  1. Very well written and informative! Thats what i would hope to find when looking/reading a fishing repot. Give folks a solid general idea of what's going on. It always feels good to get that kind of info then refine it to your style, maybe mix iy it slightly, etc and catch fish. My thoughts anyway.
  2. Oh yes, I'm not afraid to set the hook!!! Can't remember the last time i had one jump in boat without it. Well....i did fish a tournament on the Mississippi a couple years ago and had flying carp thing that about did. Anyway, not here......take care all!
  3. Very nice, got to love the Ned!!! I have become a Ned head and will be using it in the next couple days. Thanks!!!
  4. Fished today for a few hours. Had a classic Roland Martin hook set, fight was on, pulling drag......cedar tree. Other than that, zero!!!! Threw aboutt $700 dollars of lures (nothing expensive) tried all i got, noda. Beautiful day in paradice, wouldn't change it for anything.Tomorrow going to Springfield to pick out tile for shower rehab......
  5. Got down here around 3p yesterday, 2-11. Spent about 2 hrs just fishing close to the Indian Point marina area. I was flippin a jig in empty boat stalls and fished mainly docks. Three short large mouths and one keeper smally. All bites were in the front portion of the empty stalls. Initially started using 15 lb floro and 1/2 oz jig. Nothing on that so i picked up a 3/8 pbj w/10 lb floro started getting bit, same set of docks. I also fished my beloved biffle head w/watermelon red flake rage craw. Something about took the rod out of my hand, caught me looking at nature, no other strikes on it. That was on a point in about 15 ft of water headed back to the dock, verry little wind around 5p. Glad to be back in God's country, take care and tight lines.
  6. I'll be back sat the 11th throught the following sat. Can't wait! I love the forecast and hope my arrival from the north country doesn't mess it up for you guys, dragging cold air with me. Hope you all are doing well, take care.

  9. Merry Christmas
  10. I know a lot of guys dont care for lews spinning reels, however i picked up two tournament metal speed spin's. They are black and white and cost $80. We used them exclusively for neds last year with no problems. I was using the new Sunline braid, floro and their mono (out for a few yrs) and all lines worked well. One time we got line behind the spool somehow but other than that worked great!
  11. Great video and I'm looking forward to more, thank you.

  23. Thanks Mike and James. Michelle and i got back out this morning and put into play what Mike was doing. The rock crawler was the ticket and she caught them on the ned.
  24. Vernon, got out this morning around indian point. Fished with Mike (M&M) yesterday and saw how the rock crawler worked. Tried it today and bingo, thanks you guys for the info! My wife caught them this morning on the ned. Only had 3 keepers and two shorts but good times. We were in pockets just inside indian point. Boat in 25 ish and they all came from 10-14 ish. Nothing on top or right on the bank. When the wind came up we went further back in the creek hit two more coves, not a sniff.
  25. Truly outstanding!
