BS is getting to the level that it takes a lot of water to raise the lake level vertically. As of right now, (6/25; 8am), BS is 686.47 which 24.8 ft into the flood pool and 8.5 ft. below top of flood pool. However, BS is at 70% storage. So 30% of BS flood storage occurs in the remaining 8.5 ft.

They (USACE) are predicting BS to crest at 688.0. As of now (6/24; 3 pm), it is 686.26 ft.

Members of the Twin Lakes Walleye club have been catching Walleye for several weeks now. Walleye are being caught around 30 ft deep near points in most cases. Most have been bottom bouncing, trolling crankbaits/jerkbaits, or trolling with a Carolina rig.

The high water ramp at Lead Hill is open. I was at the Tucker Ramp last week. You can put in there but there isn't much parking.

I once had two of the Jointed Unicorns.... noticed I said had..... They were awesome. You could reel them at any speed and they would wake. Im still searching for more..

Do you always use the regular Redfin and not the jointed Redfins? I wish you didn't have to buy 10 to 20 just to get one that runs right.

I would say the water is about 1/3 of the way up that ramp. It would be usable if there aren't a lot of people using it because there is little area to turn around.

The Dam Access is in the parking lot so it is pretty much unusable. Lakeview Access is closed. The AGFC Access at Bull Shoals Lake Boat Dock will be closed at roughly 674. You have to launch off the road at the Oakland Access. Hopefully one day between the USACE and us (AGFC), we will get a high water ramp constructed on the lower end of the lake.

2017 was pretty close to this week.

USACE is predicting Beaver Lake will crest at 1124.5 ft on May 6th. That prediction came at 9:31 am, today (5/1) so things could change.

Fishing should be good while you are here. We boated over 50 fish last Thursday on Bull. Lots of fish shallow.

Yep, Norfork typically is a week to two weeks earlier than Bull Shoals. When we sample Walleye and Bass, we sample Norfork first and then wait a week or so to begin sampling Bull Shoals.

I don't have an answer for that one. However, I would guess they should be successful at some point based off how many spawn in the main lake.

The Walleye will be spawning over the next few weeks on Norfork. There are two types of Walleye spawners on Norfork. Some Walleye will run up the major feeder creeks to spawn on or near the first shoal. Other Walleye will spawn on the main lake. Those are the ones we will target when sampling down by the dam. We will be conducting our annual sample on Norfork Lake, next week. We usually sample when the water temperature is between 52 and 55. If you are interested in fishing for Walleye on Norfork Lake, I would suggest joining the Twin Lakes Walleye Club.
