  1. Doesn't even flinch when that rod breaks, what a hook setting hero.
  2. I've never seen it obviously but I have this image of a hookset so massive there is no need to reel anything in, the fish comes flying into the boat.
  3. I guess I will just pick one and roll with it to see how it goes. Luckily my wife supports my fishing addiction and is cool with buying stuff.
  4. Was thinking the exact same thing. I don't have any recommendations though.
  5. I don't know man, just doesn't seem worth the risk around here. I've seen quite a few ponds lately and none looked safe enough to go out on.
  6. Just curious, how does the bigger spool maximize the FC? I've never really used FC. Pitched around a lot of dock cables at LotZ and my go-to was P-Line CXX because it held up pretty well.
  7. Nice, I was looking at that particular rod actually. Will probably pick one up. Thanks for the tip.
  8. Currently in High Ridge, work in Creve Coeur.
  9. Any suggestions on a spinning set up for the ned rig? Rod/reel combo or separate would be fine. Sub 200$ would be best, 150$ would be better. Thanks for the advice!
  10. I caught that too, funny!
  11. Looks like I will be going with a friend down to Table Rock in late February. What would be a couple good line/lure set-ups to have tied on? Will I need to respool with flouro? Could the more economical braid w/flouro leader work? I have 4 baitcasters, 2 on medium heavy rods, 2 on medium. I will probably pick up a spinning set-up before the trip as well as I have wanted one for a while anyway. Thanks for any help! Apologies if this is not the correct place to post this.
  12. Oh no, no kayaks on that lake for me! Will be for smaller bodies of water.
