  1. I believe that there are more not reported, the most important detail is that they are released back into the lake. Used to see stringer shots on the wall at the old fall creek dock glad to see catch and release being the norm I myself am a convert.
  2. Great job and a walter to boot congrats
  3. That looks like a humpback whale nice fish congrats
  4. Just back from Erie last night caught 46 Sunday and Monday, our take off day Tuesday we caught 37 left about noon. We used weight forward spinners and mayfly spinners half crawlers. 6 of us the captain and mate had a great trip
  5. You are correct that is the place thank you
  6. Thought you guided out of there didn’t you use to guide on Taney? May have you cornfused with someone else my bad.
  7. Thanks limitout we stayed over at your place next to the mile long bridge not sure if that was your wife that was about 8 months along but it’s been a few years
  8. Several years ago mdc tried to grow some vegetation on the flat by mutton creek it grew for a while held fish but ultimately failed I think they had to sink them in pots so they could grow don’t know if that might be left over from that or not.
  9. We had a good day Friday started about noon and had 12 keepers by about 6 mainly on bb 16-20 feet, Saturday and Sunday was quite a bit harder with the rain and wind we ended up with 21 for the weekend caught a lot of shorts and a few crappie sorry for the delay.
  10. Going up there 21-23 out of Oak Harbor wild wings is the harbor we had a great trip last year and traditionally every 5 years but met a great captain and got hooked will let you know how we do
  11. Thanks for the update will be there this weekend between bottom bouncing and pulling cranks hope to pick a few up. Heading to Lake Erie in a few weeks for some really good walter fishing
  12. Sounds like you had a good time thought you might have fished the lazy valley tourney a few weeks back the boys finally got beat by their dads by 7 pounds it was a thumping but it was a tough bite all day tell your dad I said hello and see you on the water
  13. Nice walters surprised you didn’t catch any whites
  14. Used to take a trip to the pothole about this every year, usually coincided with MDC doing the night shocking for brood stocking. I am not sure temp is the key to trigger spawn but suspect a combination of day length and temp play an important key plus not all of them spawn at the same time but over several weeks, just my 2 cents wished I lived closer and knew the area better because the walleye fishery on the rock is really picking up.
  15. Travis I lost a brown last year over 9 took it to Phil and they had it in their tank 7 hours everybody thought it would make it but it didn’t it leaves you with a bad guilty feeling but like everybody says it happens don’t beat yourself up just be thankful for the fishery we are lucky to have.
  16. Nice job Phil chivalry is not dead
  17. Nice video congrats on finally catching a fish over 3 . Welcome to the club Marsha at lazy valley said you turned from the dark side to the realm of bait guys we missed you last weekend at lazy valley our group of 4 boats finished in the top 4 spots and cashed out, my brother and I finished 4th but he had a fish on that would have put us in first but came off 15 ft behind the boat it was over 6. Coulda woulda shoulda we all had 2 fish over 3 pounds had a great time.
  18. That is a brute nicely done
  19. Congrats on a great trip!
  20. Nice fish last week was our families time share and we managed to land 15 fish over 3 pounds the largest was a 9.1 brown Phils' crew worked for 6 hours and we thought he would make it but I recived a call about 8 that night he didn't. That fish wasn't a triploid my grand nephew caught a 7.1 brown on sunday and I wish I had noticed whether it was a triploid, we released that one much to his remorse but we went up to the office and he got a pin and certificate and that made it ok. Our family have done well on our summer trips but never this well we are bait fisherman so please forgive us one 4 pounder went to north dakota and my brown are the only 2 lost to this amazing fishery.

I am headed up to Duluth to see Thomas the Train with my grandsons we need to get together and can show you the pictures of our best week ever on taney, I am a bait guy but my son likes to buggy whip except during tournaments.

  22. That is cool I really enjoy his shows also and I am a lab guy so I wonder if he brought Raven? Tell him he has a good following in Mo. and looks like he has had some good success already.
