  1. https://kingfisherboats.com/boats/multi-species-2125-accord-sport/ This is the one I want someday when I am rich 😃
  2. It sounds counterintuitive, but riding my bike always seems to help. In about two sessions I'm feeling better. I'm covered in work or I would come up and help you. I'll try not to drop stuff behind the transom this time
  3. I've waded chest deep water, in just shorts and tennis shoes, stood a few minutes to get that cast in just the right spot, I have had cottonmouths swim just a few feet from me, see me, then dive under water. I just keep fishing. I will say this, if I had seen it first, I'm not sure if I would have went in right away. Copperheads float too, I once saw one fall off a bluff, into the water. I don't think it was part of the plan, it got out asap. I was told as a child that all poisonous snakes float (most of the body) when in water. I have not seen all poisonous snakes so don't know that for sure.
  4. Yep, they are like humans without a soul
  5. I was able to take my aunt on her first kayak fishing trip for her birthday, she is 70 something, and gets around very well. We did not get on the water until 3pm off by 7:30pm, after the learning curve, boated 3 keepers, and lost a pretty good one, pb&j trick worm, #5 size shad like crankbait was the ticket for us. East end of Springfield lake. God used this woman to change my life, she is still teaching me, and others about the love God has extended toward us. God Bless you Carolyn on your birthday ! P.S. there are plenty of pawpaws around Springfield lake.
  6. The same habit and habitat seem to apply in tablerock there are just about 10 feet deeper many time. Stockton was a good teacher and of course all the kind folks on this forum.
  7. Got a late start, I'm an hour and a half from the water. Anyway got the boat in by 8am, walleye and gills were my target, jigged a spoon, had some interest but no takers. I usually don't fish the gravel much, but I did find 3 short walleye 17 1/2, and 3 gills before 10am. All came off gravel run outs with steep drop offs. Bottom bouncers and jig and crawler. It was super hot by 10am so the wife and I drove the boat around a bit to blow the cobwebs out, it's been over a year since I have been in the boat ! Anyway maybe I will get back out in October. I'm happy I still remember how to find them, and I didn't get skunked.
  8. I was with you one day, I remember ! I remember you catching one on your spot and me not on mine 🙂
  9. Thank you ! Sounds like my kind of fishing !
  10. I was wondering when this would happen. I was also wondering how many layers of lead sinkers and shot are down there🤔
  11. I am curious how Bull fishes in this weather. I have caught good numbers of walleye from Stockton and Tablerock on these hot mornings in July. Bull is a pretty good drive for me, so that is my reason for reaching out. Thanks
  12. This one is my favorite so far. It sounds classy to me.
  13. The Lilley Pad...
  14. We can Tackle it.
  15. Ok so here's the deal, you retired guys can no longer post your successes. Us working slobs can no longer afford to go to the lake😷 After church I plan on siphoning the gas out of the boat to mow the lawn. I feel blessed that I have some extra fuel to keep the lawn nice. No really congratulations ! Sounds like a wonderful day.
  16. Yep it's always on my days off too.
  17. Yes I did around big M. I'm sorry I missed you too.
  18. I'm glad you were able to get in, I was the guy in the white suv. I ended up going to shell knob.
  19. Bank fishing !👍
  20. I forgot about that one, next time. Thank you.
  21. Yes it was barricaded off. You could not get to the parking lot at all
  22. I was told that you will get a ticket for launching from the marina parking lot. I was going to do that but got stopped by the manager.
  23. It was closed yesterday, no sign at the shack up front, you get to pay and find out later that it's closed, went to Campbell point, but the ramp was too long and shallow for my wife's suv, I ended up launching at shellknob. Caught I don't know how many short k bass in the brush on the bank, pb&j trick worm was the ticket for me. I'm an open water fisherman I can do the bank busting stuff, I don't like it as much. Every thing seemed to be in the shallows
