  1. I know this is in here somewhere. I ask my doctor about my test results. He tells me he has bad new and worse news. I said what's the bad news. He tells me that I only have 24 hours left to live. I said that is pretty bad news. Since I can't imagine anything worse than that I ask him to tell me the worse news. He says I should have called you yesterday🤣
  2. Knew that one but still makes me laugh! But hey I'm easy to get a laugh😉
  3. Pretty sure that is the White below Bull Shoals dam. In case you're not trolling, Phil is the owner of this forum as well as Lilley's Landing in Branson.
  4. Congrats Pat on a great day yesterday and have a happy bday today!
  5. That's a nice spot Jeff. The broken stripes to me would be more indicative to a hybrid and not a pure striper. Nice fish regardless!
  6. Congrats on a nice bass!
  7. Hey Jeff The state of Washington closed all steelhead fishing in 2022. https://www.foxnews.com/great-outdoors/washington-closes-steelhead-fishing-population-concerns
  8. @Ham congrats on a great multispecies trip! Lots of healthy looking fish!
  9. I'm back to driving straight into the sun right now. Had a reprieve for a couple of weeks until the time change. When we lived in N. Ireland during the winters I would drive into work in the dark and then drive home in the dark. It was then I realized why many Irish drink😅.
  10. Sorry to hear that.
  11. You can always take photo of the photo.. Just saying....
  12. Used to see a fair number of guys below Truman trying to snag a few.
  13. @nomolites that's an awesome halibut!
  14. I didn't see a photo, but may give you a pass 😉
  15. Photos or it didn't happen 😉! I have eaten paddlefish and it's decent enough to keep one. I just want to catch one myself since they are in my mind a pretty cool species. Closest I came were my buddy's catches while he and I fished LOZ together a few years back. The large one went over 70 lbs. I don't recall what his other keeper weighed. I snagged a 5 lb blue cat (not photo so maybe I imagined it 😅) and bumped a few paddlefish. Yeah he outfishes me on musky as well 😅
  16. Congrats Jeff sounds like you guys had a great time.
  17. I would love just a small 6 to 7 ft sturgeon. Or any of the Missouri/Mississippi species would be great.
  18. I just entered what I ate today into my food app. It just had an ambulance sent to my house!🤣 I bought a pair of shoes from a drug dealer. I don't know what he laced them with but I have been tripping all day!🤣
  19. Report of a giant paddlefish or spoonbill caught in Oklahoma. Over 100 lbs, that's a big fish. https://www.fieldandstream.com/fishing/oklahoma-anglers-catch-giant-paddlefish/?amp=#amp_tf=From %1%24s&aoh=16473389421490&csi=0&referrer=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.google.com I haven't snagged one but I know that @Seth targets paddlefish. What's the largest paddlefish caught by an OAF member?
  20. As I have grown older, I remember all of the people that were lost along the way. Maybe my budding career as a tour guide was not the right choice 🤣 A man walks into an enchanted forest and tries to cut down a talking tree. "You can't cut me down." The tree exclaims. "I'm a talking tree!" The man responds, "You may be a talking tree, but you will dialogue!"🤣
  21. Thanks Dave. We got skunked on crappie which was our target. I'm hoping that someone hasn't done a good job at cleaning them out from this small pond.
  22. In Ireland they would say that you were never more than 25 ft from a rat in any town or city larger than a small village. Personally, I prefer the spiders 😉. I have walked back from many a night time small creek fishing trip and have been amazed at the number of spiders that I would see with the LED head lamp. It was lucky that Livie was not on those trips or else she would never go back out again.
  23. Seems like we are about a day to a day in an half of what is going on in the midwest. Because of the buffering from the bay we don't get as harsh a time than you guys might.
  24. I shot a deer with my .308 that was at the base of my 15 foot ladder stand. Bullet went through both lungs, but that deer ended up 60 to 70 yds away and had crossed a fence somehow. Similar to @Terrierman she wasn't hard to find since there was a 2 to 3 ft swath of blood to follow. Best that I could tell is the the energy of the bullet didn't fully dissipate in the deer since she wasn't more than 18 ft from me.
