  1. Nice discovery on Pandora today....
  2. Cheers. Same to you, T-Man. And warmest hollerday wishes to all here on OAF!
  3. No agent in their right mind would ticket you for working with a kid. I worked with my younger handicapped brother there and we were totally fine for a couple hours. Biggest problem was me not wanting to hand off the rod once I had a lunker hooked.πŸ˜†πŸ˜†
  4. I would agree with that -- at least as far as tailwaters go.
  5. Okay, I've only fished it a half dozen times. Don't know it well enough to know what is right there. I will say it is a frustrating and unpredictable flow, almost any time of year. But the fishing can be the absolute best when it is right.
  6. Beautiful shots.
  7. Even if it is to the benefit of the fishery? Those cutts look fat and healthy!
  8. There are some really good holes and habitat just down from Ackerman. Love that stretch better than some of the more popular water on the Norfork.
  9. I couldn't see it very clearly last night. Or maybe I was looking at the wrong thing. Is early in the evening the best? Southwestern sky?
  10. Sorry to hear these reports. I’ve known several extended family members who have really struggled and suffered. Fortunately, none that have died. Including my inlaws who came very close this past spring. Today, a good friend who is a dermatologist told me he thinks brought it home to his wife who is not in the best health, and she is not doing well at all. He is pretty sure he has it too. Anyone glad that we were given a false rosy picture back in March, just so we wouldn’t freak out? That we couldn’t handle truth? That we are not adult enough to take the necessary precautions and deal with it??? 320K and counting and 3k per day. and getting worse. I’m mad.
  11. Castlewood
  12. I missed going to Cards games this year
  13. Emmy Lou and the Hot Band
  14. We are lucky to have this treasure in our backyards Mitch. I have so many good shots of this same view. Occasionally see eagles over the river here.
  15. This duet is a hot mess, but it works on some level. The Ken Burns country music documentary is really good
  16. As FishnDave said, you really have to stay out of the water --- especially when it is low like in your video. That is probably why you didn't see any fish either. They head for cover and they are very good at hiding until you are long gone. The fish will cooperate though if you got your stealth and your presentation game going. They aren't too picky even. The spring is actually on the Salvation Army grounds in one of those ponds, so you can't go in there, but you can hike up to about a hundred yards of where the waterfall from the pond dumps in.
  17. That swinging bridge pic.....πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘
  18. Buck Owens left a solid impression on me through Hee Haw when I was 7 or 8. That red white and blue guitar was too cool. I remember flipping the 30 lb Sears Christmas catalog, looking for one. They were there, never did get one. Bakersfield sound? Yeah, I dig it .
  19. That is a surprise. Has a Syd Barrett quality to it.
  20. Yes, nice video. I have many hours logged on that creek and recognize almost all of those spots. A 12” fish is a lunker. Still love it though. who is the artist/band?
  21. Lawrence Welk and Hee Haw were the cornerstone of what we were forced to endure to watch in the early to mid-70's. Lawrence Welk and the Champagne Lady, wow, I don't know how I survived. Hee Haw at least kept my attention for the always buxom gals. And I will never forget this song. Gloom, despair, and agony on me-e! Deep dark depression, excessive misery-y! If it weren't for bad luck I'd have no luck at all! Gloom, despair, and agony on me-e-e!
  22. Agreed. I’m sure it appeals to some, but this is no longer sport fishing. And isn’t much different than throwing out a huge commercial type fishing net. Might be worse. No skill, no learned experience. Just watch your TV and dangle a lure until a fish gets perturbed enough. Video game fishing. Can do that at home at 1/1000th the cost and be just as bored. Knock yourselves out!
  23. Amazon link please. Christmas is coming for Paul Dallas
  24. That’s my next step. Any quiet models you can recommend?
