  1. (Tournament Pros are sold) Thanks Randy. I’ll take good care of them and hope to add to their storied history. Appreciate the generous offer.
  2. I fish it like a shallow spinner bait. I prefer the jackhammer, specifically the stealth shown in the picture with the clear blade. It’s more subtle and starts vibrating immediately on the first crank.
  3. Fished out of Port of Kimberling the 19th through the 22nd. Water temp was 69-70 and tanic in the coves with maybe 2’ of visibility to start the week. Caught 7-9 each day and had to work hard for them. A little of everything. Walking bait early against the bank. Shad spawn was going on but no big schools of fish chasing them. Just ones and twos. Jigs in laydowns and bladed jig shallow after that. Stayed away from the main lake the first few days due to wind. Also threw a big gizzard shad glide bait but not even a follow. The weather broke and I moved to main lake points, ends of coves and bluff ends. Caught them on a wobble head slowly ticking the rocks. Dragging and taking up slack like a c rig. Fish were in 8-9’ consistently. Caught some with ffs on the shallow run outs but had to waste a bunch of time to get any to bite. Switched the glidebait to a pumpkin seed bluegill and had several follows and 2 good fish the last afternoon. Will upload some pics shortly.
  4. What Bill said. And these…. Good luck.
  5. I’m in and paid with Venmo. Thanks for continuing to coordinate each year. David
  6. From what I hear Babler would need to ref that one.
  7. Bluegill yesterday. A few follows on gizzard and bone. They t-boned bone today.
  8. A few more from this morning on the glide plus a good drop shot spot a few days ago. Connor’s blue gill glide, maybe Brett’s😉, was the deal yesterday. We fished separately this am but caught up on the lake for a bit. A fun few days.
  9. @SupremeJCK and I have been chatting about glide baits this last year. He reached and we connected this morning to throw just glide baits. 2-1 him. He caught the biggest and had a really good smallmouth come unpinned near the boat and had two other really big smallmouth follows back to the boat. He’s a good dude. Had a great time, learned some tricks and look forward to doing it again.
  10. I fished last few days hoping for any stragglers still shallow or moving out. Other than a decent jig fish Thursday night when I got down, I couldn’t catch them shallow. I moved out and found some good ones on the main lake with a drop shot. They aren’t schooled up or really chasing shad. Just hanging out in ones and two’s. The yum minnow worked much better than finesse worm. Water temp was 78-79. Not really clear with a green tint. Boat traffic wasn’t as bad as I was expecting.
  11. Sorry to hear about the lost PB. You caught some good ones though.
  12. How do you like the Spro version compared to the original?
  13. Thanks for sharing. And congrats again.
  14. Congrats on the success. I noticed the name several times when checking the stats during the tournament and kept thinking these guys have them dialed in. Care to share anymore without too much?
  15. Bobby garland baby shad. Pearl with a pink head. The only one I had. All my crappie stuff usually stays at home in KS. I swear they were asleep until I caught the first one. I pulled my boat in the adjacent stall put it on the lift and they didn’t move. The first drop down hung just above the nose of the front fish and she grabbed it. The others would only eat if I was slowly raising it up in front of their nose.
  16. I fished the event Friday and Saturday. Caught 1-2 pounders early each morning on main lake points on the surge shad and one knocker until sun up. It needed to be slow or they would miss it. Threw glide baits, jerkbait, power worm and ned rig the rest of the day with not much success. I did catch 1 each day over 3lb’s, one LM and one spot but neither were good enough for a check. Found a nice surprise at the dock Saturday afternoon and caught a few for the in laws to have for dinner. WT was 61-63, 10’ visibility and sht ton of males on the bank in beds. Slime was still an issues in many places.
  17. Congrats and thanks for the info and detail!
  18. I wish I could catch them on a small swim bait. I try, I just don’t ever seem to have any success. I could go down there tomorrow and have more confidence throwing a buzz bait than a 2.75” swim bait. I probably just need to leave everything else behind so I’m not tempted to switch to something else.
  19. Brett, I might have a stash of Bo’s Jigs I’d trade for one of your brother’s glide baits if one happens to walk off!…..😉
  20. I was the only one in the group that had him and I’m still in 2nd behind you!
  21. Great job Steve. You guys are doing really well this spring. Thanks for sharing.
  22. I wondered if you were going to chime in!…glad you did. Thanks
  23. Nice! I struggled at the other end.
  24. Got out late morning and fished until mid afternoon. It was tough. Little wind and blue skies. I caught one barely legal spot on a z craw in 12’ in the muddy water further south. Was really wanting to crank but the rock snot down here is making it difficult. Switched to a square bill to stay off the bottom and still nothing.
