here we go again. bash tourney fisherman, Its funny though you guys will fish the tourney this site is putting on. Get a life. Not all tourney fisherman are bad people. Some of you who bash tourney fisherman used to do it back in the day when you didnt have the resources we have today to keep them healthy in the live well, and lost many fish. You know who your are, i wont mention any names

Bo you are right. The cor made a mess out of all the ramps by putting that stupid rock everywhere. Campbell point is the worst. many props distroyed there. The big rocks they put around that ramp are pushed onto the ramp under water from wakes
-
At least they picked the right time of year to do it, and during the week. Give them a break. At least they are working for a living. Now if was those big wake boats tied up it would be a different story lol.

Merc, you don't need to prove nothing to me. Re read my post. I don't think I was offending anyone.
-
Your probably right merc. Sorry............................................

You all talk about the bass like its the only fish in the lake. So lets take a look at other fish like crappie and white bass. The limit on them are in the teens. People take 30 to 50 a day out of the lake. Then go back for more, and guess what, there are just as many of those fish year after year. Table Rock has plenty of bass. I believe that they are getting smarter to the lure and line and harder to catch. Yes moving them off of the bed is not a good thing but I believe many more still spawn. There's a'lot of small fish in the lake so that tells me they are spawning, not all but plenty are. Fozzype probably had the best post so far on this board. He was not complaining and just giving some good info. A two week lake closer sounds like the best idea yet. EVEN FROM PLEASER FISHERMAN...... That way most fish can spawn. Plus I don't think most tourney fisherman would complain either. At leased that way pleaser and tourney fisherman can meet in the middle. Even though it seems like on these posts that the biggest complainers come from pleaser fisherman. Yes tourney fisherman can be a pain, but its not going to change soon. I believe that most tourney fisherman do care about the fishery. Yes there are some bad apples under the tree, but that goes both ways too.

If you got eight years out of them I would stay with them. Never had any brand last that long.

I'm a Lews man. Let me tell you why. I bought a couple of reels from them last summer (been with Lews for years now). After a few nights of using one of these orange crush reels it started to have a problem with grinding (its the only time I have had a issue with a Lews). Well with Lews being local in Springfield I decided to take it back to see if there was anything that could be done with it. Jim at the Sportsman Outlet took it next door to Lews. Lews took the reel and replaced parts and made sure it was in good shape within 15 minutes of being there, no questions asked, no charge. This is great service and an easy way to get things done. No shipping back or waiting a few weeks for returns.

Plan on fishing the Rock this weekend. Noticed lake up around 3 foot. Does anyone know if the is any mud coming from the rivers?
-
I hate to say it, but with the way that deer acted and the way is body looks he may have that wasting disease

I figured you were anti tourney fishinwrench by your posts but I'm glad you have done some and that shows you know what your talking about. But when it comes to cheating, it comes in all forms of life no matter what it is. You have people who steal, rob, and lie everywhere. It's gonna happen. It happened a while back in the BASS. So now can someone tell me more about measuring style of scoring, how does the tail lay, pinched or wide open, and so on.

Anyone see this? This guy is off his rocker.

He used to be the editor and writer at the Republic Monitor years ago. Now you know why they got rid of him. -
This topic can be argued for ever. Blame the tournament fisherman, blame the pleaser fisherman. The truth is that there are always some bad apples in the tree. We all need to take care of our catch. If there's one person on this forum that can say he has never killed a fish while fishing is a lair. Back in the good old days there was no such thing as G-Juice or stay alive, ice in live wells and so on. They killed many fish back then. More than now. The best thing we can do is keep up the awareness and help each other with solutions. Some fisherman try real hard at keeping fish healthy, while others don't care. That's the world we live in, jerks are among us. It's like driving down the road, how many dead animals (hit by cars) you see because us humans are to DAM lazy to slow down or pay attention.

The Ned rig did it. I seen more fish die from that bait due to the fact the fish can eat it so fast and swallow it.
-
We are the intruders. WE moved into their territory years ago. Nice to see nature coming back
-
yea the bass tourneys probably do kill a few fish. But lets not mention how many crappie are taking from the lake in a day. And some full of eggs. We are all in the same boat. We all fish cause we like it and species should break us apart.

Getting the green algae stain off my boat?
slowbait replied to Sore Thumbs's topic in Table Rock Lake
use windex to get it off the next day. works great -
If you need more info PM me and I can help you. I help with that tourny
-
I have seen a few around Shell Knob area. Not really sick fish but long and skinny. But with the fishing pressure on this lake I bet every fish has been caught two or three times, making them scared to eat thinking there may be a hook in their meal. Fish are getting smart.
-
You are absolutely right. The river is a great place to fish. No you can't have it to yourself. lol I just thought I would change the subject cause I for one get tiered of seeing tournys getting bashed all the time. The James does seem to hold bigger fish though.
-
Like i said, its just my opinion, I maybe wrong
-
If there is something that needs to be complained about, lets start at the beginning. What keeps the fish thriving? GOOD WATER CONDITIONS. Table Rock is getting so much like the Lake of the Ozarks. Big boats, human trash along the bank including dock parts, and all the dirty nasty water that comes from the James that Springfield provides. Also, the next time you see that ugly green moss and alga running down from the top of a bluff, LOOK UP !!!!!! I bet you will see a house or someones septic tank not working right. Someone tell me how rocks can obsorb laterall line runoff. These issues are just as important (if not more) to many off us. But harder to do anything about. There are few of us on this form compared to how many fish Table Rock. So, just like a teacher of a classroom,. If each of us on this form could educate a handful of fisherman on how to take care of fish, it will spiro to others. That we can do something about. Just my opinion.
-
Seems like once a month that this issue comes up. Why are we always bashing tourny fisherman? Cause they are an easy target. You pleaser fisherman can not tell me that you have not ever killed a fish by a deep hook set. Many of the tourny fisherman go beyond to keep their fish healthy. Plus we try to educate rather than complain. Yes there are some bad apples in the tree. But it goes both ways. Merc is trying to help people keep fish healthy. He is helping rather than complaining about tournys. Tournament fishing is not going away. So lets help educate rather than complain.
