  1. I thought the same thing. Isn't it a winter Ned jersey? Mike
  2. I'd say a jig or crankbait. Mike
  3. Chris, I'll be down there starting Monday the 6th and leaving on the 16th. Maybe we can get together for some fishing and dinner with the spouses. Looking forward to it if you are available. Mike
  4. Hammer, thanks for the information. Did they hit it during the pause or just when you moved the rogue? Healthy looking fish. Mike
  5. Or you can go on the MO Department of Conservation website and do it on line and print out as many copies you want. I keep one in my wallet, one in my boat and one in my traveling tackle box in case I fish out of someone else's boat. Mike
  6. Vernon, that is what the gauge on my new Raymarines indicated. I had two of them installed and they both registered the same readings of temp and depth so I assume they were either both correct or both incorrect. Mike
  7. I managed a couple of hours on TRL around the dam area today. Trying out my new Raymarine electronics. Very easy to use and very clear picture. Ulrich did a very good job installing them for me. They were impressed with the clarity and easy operation. Caught 3 SM today all keepers but just barely in 15 ft. One on a jerk bait and two on the Ned. My wife went with me. (She is the other M in M&M). She actually caught the biggest SM on a Ned today. WT was 49.1 to 50.5. Beautiful day to be on the water. Water was very clear Mike
  8. Champ, good luck if you head out. im considering heading out by the dam area of the rock. Mike
  9. Champ, you're up early. Heading to the lake today? Mike
  10. Congratulations on being able to spend the day on the water. Thanks for the information. Mike
  11. Champ, sounds like you and Donna had to work for those 6 fish. Thanks for the information. Mike
  12. Perseverance!!! Mike
  13. QB, congratulations on getting back on the water. How did the knee hold up? Mike
  14. By the way it is a Senior Pass called the "America the Beautiful" Pass. I've attached a picture of mine. I got mine at the Dewey Short building at TRL dam. Mike
  15. If you are over 62 you can buy a lifetime pass for $10 and it is good at any COE ramp. Mike
  16. Sprint, good job. Nice pics of healthy fish. Mike

I'm hoping that the Raymarine Dragonfly 7 pros I'm getting installed on the trolling motor and dash will help me find those schools. Mike

    Big M 1/11

Sorry I'm a couple of days late but I finally managed to get in a couple of hours of fishing on Wednesday. I got to the Big M ramp around 9am. Spent a good 45 minutes talking to a local resident angler, Jim Clay who was launching also. He's retired from UPS and been living on TRL for about 3 years. After swapping stories, I launched and headed to Rock Creek. WT was 42.7 to 43.8. I fished a jerk bait the entire length of the bluff entering Rock Creek. No love there. I picked up a Ned at the end of the bluff and caught a nice 16" LM on the 3rd cast in <10 fow. I motored to the other side of the cove and began fishing that bluff with the Ned. Caught 2 KYs in the next 10 minutes both in <10 fow. One was a small keeper and the other was a 13". I could not feel the bite on the 3 fish rather I just felt tension and set the hook. I fished the rest of the bluff but no love there either. The wind picked up and I decided to head for the ramp. I took out at 11:30am. There were 4 other boats that launched from Big M that morning. It was nice to finally get on the water even for only a short time. I usually fish the dam area but I wanted to get a look at the low water around Big M. Looks pretty good up there. On the way back, I dropped my boat at Ulrich Marine to have them install my new electronics and give my motor a check up since it is an older Johnson 150. Mike

    Lews line

Flouro sinks and braid & mono floats. Once you understand that part, the rest becomes a preference. Mike
  22. Edwin, I've used kimberling city upholstery on 13. While in there the owner was doing a bunch of boat seats and wind blocks for docks. It is in an L shaped strip mall on the west side of 13 north of the bridge. Mike
  23. Ditto. In both sizes Mike
  24. I would agree and add motion sensor lights that go on when someone approaches the docks from either the land or water. Make sure the lights illuminate the signs so just in case the thieves can read, they will have to make a decision of whether to steal from that dock or move on down the lake. RPS, sorry to hear that you have been victimized. Mike
  25. Smalls, congratulations on the first SM on the new rig. The first of many. Thanks for the information. Mike
