  1. I thought I was the only one! I was just thinking the other day, that I needed a bigger binder.
  2. I have almost as many Bandit 200s as I do the others. I like them a lot.
  3. Oh and we saw 59 degree water up in Bear. I dragged the ned a ton yesterday with one bite. It just wasn't my day. I snapped a rod casting a Rock Crawler, and probably should've left right after that!
  4. Man, I sure missed out on those whites yesterday on Bull. It was pretty tough out there. I had one largemouth on a shaky head, a handful on a rock crawler, lost a good fish at the boat, and threw the A-rig quite a bit with ZERO bites. We fished from K-dock all the way to Bear creek. Right at the end of the day we got into the crappie over a brushpile that I found a few weeks ago. Caught 4 and then they just shut down. Tough day for us.
  5. I'm going to try to be there. It depends on getting the day off and also the fact that it's my wife's birthday. Other than that, add me to the list as a strong maybe and I'll have a partner along as well. Paul Baum
  6. Well crap. How'd I miss that?
  7. I'm gonna look somewhat stupid for asking this, but what's the Varmint?
  8. Everyone I know that catches them down there is way up by Beaver. That's the extent of my knowledge of them.
  9. Yeah, Tactical Bassin is must follow on YouTube.
  10. That's probably our biggest issue. We're fishing K-Dock area most of the time. That big keeper brownie that I caught over there last month was in Yocum creek.
  11. I've literally only caught one keeper brown fish out of that pond and a few small ones. We fish it all the time too. I have no idea why, but almost everything I catch down there are large mouth and Kentuckies. Now at Table Rock there are some toad smallies around the dam area.
  12. I've been told that you want the SI at the helm.
  13. LOL, I guess I may need t re-think my approach too. I probably need to start gluing mine as well, but I digress...
  14. Doesn't Evinrude have something like a 10 year warranty right now? I can't see why that wouldn't make for a compelling reason to get a non-black motor...
  15. I've seen some of theirs on Craigslist. I'll have to drive up there and check them out.
  16. Id say that my budget is $13-20K. I live in Ozark. I've been looking at 17-18 foot models and this may sound crazy, but I've been torn about looking at models with 40hp so I can hit Fellows Lake in addition to the others. I have several friends with nicer glass boats so I can always go with them, but my son is really getting into the outdoors and he's 11. We need our own ride. I just can't go buy a new glass boat with 3 kids and one almost in college. I used to have a 21 ft Cobra with a 200hp Yamaha. I just don't think I need something that crazy these days. I just ordered a Crestliner brochure. They've been on my radar too.
  17. That's why I've taken them off of the list. I've looked hard at G3, Tracker, and Ranger, but keep coming back to the Alumacraft.
  18. Dave, Do you still like cutting the Zinker or using the TRD better?
  19. I'm probably going to pull the trigger on a boat very soon. I've been torn on buying an older glass boat and ordering a new tin boat. I realize that I can get a lot more boat going the older route, but my time on the water is so limited, that I want to spend it fishing and not messing with the boat. Anyone have any experience with Alumacraft? I really like what I see with them.
  20. I bought a big binder that has pockets for jigheads too. That's the only thing I've figured out so far. Taking them out of the bag is a no no for me.
  21. I'd drag the Ned or a shaky head all the way back into the pockets of Mill Creek. Especially in the evenings you should do well back there and safe in the Kayak too.
  22. I'm gonna be loaded up with senkos!
  23. Let me know. I'll just join both groups. I like your proposal.
