disturbers. 😂

1926 Old Town Canoe restoration
ColdWaterFshr replied to ColdWaterFshr's topic in General Angling Discussion
Some more history on this canoe. My uncles dad, owned Hawkins Mill in Springfield on the old Kansas Expressway, and my uncle ran it for many years after. So his dad and Paul Mueller (Paul Mueller Co owner, where my dad worked for 40 years, the original Paul Dallas as we called him, not to be confused with Paul Mueller) were fishing buddies and used to go out fishing in this very canoe back in the day. Kinda cool. Anyway - thanks Gavin. Talked to Craig at T Hargroves and then his cousin who sounds very experienced in this kind of project as he did a 1927 Old Town Otca. Looking into getting this fine old boat restored. -
Hard to believe thats been almost 20 years ago. Thanks, Ness! So many good times and laughs. Those f'n duck hunters used to harass us terrible. Now I feel I've become one of them. 😄

Southwest Road Trip (there's a little fishing)
ColdWaterFshr replied to ness's topic in U.S.A. - South & West Regions
That looks spectacular. Tall Grass has my interest piqued and Santa Fe trail history is fascinating. Trying to figure out a way to make it work. We may just end up in Manhattan, KS instead. Daughter wants to check out K-State campus. -

Enjoyed reading that report, Ness. Love all the pictures and your adventures about them. Looking forward to our upcoming trip to Telluride. And very much looking forward to seeing the Flint Hills if only for a 24 hour stay on our way back. Thanks for the tips! -
Oh for the love of Pete. #helicopterparentofacollegeagedkid #strikethat, collegeagedADULT homeshcool! Or enroll her under lock and key to PragerU emergency reprogramming.🤣 There can be none of her own independent thought to figure out for herself. Crush it before she turns to Marxism!😆😆😜

My son is going to be a junior at Rolla this fall. Quite a bit less than Mizzou or Ark. A great value. MIT of the midwest they call it! I just hope he can survive Rolla for 2 more years. 🤣 Mitch - anti-Shakespeare professors?? Seriously - who cares? Compulsive outrage disorder is out of control these days. And in the grand scheme of things to be outraged about . . . its pretty silly. Right up there with the Critical Race Theory stuff that you act like is being crammed down the throats of impressionable young minds everywhere.

Scroll back to the top of this thread. Where you post a Tucker Carlson video, absolute KING of misinformation and hard-right political leanings, and you call me the political troll. Yeah, okay. Go slobber on your My Pillow. -

Yes, stumbling and slobbering and always glad to let loose a few queefs here in the back pew of the Tucker Carlson Adoration Chapel. Might even steal from the offering plate. 🤣 -
English degree? What are they going to do with that?? Become a professor?? 🤭

Don't go to college. These diversity programs and liberal professors will poison your mind. There is a solution. Homeschool! 🤣

Guess what? Tucker ain't high risk, but I guarantee you he and his wife and kids are vaccinated. As for this Malone guy, what is he really saying? That there isn't enough data to know for sure what the risks are for those who aren't high risk. Or that the government isn't being transparent? What would Dr. Malone suggest? A 5 year study before releasing it? And isn't that what Operation Warp Speed was all about, the project the Great Orange was trying to take full credit for, and is expecting a Nobel Prize for, wasn't that what it was all about? fast-tracking the process?? Can't have it both ways. Tucker is just continuing to give his brainless audience more of what they crave. Turd sandwiches. -
You guys have short memories. The Orange demanded that more stimulus money be handed out than was actually given. And don't forget the bank bailouts of 2008 and the auto industry bailout of the same year (under Bush). In hindsight, the auto industry bailout was a tremendous success, but the bankers got away with murder. I would agree that too much stimulus money has been doled out --- the unemployment benefits extended for far too long. But don't put this all on the current administration.
