Wally Cleaver aka Tony Dow died on Weds the 27th leaving Theodore Cleaver aka Jerry Mathers all alone. I will admit the Leave it to Beaver was a bit before my time though I watched enough episodes to understand the characters. Probably the highlight from the cast was Barbara Billingsley speaking jive in the Airplane. A very funny scene. Gee Wally folks are going to miss ya.

That's an awesome musky! Congrats on a catch of a lifetime!

No selfies with the bison. We don't want to see you in a YouTube video🤣

Congrats on your brookie DJ. They are one of the nicest looking fish around in my opinion.

My wife was using a wrought iron chair to support this tomato plant. Seems that the tomato needed something to hold onto. Now it seems that it doesn't want to let go 🤣 Yes the fruit grew around that decorative part of the chair 😉

Lots if golden and white fish lately. I would love to catch one myself. This smallmouth would be great! https://www.ourmidland.com/news/article/Angler-Catches-Ultra-Rare-Golden-Smallmouth-17319864.php

You know I am all for feral cat control😉!

I read an article about a year or so ago that there has been an increase in neighborhood cats being killed by EVs. I'm sure as you mentioned that other animals collisions will increase as well.

One of those green trout, aka stinkin bass 🤣! Sounds like a fun day catching fatty bows! Far better than my day at work😉

June/July so far Fishing Out East
Johnsfolly replied to Johnsfolly's topic in U.S.A. - North & East Regions
We actually use them in our testing. I still need to catch a fathead minnow, which is another common test species for us. I have a spot or two in KS and MO to try when we are out there next week. -
June/July so far Fishing Out East

It's not as hot out here as in the midwest, but it was a hot one yesterday. We fished a brackish water pond targetting rainwater killifish in a nature area about 35 mins from us. Been trying to make the time to fish this location, but they close the gates at 5 pm making it tough to get there after work. Since I had heard that the killifish may be fewer and shy, Livie was fishing a larger hook and bait set-up and was trying to run interference with the larger and more active fish. She was seeing a lot of fish. When I got there I saw a lot of sheepshead minnows and a few that I assumed were the killies. So as luck would have it my first caught fish was a rainwater killifish 😁. Getting the target on the first cast doesn't happen very often but not looking that gift horse in the mouth. Livie caught a nice female sheepshead minnow. We saw a male rainwater and he bit the bait once then lost interest. Livie did catch her lifer rainwater female not long after 😁. Sue was fishing on the other bank and landed her first documented mummichog 😉. We fished until Livie caught a nice male sheepshead or we collapsed from the heat. Fortunately it was the sheepshead minnow😉. We also found a rod and reel combo that was in good condition. I have reached out to the guy that told us about this pond to see if he lost anything on his last trip. -
Great report Rick and great memories made with you family! I also love the rope photo😁

You'll catch fish on a lot of those baits Rick! Thanks for the photos👍

That's where I buy my photo bags. For as many as I have purchase, they insist on trying to pass those off as bags of lip gloss 🤣. I buy paints and clear coat for my rapalas

But do you remember yesterday?😉 Seems to be my problem lately 🤣

I did a self exam on my car battery and found two lumps. I had them tested and one came back positive. I hope that it's not terminal!🤣 I got a full tank of gas for only $22. It was for my lawn mower, but I am trying to stay positive! 🤣
