  4. Would not be surprised if you had actually talked to dad ata point as much as the two of you were down there. What was your first name?
  5. Since the niangua as my fathers favorite river it seems fitting to speak here. The niangua river will always hold the most special place in my heart. The river where my father taught me to fish and swim and love nature. He was a great steward of this river and always left it cleaner than when he arrived. He picked up trash and cans and fishing line each and very trip. The river mustve known that because it provided our family with fresh fish and the odd floating candy bar or soda frequently. We will miss my father dearly but we will see his smile reflected in the calming flow of his favorite place on earth. We will hear his voice echo through the hills and valleys from windyville all the way to tunnel dam and on to lake of the ozarks. We will hold his hand every night when the fireflies light up the river bank as we walk out of the stream. I will forever remember him in his fishing vest tracker hat and a black tee shirt tying my hook on for me as i looked up in admiration. I love you dad
  6. I won't be able to participate. My apologies for Lack of communication
  7. Saw this and immediately thought that it was animal rights climate change type people up too their usual shenanigans . i have eaten hundreds of fish my life from mo waterways and I am fine. Last I read our water was getting cleaner over all and farm run off was getting under control due to innovations in fertilizer and techniques.
  8. We'd be on pollys dock and hed pop up ans catch them right outta the same hole wed been fishing for hours ! Polly was the same way! Miss those days Sandy
  9. Stopped in at Bennett for a few hours yesterday. Caught a few decent fish. Chucked streamers in zone three most of the morning. Then met up with laker67/ Sandy at hatchery outflow area. She hooked a giant and lost it. We caught several small fish and a couple decent ones. Wish we had realized Sandy was there sooner. She isa hoot to fish with. My brother joined me ... He caught the big fish of the day . a nice twenty inch or so brown. Stripping a little streamer below the whistle bridge. Nice day
  10. Missouri they squeeze them out lol. I personally have helped three times
  11. Depends on the deadline... But I have wanted to participate in these for years.
  12. RR is slow this time of year but fishes pretty good. Nice to chat with you and see your meticulously organized wet fly box. I lack in the organizational aspect. Also sorry you fell down the streamer rabbit hole 😆 I can't get out of it. Move some big fish
  13. Also forgot to mention a guy was spin fishing said he had hooked a 30 inch rainbow two days before. . . won't say where but he seemed credible.
  14. I need to know the Mr T joke though ... 😆
  15. After you guys left I went up stream and moved three monster briwns and caught one that was eight inches long. The one was right where buzz said hed be 😆 huge. Probably 24 inches. Came all the way out of the water with my barely legal. I jerked it clean out of his mouth. Hit it again but whiffed. Then moved up further to that spring and moved a big female probably twenty inches. Then moved up again and moved another big male which again ame plumb out of the water twice. Then a rain bow swooped in and hit it. Weird day good to see you guys and too meet tjm
  16. Be careful there is a big tree down in the road on way to lower access
  17. Over cast and low uv index with elevated dirty water .... Good conditions
  18. I will be throwing big streamers again this year. Tied some just for small creeks so maybe ill find a big brown.
  19. That's enough to win most years 😆
  20. Ill see you then looks like we may get some rain leading up so won't get pressured as bad. Like it a little dirty anyway 😆
  21. You know I have to agree with this. Even if you have an outlet too yourself to sight fish eventually some rear end will slide in and disrupt the whole ordeal. About halfway between two and three you can really do some work.
  22. See you then sir
  23. Whats the word on your annual get together?
  24. They stock rainbow regularly but browns are hit or miss. If you really work the creek there are always some in there.
  25. Jesterhk was just talking about this. Wish i could come but looks like no dice. Really gonna have to make it to one of these
