Congrats on catching some fish and for actually posting about fishing on a fishing forum !

That would happen to me mostly when I was fishing floating Rapalas in the Current. I like to bounce those baits off the rocks during the retrieve which pounds on the knot. Vanish fluorocarbon line was the worse. If I didn't retie every 10 to 12 casts I would throw the lure. Thankfully most of the time I was casting upstream and they would float down to me. Other times they would sail into the woods🙄.

I actually liked that movie 😅! Had a baby blue Pinto in High school. When it was cold it wouldn't go in reverse. I said that was a safety feature since how fast could I push it backwards 😉. When you own a Pinto, folks point out other Pintos. I know that I have mentioned this story on here somewhere before. I once saw a Pinto with flames painted from the back of the car. He had a bumpersticker above the license plate that said "if you get too close...." and his license plate was KABOOM. I also saw a Pinto that was jacked up about 3 feet and had monster tires.

I'm assuming that the conversation went back to the politics forum. I don't see going onto that forum since I have enough stress in my life already. Besides it may not be much to see, since I probably have already chosen to ignore half the folks posting there !

There are a lot more local outfitters/guides that are only on Facebook and not setting up traditional websites. So much so that I am mulling setting up an account .

Nice crappie as always! Sounds like being able to access your previous trip information is really helpful in finding that productive pattern. I haven't really had any home waters over the last few years and have dropped keeping more descriptive records than just tracking dates, species, numbers of fish and baits that they were caught on.

My son loves Birch beer. We have picked up some of the PA Dutch band BB the last time we were in Allentown a few weeks ago. Usually get the Kutztown brands since they were closer to my wife's family.

Except that lots of folks have personalized masks. Some even light up like those sneakers. Heard about some guys being caught after mugging someone due to the flashing lights on their shoes !

I have to get used to the differences in temps here. Were we live is buffered by large bodies of water, the Chesapeake bay and the Atlantic ocean, on both sides of us. So our temps are fairly mild. It's at least 20 to 25 deg colder right now in the mountains of western MD. I hope that we can get in a little ice fishing out that way this year for pike and yellow perch.

Hey you got out and fished. I should have fished my backyard after we had another heavy rain (makes 5 straight weeks for a heavy rain either Thurs or Friday that blows out the creeks) . The water extends out to the tan line in the woods in that first photo. It was close to being up to my knees when we blood trailed my doe. Deeper than that now. The lake that I wanted to fish the last two weekends is 4 hours away and was 33 deg with a feels like temp of 21 deg on Sat and had a high temp expectation of 24 deg on Sunday with a 12 to 15 mile per hr wind. Was not going to get my daughter and wife to go along with standing out in that weather. So no fishing again this weekend.

Yesterday breakfast Dutch baby pancake and hickory smoked bacon. This morning was an egg, Swiss, and bacon sammich on everything bagel.

I really like fried zucchini and cauliflower.

Hey when you have that prostaff wear you have to deliver😉! You may have to give back that shirt buddy. Sounds fun even if the fishing was off.

Sounds good. Could give them some char marks before putting them in foil. May draw out some bitterness though. May have to give that a try.

Carbon monoxide is more toxic than Carbon dioxide since it can out compete oxygen for the active sites on hemoglobin. So in a carbon monoxide rich environment your body will suffocate.

The problem with all of the arguments presented here is that you are thinking in absolutes. Wearing a mask minimizes the amount of drolets coming from you for example if you sneeze. It does not fully eliminate those droplets. Droplets from an unmasked sneeze will carry beyond six feet but a masked one does not. Thus you are protecting others if you wear a mask AND social distance. The masks and face coverings that most of us have access to or actually wear do not effectively filter out virus sized particles. So there cannot be a claim that you are 100 percent safe while wearing a mask. Take a look at disinfectant sprays. None will ever state that they kill 100% of all germs and instead state 99.9%. But hey free country for now. Believe what you want to believe.

Found some funny theories on the true purpose of the objects.

Simple dish tonight. Seared venison tenderloins in a cast iron skillet. Only salt and pepper seasoning. Steamed turnips and Ceasar salad. Simple but delicious.

I think that they are getting more chef attention like chicken wings have and that popularity has driven up the prices. Wings can often be more expensive than legs and thighs. Wasn't always that way.

@laker67 sounds like a great day even though there were no lunkers landed. Did they all hit one or two baits or a variety of baits?
