  1. I trust doctors about as much as I trust the media sadly... what do you call the person who graduates last in med school... a doctor. Rule number 1 comes into play here folks. Vet those doctors and do your own homework on ailments. Yes there are some amazing ones out there I've been blessed to work with, but man some are just pill pushers who barely eeked out of med school... As for covid I know a handful who have had it and they have all fully recovered. Symptoms ranged from a bad flu that took 8 days to get over to one who had a runny nose, mild fever, and was back to normal in 3 days... none required hospitalization, all of them loaded up on zinc, vitamins, and stayed well hydrated. As for the topic of ammo this panic buying will likely be worse than the 2012 sandy hook fallout. 9mm is up to $.60cpr and 5.56 is there too. Going to be a while before supply catches up. Gun sales are through the roof with all the craziness going on. I learned my lesson after sandy hook and even before that to buy cheap and stack it deep... wish I would of stocked a few more calibers, but those days are long gone. Ammos out there if you need it though, I saw 9mm just today locally at $ .64 and $.68 cpr.
  2. Wow! You guys saved me from allot of potential trouble! I've seen drunks and dopers down there but never would I imagine a banana on my dash would be an open invite for some extra lovin...
  3. I've heard no bananas in the boat but never heard of on the dash... I do eat allot of bananas while fishing... do I need to worry?
  4. Last trip out to Idaho for work, a buddy and I snuck out for a half day to the caribou national forest to fish the blackfoot. Saw an agent pull in next to our vehicle as I headed up to retie my leader. He asked me to stop and was very standoffish, hand on his closed holster... No hi or hello and immediately asked to see my license and to tell my buddy to get out and over to him now. I tried to be polite, but he was being pretty aholish until he saw my out of state license and that I was from MO, then everything changed. After we told him we were working at the mine and just squeezing in some fishing he turned a full 180 and was nice as could be and even told us a few spots to try and chit chatted with us for a bit. Turns out our rental truck had California tags and that's gonna catch ya some crap in Idaho! A couple of our mining guys said were lucky he didn't start shooting lol and that if you're running Cali plates the police and wardens in small town Idaho are going to target you. Outside of that I've never had an issue in MO or been checked in any other state. Taney county Sherriff's have stopped to talk with me a few times at Taney during the night hours, all have been pretty cool, one even told me they're just making the rounds looking for dopers, and to call if I ever need or see anything.
  5. I've honestly never been down past the landing... 1. I don't boat fish all that much. 2. I guess it's hard for me to leave a sure thing by going up lake... What's fishing like on the other side of the dam in bull shoals? It's not tail water type water correct? I need to plan an exploration trip...
  6. Well I'm at myself plus 3. Plus 4 if you lump FMCBrandon in with me. He is my cousin after all hahaha. So I have a party of 5. We also only have 1 boat so we'll likely be renting one. We're easy, so just let me know what we gotta do guys. I don't sleep much and can crash in a chair, but these other princesses with me like their beauty rest haha
  7. One of these times you guys who fish down lake need to catch a monster... maybe that will force us guys who always go up lake to try further down. Travis I know you fish down quite a bit, time to break that 30in mark!
  8. We're good renting one, just need to know where from. May need 2 boats as I just heard from Geno and he's gonna make it too. God bless the poor souls who get stuck with him. Although he will teach ya all the good spanish words, and it's almost guaranteed you'll get to watch him cut a hook out of himself. Haha
  9. You might be missing out Pete! Got the voice of an angel and body of a sasquatch! Hahahaha
  10. Ok so I have myself plus 2 at this point. The 3 off us are also boatless bums who will strip or sing for a fee ride lol.
  11. I made it out with my fishing buddy Rob. He pokes fun and calls me the great white fisherman, and he's the great white hunter of our group lol. We're hunting new property this year at his cabin, but still learning the land. We decided Saturday that we'd go out at dawn and scout. Scout we did... after about 5 miles with all our gear in the lovely hill country we found our way back to the cabin after finding the power lines... having 1000 acres to hunt is nice but man you can get turned around. I hunted Saturday afternoon while my partner napped lol. I saw 2 doe on the trail road and had a stand off as she stomped and snorted at me lol. This morning got to blind in the dark and heard brush crashing right before daylight. I knew there was something about 30yrds away but was still dark and man the vegetation was super thick everywhere. Saw that deer at 8AM and was a little buck who got pretty close before he saw me and startled. Saw another pair on the main trail and did the stare down again on my way out. As I was almost back to the cabin I was following some fresh tracks down the trail and saw 3 deer about 40 yards into the shrubbery. I parked next to a tree to watch them. There was a really nice fat momma doe and her 2 fawns... I debated orphaning those fawns and she ultimately made my decision for me by never giving me a clear ethical shot through the vegetation. 3 more steps to the right and story might be different lol. I did enjoy watching them play and interact though, and it's not always about the kill. I figured I'll have plenty of opportunities and with the amount of coyotes they have there I'd be killing 3 deer by taking that one.
  12. I enjoy our stays at riley's, but if it's not in the cards I'll stay wherever. Thanks to all of you for the offers and the coordination. Makes it nice for folks like me who stink at planning...
  13. Very nice buddy! Tell Liv I said job well done! Im sure she can get one more before end of year.
  14. Man that's just awful...
  15. Well I'll have to check the books, but my plans are always in a constant state of chaos. Im fine with waiting till Oct. 30th I'll fish all night and sleep in my car if I have to lol... I know that's night for everyone though, and by bday 3 I'm a bit ripe in those waders.
  16. Beautiful specimens! Thanks for sharing
  17. That I agree we shall one day see Rick. I prefer my dunkings to occur in the summer time Lord willing lol. I watched Geno swimming around like a drunk dolphin in December and didn't look much fun!
  18. Slipped down the river? Like white water rafting lol. Okay not that bad, wasn't picking seat cushion from posterior line after my ride shoal hopping with Duane lol. Im a bit skittish in boats though for sure. Exact opposite when I'm standing in the water! Haha
  19. Man rough crowd in here hahaha. You guys better watch it or I'll drag ya all up and down the river at all hours of the night lol. Marathon death March fishing Ftw!
  20. Awesome man! I'd live a salamander for my aquarium.
  21. Congrats on the new rig! Hope she treats you well.
