  1. Put in at Moonshine at 10am. Fished a creek I'm trying to get to know well. Caught the fish in the picture on a spin jig on the 2nd cast next to a dock. Wound up with 10 fish and 2 other keepers. Took out at 2pm. Other fish were caught on a pb&j Ned. Saw a large fish on a bed behind the last dock in the cut I was fishing. Did not throw to it. WT pretty steady at 58.6. Used the new Raymarine electronics to see fish at 17 fow on the bottom. Backed off and threw Ned across it and caught 2 SM on successive casts. Slime is still in some places. All fish were 17 fow or less. Only a couple were within 6' of the bank. Mike
  2. Abk, congratulations. Nice fish to bring in the last hour. Makes the weekend a little better. Mike
  3. Royal Blue, just one boat bag? What do you do with the other colors, sizes and hooks? Mike
  4. Vernon, winner gets a $36,000 new boat Mike
  5. Vernon, are talking about the old days without air conditioning? Without microwaves? Men in suits and ties and women in dresses going to a baseball game? Or are you talking about 2015 when the Royals won the World Series?
  6. Vernon, oh no you didn't talk negatively about the Cardinals on opening day? Today is more special than even Christmas!!!! Clydesdales and all show up for opening day. Ok I'm done and getting off my soapbox. Mike
  7. Quill, thanks for the information. Left fish to find fish? HMMM......you must be an explorer. Mike

Vernon, Patlock and I are fishing it and we put in at Big M. We actually live off Stormy Point Rd which is a little closer to the dam than Indian Point. It is about an hour drive by car to trailer way up the river but it is worth it to participate. Catching a keeper to weigh in is like icing on that participation cake . Hope it works out for you. Nice fish. And watch out for floating debris. With the water rising stuff is floating off the shoreline. Mike
  10. Thanks for the report. Sounds like 2 1/2 hours of fun. Mike

Vernon, the OAF tourney is from 6:30am to 2:30pm. You can launch from anywhere on TRL but you just have to be at Eagle Rock at 2:30. And you only need to weigh in one bass. You shouldn't need much time to catch one bass. So when you get there come on by to enjoy the picnic after the tourney is over. Mike
  12. Champ, do you like living on the edge? After that offer I suggest you sleep with one eye open for a while. Also check your reels to see if they have been tampered with. If you didn't want her to wear the buff you should just be honest with her but it is hardly a reason to offer her for trade. lol Mike
  13. Champ, I totally agree. We noticed that there were a lot of shad in the backs of pockets that had water running into it from the rain. Bass were very close to those shad. Just like us, bass gotta eat so they have to move where the food is. Mike
  14. So that appears to be your buffet box. It has a little of everything. Mike
  15. Wow the lake is rising and all that shoreline stuff is gonna be floating. Time to be careful while boat riding. Mike
  16. Fat spot in that picture. Sweet. Mike

By the way I forgot to let everyone know we only used a pbj Ned. We both lost one on a fish at the boat but otherwise we used the same Ned the entire time. 4 of the keepers were on either side of the same point. They were stacked on there. Mike
  18. Mary and I put in at Moonshine at 11 am and fished within a mile on some points and small coves. We caught 27 with 6 keepers a mixed bag of SM, LM & KYs. Forgot our phones so no pictures. But saw many boats Pre-fishing for this weekend. Got off the water at 3:30. WT 56.2 - 58.7. Mike
  19. 176, I noticed that one box is not labeled. HMMM..... Mike
  20. Vernon, RIP. Mike
  21. LB22, could have been disastrous w/o the life jacket. Safety first!!!! Nice pictures. Mike
  22. Bo, nice day for sure. Congratulations. Those are fine looking jigs. I really like using them also. Very healthy looking fish. Mike
  23. What time is the fish fry? Your forum family want to make sure we get there on time. Nice jag o' fish Mike
  24. Bassinbill, sounds like you had a great day. There are days when the bite is exactly like you described. Then there are times when they jerk it out of your hand. What works for me is to do nothing but keep the line with a slight sag and keep my fingers on the line so I can feel the slightest tick. Nice pictures of healthy fish. Welcome to the forum. A bunch of great folks here. Mike
