  1. hahaha. Funny stuff right there
  2. I use the old fashioned kind, but only when needed. Growing up on a farm, grandpa used to chew that Redman long cut. I used to watch him spit that brown garb on his bait before every cast. Many moons later, when the fishing gets really tough, i will spit some nice clean saliva on my bait. Again thats only in emergency cases as it works. I dont chew like grandpa did, so every now amd then i will take a bite of a snickers bar and use that. Thats when i usually catch those brown fish. All natural attractant here.
  3. We thought so Daryk. The boys love the freedom it brought to their fishing. I had a Coleman Crawdad, pretty close to the same thing but 10' when I was younger. That thing got wore out pulling it from pond to pond. Awww the memories.
  4. I seen that today and was shocked, because the rods/reels i have lost contact with went straight to the bottom in a hurry. His floated like it was foam filled.
  5. Yes. i used an automotive paint gun and layed it on pretty thick. I let it set out in the sun a few days between coats to cure. I had a Stratos 201Pro a few years ago that i wet sanded to clear and smooth out the clear coat and it came out like new after i buffed it.
  6. haha. Hard to beat an aluminum boat, especially the way we fish.
  7. D, we picked this up which included 2 swivel seats, 2 trolling motors one of which was only a few months old, a marine battery, anchor and rope, collapsible paddle for $350.00. I thought it was a good deal and the boys love the freedom it brings them. We usually camp on our tourney wknds so while im fishing they are out close to camp fishing also.
  8. I had a Bomber "any of you remember those" bass boat in 1993 that was very oxidized and the clear was pretty rough. Being a young guy at the time, with time and energy on my hands, I spent a week, every evening after work in my garage, wet sanding every inch of the top side above the rub rail. I sprayed 2 layers of clear coat over it after I was satisfied with the wet sanding, and let me tell you what. That sucker shined. The pitting you see on boats left out after several years is the clear coat cracking/peeling.
  9. Sharp looking boat there. Now you can upgrade anything on the boat and still be money ahead.
  10. I have a problem..........I'm now a member of 15 groups.
  11. We got the 12 year old twins one so when were camping they can fish in whatever cove were camping in. This pic was taken yesterday at Pomme.
  12. Haha. That lakes loves ya Andy. You just gotta go up that way more.
  13. When i read the article, i was expecting to read that the landing was rougher than tree bark but they didnt mention it. If it wasnt tied down on the deck then chances are it ended up in the water.
  14. What a cool shot from Grand Lake during the Bassmasters.
  15. Trust me, I understand. Here is a direct link. https://www.facebook.com/groups/369192326782774/?ref=bookmarks
  16. Haha. We have the sofa downstairs. We can pretend camp as I've got some of those uncomfortable cots also.
  17. I could fish that MLF setup pretty good. All they gotta do is catch 30, 12"ers. I can do that all day.
  18. He's welcome to stay with us Daryk, if you want to share your bed. Lol
  19. FishEd, you should come join our tin club this year.
  20. One of those 4 minute casts with a suspending jerk bait.
  21. Its great to see you guys getting out. And catching fish. Bonus
  22. He was hammering them with that ugly colored plopper. No one else stood a chance. Goes to show that the best still faulter but someone always guesses the correct bait.
  23. There is no bad days when your on the water. You got out of the house, thats a win.
  24. Man what a day. You need to show me how to catch fish over 12".
  25. Haha. That would make 2 of us blades. Appreciate the offer. aarchdale offered me a ride but if by chance work keeps him away, i would love to fish with ya.
