Vented Yamaha SHO Engine Cover ???
Ketchup replied to skeeter's topic in Tips & Tricks, Boat Help and Product Review
Look up Tuff Skinz. Most of the bug guys on the Skeeter FB pages use theirs with good reviews. May look at RMP as well. -
Gone twice this week, and other than a few short fish on a drop shot, it has been tough. Fishing between 11am and 3pm. Going to try and hit the early bite friday to see if it’s more productive.

Just wondering

Well, there is a mechanic on this forum that knows the ins and outs of a Merc, and according to him, they are the best built thing since fuel lines were invented. He will be with you shortly. I have him tied up at the moment. -
You could use the word “accident” for most scenarios in life. Those accidents, like in this case are usually followed by some type of charge, i.e: involuntary manslaughter, careless operation of a water vessel, etc. but the guy will live the rest of his life asking for a redo of those 5 seconds of his life.

From what i heard from the inside is, he was idling up towards the swimmers when he tripped/stumbled and just happened to grab the throttle on accident causing full power and couldn’t stop it until it hit the bluff. They did test him on scene, which is customary. Just happened that his daughter was swimming right in front of it. No kill switch attached.

Oh my. You can correct him on those nasty merc motors, and him not wearing a life jacket, and also about his religious ways, but do not, i repeat do not correct him on his fish i.d, fish catching skills “or lack of it during our tournament together”, or his shooting skills.

Sounds like a marriage

No response from them.

Please read my “what happened to the political section” thread. 😁

NO they are not. Can anyone here picture wrench sitting at church, listing to the speaker, with his mind being filled with MORE questions. I could see him trapping that poor soul in the hallway afterwards and giving him the “wrench” treatment on religious things.

I don’t think these types follow the regatta advice much, like the fishing community. Probably wouldn’t even know it existed. One could only hope, but this may be one of those “hold my beer” scenarios. We had a wakeboard boat and taught lots of my kids friends the ropes over the years. Had roughly 500 pounds of ballast while we were actually wakeboarding. I see so many of these boats now with full ballast just running around the lake, causing those 4’ swells behind. We always catered to the fishermen, as we were those too. Never went into a cove that had any other boaters.

Been using Seven for years to help repel the bugs. With watering daily, it just washes it off, which the leaves are getting tore up overnight. Read online several homemade recipes that some use. What are you guys using to help?

Browning Citori Serial Number--What year??
Ketchup replied to Ryan Miloshewski's topic in Weapon Discussions
Ryan, did you ever find an answer? -
We love watching the critters out the window daily. The bucks are growing size, the does feeding babies, the rabbits playing, etc. I have 3 areas on the property that i keep corn/minerals/powder growth out to keep them all coming back. Between 11:30pm and 3am during my sleeping hours, my phone goes off many many times, letting me know the critters are in front of a camera. We use them on a few places, including home, and enjoy the weird poses and pictures we get. Funny watching the coons and does fight over a feeder. anyone else feed this time of year?

The reason i asked is due to a few current topics i see, that in the old days would have possibly been moved to that section. And, it was a place to go when i would get bored here, to sit back and read the same guys go back and forth like a baptist and JW that were married. And if I remember correctly, it was a place for most things off topic, like the streaks in wrenches undies.

I’ve been a fan of the spicy/hot flavor game for most of my adult life. I will typically eat a raw jalapeño on most foods, or raw as i weed the garden. As I’m aging into the night, it appears my ability to go beyond a habanero is almost gone. I picked one last evening while watering, and it about tore me up. A year or 2 ago i could eat them with no issues. I made burritos for dinner Wednesday night, and chopped some jalapeños and white onion we picked, and added the proper amount to the top of my dinner. Being the only one in this house that eats anything hotter than taco sauce, they just laugh when my eyes start to water. Here is a jar of mixed jalapeños and habanero i canned in 2017. This will go well with meatloaf tonight.

In the mid 90’s i spent a year in a small town near the rim in Arizona. I had little to do during the day, so i would make the short drive to one of the mountain lakes that were full of trout, towing the 16’ Starcraft with a 20hp. I caught lots of fish casting salmon eggs or trolling rooster tails in those lakes. Not sure of those would work on Taney, but going to give this trout catching another try in 3 weeks.

3 trips the past 2 years, and total i have caught 4 trout. My trips usually target the bass, but some i fish with want to target those shiny fish at times. Kinda like my crappie fishing success stories. Typically catch 2 of them when others are pulling in limits in 2 hours. I don’t eat fish, so makes my task after getting home from the lake more simple. Back the boat in the shop, and done.

House moves to repeal the Pittman-Robertson act.

Know the feeling. Worse shift i worked was for almost 2 years. I rotated to cover guys days off. I worked 2 days 7am to 3pm. 2 days 3pm to 11pm. And the last 11pm to 7am. That was a week shift. When i went to 10 hour shifts, that helped. After becoming a D.A.R.E officer, that took me off nights and put me on days for 11 weeks a year, weekends off. . Great for family time, but not so much for stirring things up with the finest in the county. Rest of the year was 5pm to 3am. Awesome shift if you are active. Last span was as a K9 handler/drug interdiction officer. Lots of great memories from that task. -
Slept? You had to be there to sleep.

So, recently we were headed to Beaver, but somehow the boat ended up launched at Rockaway. Better half has never caught a trout, so that was the plan. I tied on about the only thing i own that might catch a trout, the ol’ #5 Flicker Shad. We ran up to where the water got pretty skinny, somewhere around Pointe Royale “had to look that up”. Fished most of the way back and not a single bite, nibble, tuggy, nothing. Being one of those hot days, and that cold air coming off the water, it wasn’t to boring of a trip. Looking back now i should have tied on a jig and looked for the bass. I see/hear people catch more trout than they care to on that water. Guess i better check out “Trouting On The Como” on youtube. “Don’t steal my new youtube channel name”. 😉
