  1. nice sow. You fishin the Lindley side or Pomme side?
  2. Fished out of Cape Fair yesterday and very minimal floating anywhere. Went up to point 12 with clean water.
  3. The internet is a place to complain, instead of to your spouse.
  4. whos your HP friend?
  5. I was born and raised on the Tx. side. Still spend a fair amount if time camping/fishing the Burns Run area on the Ok. side near the dam. Caught my biggest fish to date below tge dam on the Red River.
  6. Hey TFR, Im the lucky winner of this unit from rps. What transducer do you have? TM mount or transom?
  7. Fish, you are correct. No prints will be taken, unless a serious crime has been commited. Its really hard for me to believe that someone removed the lugs at a ramp. Im curious if there were any lugs at the ramp where the trailer was parked. Chances that someone loosened all of them, without actually removing atleast 1 and leaving it on the ground would be slim to nil. Guess all of my years in law enforcement makes me think this way.
  8. Ive seen wheels fall off vehicles when lugs didnt get tighened back up after someone changed a tire. Have you had that wheel off in the recent past? Were the lugs on other wheel loose when you checked it after accident? Just exploring all avenues.
  9. I read this on the net today before we went down there. Guess i shoulda searched out these areas and lure choice beforehand.
  10. Thanks J, We only had 3 hours to fish by the time we went to Rogers, bought our yearly Arkie fishing license, and got to the lake. We put in at Ventris, and fished the areas ive marked with an X. We didnt land any fish, but had 2 nice fish on, one broke off on a jig, and another spit the hook on a jig. The wind was a little pushy for our aluminum boat, but we managed. Since we bought a year license, that means we will be going back. Not much cover in the areas we fished. Im going to study the lake maps before we make our next trip.
  11. The Mrs. and I were headed to fish Cape Fair, but got the notion to run across the border and try Beaver. We will use the same tactics we use in these lakes, and see what a day of memories on a new body of water brings. Now gotta search for a ramp, route, etc. Will post update tonight.
  12. That speaks volumes for the first shop.
  13. I also charge as soon as we get back from the lake. If its been more than a week since we last went out, i will put charger back on before we go out to top it off. I have left it on overnight when i fell asleep on the couch on several occasions, but i try not to make it a habit.
  14. PM sent
  15. Hey wknd, did Kenny win that? I dont think the bass have spawned. I fish the other end of the lake alot, and havent seen anything resembling a spawned out bass. Still catching males up close, but thr big females we have been catching at in 8 to 12 fow. Try the dam area Redbird. Last few weekends, the winners in tourneys were fishing that area. Not gonna give ya my holes tho.
  16. Check with Matt, Jim. He will give ya his recommendation on what would get ya what your wanting out of your boat, as far as performance. Great people and the best rates I have ever had anywhere I have taken one of my boats to. Yes they are Pepe.
  17. Good deal. Glad you guys got out, and caught fish. Hopefully this wont be his only adventure. Adulthood is catching him fast.
  18. if your coming from the south, put in at Bolivar Landing. For bass, fish the shoreline to the right of the ramp. Lots of fish on that bank, including lots "lots" of crappie. Fish that to the 2nd cutback cove on the right. Or, go straight away from the ramp. You will see an orange marker buoy on the left of that point. Watch the very shallow water there. The cove to the left past that point is another good area. Start at the point, and fish past the docks. The single dock to the right usually holds a few fish. There lots of timber to fish if you turn left out of the ramp and head up the river past the fishing dock, around the first left hand bend. That will get ya started on the lower end of the lake. Try Coopers Cove area also. Its a 5 minute boat ride north of the ramp,
  19. Just want to give a shout out to Matt and those at Dynaprop. Just dropped my boat off to them. Ive had them do work in the past, and they are very good at what they do. I backed the boat into the garage last night, and smacked the prop on the rear wall, drywall, and tweaked a fin. Also having Matt sync my carbs after my slight adjustment, or lack of. If your needing great service, friendly people, then check them out. They are on 76 Hwy west of Reeds Spring near Cape Fair.
  20. Can ya PM me GPS cordinates? I promise not to take more than my share.
  21. are you fishing from a boat?
  22. Will be up there Sat., but i usually am every weekend. Caught a few last weekend on a jig in 10' of water. Didnt see any signs of beds. If your familiar with the lake, then your good. If not, and flippin/pitchin are your thing "like mine" head down river after you launch and try the timber against the bluff past the first set of docks you see on your right a mile down.
  23. Good lookin boat. My buddy Donnie had the same boat, same color years ago. We fished the heck out of that boat for a few years. Good luck with it and the new motor.
