We were at the lake this last Thursday thru Tuesday. I only got to fish for about 5 hours on Monday. The only time that we, the wife and I, are there on the weekends is for my Birthday. Funny story there, the family always wanted to take me out to eat here in the city, someplace fancy, so the wife and I started going to the lake a little before my Birthday so that we could politely decline the go out and eat deal. Next thing you know the whole family started showing up at the lake!!! Love to spend time with the grown kids, it doesnt get much better than that in my book. We are dealing with motor issues on the boat and between figuring that out and having the whole family down for that time made it really tough to get much fishing in!! I quickly remembered why I don't really care much for the weekend crowd. Hopefully we get the motor issue figured out so that I can get back to fishing instead of messing around. There's my rookie post also!!

Glad to see that you are getting the opportunity to pursue your passion. Not sure that you remember me Ed, but I am the one that you talked to in the parking lot of the hotel that you was staying at down at Stockton. I very much enjoyed talking to you, and I still thank you for the time spent talking about walleye fishing. I learnt a lot in that 30 minute conversation, and if your clients enjoy fishing, and learning from a guy that loves what he is doing, I am sure that you will be successful. Best of luck to you.

Was down at Stockton Friday and Saturday with the wife, didnt have much luck on catching crappie or walleye. Had a guy at the RB ramp Friday tell me that he got some minnows at Mutton Creek Marina . Got up Saturday morning and headed to Mutton to get some minnows, to help me with my success rate Got all the way down there and that place was shut up and looked like they hadnt been open in a while !! Dont know why somebody would tell me that, surely he wasnt trying to lead me astray!!

Thanks to all for your suggestions. We just got back from a great week down at Bull Shoals,well actually 6 days. We stayed at the Wagon Wheel,,,,had the Blue Waters Resort as second choice along with Big Creek Resort. We did the drive by on Tuesday to check out the other 2 and decided to stay at the Wagon Wheel the whole time. really liked the layout there the best. The rooms were nice and clean, loved being able to park my boat right next to the cabin that we stayed in, and with the campgrounds right there we were able to walk and get exercize. The owners were great and very easy to get along with!! Sure wish that I woulda asked for some fishing tips, but thats ok we,, ( wife skunked me one day) caught fish everyday that we were there, not too many, but at least we caught fish !! BEAUTIFUL Lake and scenery !! Thanks agian for the suggestions, much appreciated

Smally doesnt really matter,,,,,,,,aarchdale that is where we stayed last time and yes the owners are very nice! Was a great place to stay,,, but sorta like fishing..... hate to go to the same place everytime With this being only our second time down there was just wondering where else there might be a place like that..... in another area of the lake.

Finally getting some free time in the next couple weeks and want to come down to Bull Shoals to do some fishing with my fishing partner, the wife We normally fish Stockton, but went to Bull Shoals about 3 years ago and have been wanting to get back down there. Can anybody suggest a good place to stay ? I have my own boat, so would need a place to launch, a place to charge up the battieries, and a nice place to stay. Thanks for any suggestions.
