  1. Awesome @bferg on catching some with your daughter! Nothing like a double bass photo with dad! Keep up the good work!
  2. I'm finding it hard to get the Rapala floaters especially F9 to F11. PM me if you might want to sell some Gavin.
  3. Panfish Lives Matter! 😁 I personally can't take "Germam browns" when refering to brown trout. Maybe in 1890 there were still some being stocked from Germany.
  4. I was going to say that they are as bad as fishing around longears but @FishnDave hasn't caught one of those yet and I didn't want to be insensitive 😁!
  5. Looks like a great trip @Ham. Really like that blacktail shiner as well.
  6. I do know a guy that catches them routinely in MD šŸ˜‰. They commonly get in the way of catching new species.
  7. An immunologist and a cardiologist are kidnapped. The kidnappers threaten to shoot one of them, but promise to spare whoever has made the greater contribution to humanity. The cardiologist says, ā€œWell, I’ve identified drugs that have saved the lives of millions of people.ā€ Impressed, the kidnappers turn to the immunologist. ā€œWhat have you done?ā€ they ask. The immunologist says, ā€œThe thing is, the immune system is very complicated ā€¦ā€ And the cardiologist says, ā€œJust shoot me now.ā€
  8. You're just baiting me cuz you know that I hate that entire scene😠

    What's Cooking?

Pissed off Morimoto that Flay stood on the cutting board. I used to watch Iron Chef at 11 pm. I would tell my wife about this competition cooking show out of Japan. Loved the Chinese Iron Chef. He cut everything with his cleaver. That time slot was where I used to watch a high energy Portuguese chef cooking Cajun style food. BAMM!! Anyone remember the show where they would go into different neighborhoods and have a chef cook a gourmet meal from what was in that person's fridge? They did a show when they brought over the Japanese Iron Chefs to America.
  10. That was a great day! Nice smallies!
  11. Nice bass buddy! Getting some good use out of that kayak for sure.
  12. Glad you made it out ok. Any nice fish caught prior to almost losing your life? I fished a creek in Oklahoma where my buddy said that they could get flash flooding 2 to 3 feet above the bank which was 15 feet above where we were fishing at the time.

    What's Cooking?

Have you been to any of the featured restaurants? I've been to a couple. I like the Shaved Duck in St Louis best out of the ones we have tried!

    What's Cooking?

Soft core food porn right there my friend.
  15. Too St Louis centric for me. Did get number 8 since A&W uses that jingle everywhere.
  16. Hammerheads and their kin are just a cool fish. Closest I came to catching one was my brother landing a small bonnethead shark.
  17. I like mako, but their populations were in a state of decline. The Atlantic sharpnose sharks we caught in VA were both abundant and delicious.
  18. I just want to catch one . I also have heard about them being used for fish and chips. I have eaten a couple of the sustainable shark species. I liked them. We didn't keep the spiny dogfish that my wife caught back in March. Maybe I'll keep one and let you know how it is if I actually can keep one on the hook.
  19. This procedure albeit with a slightly different system is one of the recommended ways of releasing those deep water bottom fish that @Quillback was talking about. Actually his moniker i believe - a quillback rockfish as well as other rockfish. To answer @fishinwrench a little further, not all fish have air or swim bladders. For example, a shark pulled from the depths would not have this issue since it is primarily their livers that provide buoyancy and not a gas filled bladder.
  20. Congrats on catching my kind of bass!
