  1. Put in on this windy day at 9:00am. 2 of us fished up Aunts on points, into some backwater picking up a 16" KY. Right off the bat. Fat fish with obvious eggs in tow. Around 11 we moved over to the point at Little Aunts Creek catching a short K and a short Smallie. Fished down the wind blown side and hooked up on 3 other shorts. Towards the back we caught another 2 keepers, and another short. The wind was not as bad up the cove, but still blowing pretty good. We caught short fish on the Ned, keepers on cranks, and another short on a chatter bait. Our first club tourney of the year is there this Sat. so wanted to see what the fish were doing. The water was in pretty good shape. Low of 49 and hi temps of 56. Didn't catch the keepers I thought we might have, but we did catch a few, so overall a productive day.
  2. Hey aggressor. Good catch there. Fried fish and hush puppies. May have to invite Andy and his brother "your boss" over to help eat them.
  3. Well, I guess I better stop and grab you a week from Friday on my way to Grand Lake in OK. Since you fish Friday's and work Saturdays, that will work out perfect. Im no expert by any means, but will share what knowledge I have on the Ned, or any other bait. I've done pretty well with it the past year, catching numbers upon numbers of fish, but tons of short fish. Always fun to catch numbers, unless we're fishing for money, then quality counts. Let it me know when you make it to Stockton again. I will meet ya up there and we will fish some.
  4. Great. I thought about just inviting everyone to my place to eliminate that equation. Haha. Do any good Macsimus?
  5. I've had a few on here ask about our aluminum only bass club, so thought I'd share some information in case any of you aluminum guys wanted to join us. We fish 9 tournaments from March thru November. We fish on an individual point basis, not a buddy system. If you have a guy in your boat, you are fishing against him. We fish Table Rock, Pomme, Stockton, and have an August tournament on Taneycomo to enjoy some of that cool water during the hot August days. We fish the last Saturday of each month. Times change throughout the year to make use of the changing times, all being day time tournaments. Our first tournament of 2016 is this Saturday. Come out and get started off with a group of great guys, a few are on OA. Any questions comment or PM. Thanks.
  6. I understand. I found some fish in Aunts Sat. afternoon. They should be moved up more by tourney time due to the warm weather this week.
  7. Good job Andy. Those will eat good. Wrong species for Sat. tho
  8. Thanks for the info guys. Really appreciate it. I believe I'm going to make the trip a week from this Friday. Quill, I believe there are a lot of other, maybe even better areas of that lake,Mitch the same quality of fish, but seeing that structure in that area on TV, just made me want to go. I love some visible structure.
  9. Those 2 others are hookless.
  10. Those are what I use AB. You would laugh at my current offerings on that rig.
  11. I know another guy from here was intending to fish that "Macsimus". I fished the Aunts area Sat. For a few hours in the afternoon. Glad the rally turned out. Did you guys ever decide on a place to eat? ?
  12. Any info on it? Anyone know the guy?
  13. Thanks D, I've been giving my input, good or bad, for the past few weeks. Now that fishing season is here, it's time to get on here and talk fishing. The fall finds me on a hunting forum. Hope all is well with you and your getting to fish, and catching some. Was hoping to see you at the OA tourney on the 12th.
  14. What they said. As Ham said, they get alot bigger than that. Nasty little creatures. But fight good.
  15. Haha, cute little guy. You could tell the excitement in his voice. Great fish.
  16. They say it's a pretty popular community hole, with lots of tourneys won in that area. Just wondered if that area is on the side of the lake I need to launch from coming from Mo.
  17. Hey 5, I'm watching the Classic as I type this. That area that Evers won it, is that on the upper end of the lake? Thinking of making a trip over there in the next 2 weeks. Any info would be great. Thanks
  18. Congrats. That's a toad.
  19. Excellent report Bill, and even very professional at the beginning. I fished Aunts Creek yesterday from noon until 3:30 catching 7 fish on a crank, all in 5 FOW or less on secondary points. As you said, it was it bit cool out compared to what we've had the past week.
  20. Man, congrats to Rick and his family. I haven't got to look at the results yet, but tickled that he pulled it off, after that hefty bag yesterday. Good story Bill. From what I've seen of him, he's very down to earth.
  21. Thats a hefty sack.
  22. Haha, if you go to the Cabelas in Rogers, Ar. he may just meet ya there. ?
  23. I have a Humminbird 686 up front and a Garmin 73sv at the console. Your best bet is to decide how you intend to use it, and look for a product that will match your needs. J-Doc is full of free advise when it comes to electronics and I would take what he says and store it.
  24. Andy uses the Xi5 and has great things to say about it, but has a few things he doesn't. He will give ya an honest review when he sees this.
  25. That's a good buy
