I have for crappie, it works well vertical jigging in the brush. I use a long shank hook though. I know it sounds counter intuitive, but it work well.

I have only fished a flutter spoon a little but I fish a 1/2oz 1/4oz Binks jigging spoon year around, in fact it is my go-to bait I guess. I seem to always try it first, I have caught so many species on a spoon. I still have not tried the Dixie Jet but I will someday I will, when my other ones quit working.😁

That guy in the pic, is probably thinking, "Look at the fillets n this thing". My grandfather put a woop'n (one of those, I think I might die kind) on his son (my uncle) for releasing fish, and not bringing them to the dinner table. For those of us of humbler means, sometimes fishing is not just for fun. It was a different time.

Flutter spoons displace more water than a lead jigging spoon. Flutter spoons are not usually made from lead, like a jigging spoon.

For sure I am an hour + away, the drive home makes me think about selling the boat.

I guess we all have a story like that, welcome to the human race. God bestows His grace on us, because He knows that we will need it. Last year my wife and I were fishing near Emerald Beach Tablerock. We were east of Emerald Beach (the wide side) There is plenty of water for everyone, we were working the bank, it seemed like this one wake boat had a mission to try to swamp us, I mean like a short cast away from our boat on every pass. I was so mad ! I will put it like this...it was a good thing that I did not have a way to send a projectile in his direction. Anyway😂 God is good, we caught fish, even a nice tablerock walleye which is like a treasure for me. Maybe all those waves turned the bite on?
