    What's Cooking?

Nope. I took this last night. The one you sent me has been deleted from my phone. I would have posted it if I still had it. Sorry buddy.
  2. Hey if you find out where to get those signs let me know I could use them. I haven't seen many deer in the spots I have been hunting lately.

    What's Cooking?

Last night we had cod, fried mushrooms, and spinach. I seasoned the fish with S&P, fresh lemon juice, a light coating of ranch dressing, and topped with tarragon. Baked at 375 until the meat begins to flake and the topping was brown. I picked up some oyster mushrooms from our local Asian market and coated them with a special coating that I learned from a poster from this forum. Not confirming if this really is the special coating ! Not likely that the poster will tell me anymore secret recipes (... Terrierman). Spinach was just sauted, S&P, and a little garlic powder. Since I used all of our ranch on the fish, I found a recipe and we made our own dressing for the mushrooms !
  4. Griz thanks for posting. Very inspirational. Makes me consider about how am I living lately and whether I am the best that I can be each day. A lot to think about.
  5. That must mean that people were cleaning out any and all fish that they caught. I'll admit though drastic it's probably better for the diversity on the reef. Does make for a better snorkelling and diving experience.
  6. Now I know who to blame when I go to RRSP and there are people fishing in my pool. Thanks a lot! You even got the state to call it a trout park. Now everyone knows you can catch trout there. What's next are they going to post signs on what types of lures and bait that they will bite like in this section use flies only?!? Thats almost as bad as MODOT putting up those deer crossing signs in the spot where the deer can get hit by cars. Never understood why they don't move the deer crossings to a safer place for the deer. ☺
  7. I watched this one the other night - Sutherland, Nimoy, Goldblum, Adams, and Cartwright.
  8. You're not the only one on this forum whose mother has a Koi pond. There's a fly fisherman on here that has caught some of her koi as well☺.
  9. Ness are getting a bunch of heroes to grab some Nazi gold? You'll need a tank☺.
  10. Just think what you could have done with a Barbi zebco rod and reel and a little squid while snorkelling☺.

    What's Cooking?

I don't believe that we have any restaurants around us that still make there own potstickers. I can't seem to get an authentic recipe. Maybe I need to buy more HiDEF craws☺!
  12. Thanks for the invite RPS. It would be an honor to fish with you. I should know whether I can make it down in March in the next couple of weeks.
  13. Those are very nice winter bass. You made the right decision to tough out the cold. Congrats!

    What's Cooking?

We like all kinds of peas. Fresh sugar peas are our favorites followed by snow peas. Frozen peas can be tricky. I seem to always looking over my shoulder as I am eating frozen peas☺.
  15. We had some hairy experiences sampling lakes in PA during winter. We sampled during the day and again at night. To use our sampling gear we had to cut a 2 by 3' hole in the deepest part of the lake. One windy and moonless night my partner lost his footing and went onto the ice. It was so slick that the wind easily blew him across the lake towards the sampling hole. He stopped just as his feet went into the hole. The debris from opening the hole provided just enough friction to get him to stop. Being safe has be a major concern whenever you are on a frozen lake.
  16. What if Ness comes to take a pea☺? You kick him in the ice hole as well?!?
  17. You know that I am all about helping fellow fishermen. If it means that I have to catch shad so they have real life examples for their paint jobs, then who am I to deny them the opportunity to look at the fish that I catch☺!
  18. Et tu Daryk!?! I've been known to catch some larger bass on occassion. I won't say that I wouldn't get distracted by trying to catch a warmouth or a gar or shad☺.
  19. The BassPro here in Columbia often sells ice fishing gear, rods, reels, jigs, etc. Good luck if you get out and stay safe.
  20. Congrtas on a great hunt! The dogs look content and those teal should be pretty tasty.

    What's Cooking?

My Betterhalf made a crock pot bourbon chicken recipe using chicken thighs. Served it with rice and store bought potstickers.
  22. Depending upon work and whether I could get an open spot on a boat I would like to join in.
  23. That was a hungry fish!
  24. Who could pass up being given a half dozen microsuckers to smoke and put on toast? That sounds like a great incentive to me ☺!
  25. Oneahot - I will likely get back down that way at least one or more times in Jan. Have to PM you when I am heading back your way. Need to get on a sucker or two, I'm even willing to give them to a local guide willing to show me how to consistently catch them, if you know what I mean☺!
